infrared, hahahaha who uses that anymore

gee nokia is way beta coz it has infrared NOT

just coz nokia has all this already in a fone doesnt mean ppl want a nokia. i for one hate symbian, se is standand ui and can cope with all the same features, so how does symbian = better?? just read the review gsm gave this fone, 95% was good. another thing that sucks with nokia is the themes and the file system. so se wins for that again. and games on a fone whoopy do. ill have my psp for that. also who has time to play games on a fone. all the features of this fone i will use and i will use with great pleasure as the se phones are nice to look at, nice to touch and easy to use. give me a nokia and the plastic is disgraceful the ui is ugly and more complicated and definitely harder to work out. neways there is always lovers and haters and i love se phones they suit my tastes and do the job well. ive had nokias and lg's and cant stand either of them, i always come back to se.

And because SE can produce a 262k vibrant and vivid display, they don't need 16 gazillon color.

whats the point of smartphone? does it mean you can play halo on it or WoW? or maybe running a SLi system??

seriously, a phone should just be a phone.....

if this keep going on, i bet bill gates will release one called "GatePhone" which have a 50" LCD display with 1 billion color, a 50mp camera, with vistaXmac system. Gatephone run on gas with 10 cpu and 20 HDD.

if you think about it...look at the name and the look of the phone...its quite similar to n95 right?

and the name...c905 which could basically mean n95 only replaced with a C and added a "0" hehehehe

and I wonder...how can some people dub it as "n series killer" when this phone pitted against the n95 only has bigger picture resolution which isnt even double the pixel count of the n95 wheras in video recording n95 does quadruple the amount that the c905 is able to produce...

and what does the c905 has that the n95 hasnt?

nothing aside from the bigger picture resolution

what does the n95 have that the c905 doesnt..
for starters it is a smartphone, has video card for ngage gaming,VGA video at 30fps, better LCD screen and more buttons and even infrared, better processor (since the c905 uses the same type of arm9 209mhz processor as the k850)

Im sorry I fail to see why does it have to be dubbed as an "n series killer"

that amount of hype alone can lead this phone to being an "epic fail"

why cant we just let this phone shine by its own instead of having to carry the burden of a huge hype surrounding it...kinda reminds me of kill zone for the ps2 against halo of the x box

Anonymous, 19 Jun 2008The human eye can only distinguish 256k colours, to increase it is only a marketing device. ... moreActually the human eye can reach about 10 millions colors as some sources state. But to tell you the truth i've had a 16m display(N95) and my k850(262k) and i'd prefer the k850 anyday.(except the size :( )

Nokia should begin improving the build of their future phones if they still want to be ahead of the competition. Because you know, there are a lot of great-looking, better built phones emerging in the market today. Nokia please, stop copying the design of N81 over and over and over and over again. The iPhone is nothing compared to N95 but yet it's even much desired by many. Why? Because it's one of a kind. It never copies, in fact, it's the one which is copied. Nokia is only good in putting more and more features and technologies in a single device, but the design and build is redundant, not amazing, not exciting.

I've always been a Nokia fan but I must admit I'm very much amazed by SE C905. It's too good to be true. C905 can beat some, if not all, high-end Nseries phones. The features are great and exciting. I like the silver C905 most. It looks so stunning and it looks expensive.

LOL! STILL QVGA @ 30FPS? The 3yearold W900i had that! Nice one SE! Old specs in a new phone. The only "new" thing in this "Camer phone" is the 8MP Camera unit, the rest are specs we have seen in the Nseries many times =D

The best, most feature-rich, complete Sony Ericsson phone so far. The features of this phone is like that of the Nseries. I'm glad SE has already moved on to the VGA 30fps video recording. The main selling point here is the first 8MP camera lens in a phone. Wifi b/g, HSDPA, GPS, Tv-out are very nice features in a non-smartphone. Beware Nokia Corporation. C905 could be the Nseries killer.

I'm with you!
QVGA SUCKS...
... Nokia N96 with xenon Flash will gona be my choice and probable before 6 months when C905 come.

Anonymous, 19 Jun 2008This is phone is absolutely amazing!!! But why SE only put 256k colours instead of 16m?? The human eye can only distinguish 256k colours, to increase it is only a marketing device.

To misquote the Simpsons, "Id like 2 pieces of card in canary, 4 in sunshine, 3 in gold and 6 in lemon"

"OK, that'll be 15 yellow"

Lol.

Anonymous, 18 Jun 2008to viperkid Granting that this phone video capability is only at QVGA @30fps...the question... morenope, i completely don't hav a problem wd dat. in fact i feel sorry for u all avid SE fans.

apparently, d problem lies wd big time hard core SE fanatics claiming dat C905 records VGA 30 fps videos even in reality it can't and try to mislead people around.

"it is vga video not qvga video they listed it wrong mate"

dat's juz one example how a SE follower post wdout providing any links to prove C905 can do such.. n even say GSMarena has only made a mistake only blah blah

m sorry buddy, but fact is fact, u cannot change it. u rather live with it

Sony Ericsson C905 = is a high end and an ultra mega 8mp Cyber-shot cameraphone dat can only record QVGA (30 fps) videos

http://developer.sonyericsson.com/site/global/docstools/phonespecs/p_phonespecs.jsp

though i must say, great work on incorporating both xenon n LED plus wifi sony ericsson

constructive criticism - you got a problem with that?!

Whats the greed with large LCDs, this phone has already has the 2.4 one reaching the edges, it couldnt accomodate a bigger one. Even good snapshot cameras come with a 2.5 inch viewfinder, so i dont know why expect so much from a phone, its already breaking new grounds by having 8MP!!!!!!And its quality of constructio(as usual) will be milestones ahead of the competition:)
