No optical zoom. How is it that after reading the specs there are still people who ask whether there's optical zoom.
Wow! This is a great phone! I love it! haha!
I just have afew inquiries:
1. Can this phone accomodate 8GB memory card?
2. Is there an optical zoom for the camera?
Thanks a lot! This phone is like a dream come true.. sophisticated look plus awesome camera.. Nice SE!
Young@heart, 17 Jun 2008Thinking of replacing my current W850i but then can anyone tell what is C,G and F stand for ???try wiki you will know wat every letter of sc stands for.
This phone looks as if it would blow the Nokia N95 out of the water without even trying. Nokia have no chance. Sony Ericsson are the best.
just 256k colors and 8 Megapixel Camera
How anyone will enjoy the image on just 256 k colors.
Not Bad, But Not Exellent as Nokia.
Nokia N96 Can easily beat This.
viperkid, 18 Jun 2008im sorry to disappoint u n other fellas (like eternal_wind, paker) who believe dat C905 can do... morefortunately for me, I'm not a Video-holic ^^
But who knows if they make a revision and upgrade her to VGA. Just like they upgraded Xperia.
8 megapixel... tad's wow... a true blue digicam replacement?? but then again. still no all in one solution (somewhat like the n96). wi-fi and mobile tv missin? haha. perhaps this is meant to be the n96 direct competitor
Anonymous, 17 Jun 2008amm... give link. i've heard that it has VGA 30fps from people who has this phone!!im sorry to disappoint u n other fellas (like eternal_wind, paker) who believe dat C905 can do such, but Sony Ericsson C905 is not capable of recording VGA resolution videos @ 30fps
(and click C905 white paper, den go to pages 7 & 42)
dat link s a more solid proof (than wat d community at esato r saying) straight from d official sony ericsson developer website
hence, people should refrain from claiming dat C905 can record VGA 30 fps videos bcoz in reality, it's not in SE C905's vocubalary. besides, SE would've highlighted these feature in their press release f it s really capable, unfortunately - Sony Ericsson didn't, reason...
Sony Ericsson C905 only supports QVGA (320 x 240) size video recording @ 30fps
i know dat white papers wil b published in several revisions, n additional info n facts wil be coming in those revisions. but based on my experience n as far as wat i know, Sony Ericsson never (yet) upgraded d video capture resolution of their current devices from wat dey initially publish on white papers
its not an imitation of a N95 >_> god clearly its way better than it i say...GJ SE
ammmm be cautious about how you interpret the 8mp camera- a higher pixelage does not necessarily translate into higher quality as at higher pixels, screen resolution, size and processing ll have a significant impact on the pic quality.
anyways, good work se- working towards the goal of having cellphones as powerful as current computers in 3-5 years
Nice Job sony an 8 mp . .. i think we should crown this one and leaf it at that . .. . nokia .. . it's time for u guys to step up to the plate .. . . the n96 is a sure disappoint ment, same ol n95 but with a hard drive . . . . . . come on step up with the features
4r1e, 18 Jun 2008SE... why only QVGA?? It's a VGA or WVGA era....what do you mean why only QVGA? its still decent...then why isn't N96 more than QVGA? its big 2.8" screen makes it look like crap quality!
design sucks and d display is too small..8MP in a 2.4" screen?
and why cant SE get rid of that STUPID POP-PORT connector?it ruins the design of the phone..it's time for 3.5mm jack & micro-USB socket!!!!
that proprietary connector which SE has been using for almost 10yrs should be abolished!!!!time for standard sockets!wake-up SE!!!!!!!
Fadi, an imitation of N95? WHAT? 8MP dude, and streets ahead in the attractive stakes. N95 is just vomit. Sony-Ericsson is creature amazing, and this phone is the best thing ever made by man.
When you say it is a copy of the N95/N96, think again. Is it symbian? Does the auto rotate works when taking pictures (well, mine does not). Does it have xenon flash or a 8MP camera? But when the G800 by Samsung was out, the pictures made the phone look small but it isn't. Is this going to be that big?
