i have this phone since April this year, and ive had software problems twice already. Ive had to send in in for repairs twice already. My sister has the same phone and she also had software problems!!!!
and my GPS does not work!!!!
This phone is the best after sliced Bread.. Its purely worth every penny
Overall the phone is great - awesome camera and quality of pictures. However, there are a few boo-boos - no video call camera for the 3G and I've recently had problems with the earphones and sound and the slide cable under the screen has now broken. Not impressed for what I paid for the phone.
Earpiece phone problem. Stop working suddenly. Seems to be a comment manufacturing problem from Sonyericsson. BECAREFUL!!!!!

Bluetooth works great-good range, good clarity(5)

If you listen to a lot of loud music on your phone this is not the phone for you. Unless you invest in some expensive earbuds. The quality is good but not loud enough(3)
If you want to navigate a lot the built in wayfinder is pretty basic so you could upgrade to att navigator(4).
The phone has been excellent but we wanted a good camera and good call quality. The free nav application is a plus because it searches the internet so you can find almost aanything. We love being able to access the pictures/music on our hdtv.
Anonymous, 24 Jul 2009Also, this phone is pretty cheap in the US, $180 with contract and rebates.Cheaper yet on Amazon: $49 with a new contract, $124 for upgrade.
You can also "debrand" the firmware in the phone to re-enable WiFi and WayFinder, plus accept standard (signed/unsigned) J2ME apps.
speaker & earpiece problem...!!!
still under warranty...will send back this phone to seller for repair...

The network limitations put on handsets as powerful as these is just disappointing. I ordered the international unlocked version (I'm on T-Mobile so I can't use the 3G) of the handset from an ebay seller who ships them directly from the factory in China with full warranty. Good price, $360 with shipping. Just search the handset on ebay and you should find it.
I'll be able to tell you guys if the unlocked handset fares better than the reports I've been getting from this board about carrier specific versions of the C905.
See guys i was about to buy this cellphone but going through a lot of opnions i saw alm ost every 2 or 3 person has a earphone speaker problem should i go for this cellphone or not urgent replies required so that i should purchase it or not

HAHA!!! Cheapskate se no front cam for video call. Have to use main cam...come on se this is 2009 for god's sake...what a joke!!!
I went by the AT&T store and took a look at the phone. It has a nice solid feel to it, the slide is smooth and made one little creaking noise as I twisted it. The plastic is good quality, and the overall size of the phone was actually smaller than I thought it would be. Here's the problems though, the keypad felt like it was made out of a thin, hard plastic. It felt like it would crack if I pressed it too hard or used it too much. The screen had an orange color to it, so I asked a sales rep. if it was supposed to be that way, it turns out the phone had locked up. Too bad, I really like this phone, I was hoping the bugs would have been worked out already, since I was looking at the new US model, the C905a.
Damn suk tis phone.speaker problem n need to repair rm180,only riben.i feel disadpointed when i got it.nokia n70 better than that.
Anonymous, 24 Jul 2009Does anybody buy into the idea that carrier specific versions of any phone are more buggy/faul... moreAT&T carries this phone in the US. Guess what they did? They locked out wifi AND locked out 3rd party apps. If you want to use GPS you are forced to pay extra to use AT&T's GPS service.
If you want this phone in the US, unlocked would be best.
i'm looking 4ward to have this c905, but all the -ve comments make me somehow losing hopes 4 this fon, but i still wanted to hv it coz i think it's the most suitable 4 me..
i fancy se.. is there any appropriate choice rather than this one, or shud i continue to buy this one?

Anonymous, 24 Jul 2009Does anybody buy into the idea that carrier specific versions of any phone are more buggy/faul... moreyour best off getting an unbranded plus version one.
ps this phone rules!! i think the still images are better than the ones produced by the i8510, even if gsm arena think otherwise
Does anybody buy into the idea that carrier specific versions of any phone are more buggy/faulty than unlocked ones? I hear alot of people complain because they got their phone through a Euro carrier. As is usually the case here in the states, carrier specific models have a lot more trouble than unlocked phones. Any thoughts?
