S, 07 Jul 2009I am looking to get a good and affordable camera phone. The Sony Ericsson (C range) seemed in... moreCamera technology not just depend on optics, it depends on the Sensor and the mega pixels too. Apart from these stuff there is a powerful algorithm running at the backend for cybershot phones which is from Sony. The camera quality of Sony Ericsson is much better than anyone else in the market whether they use Carl zeiss or not. Carl zeiss name sounds very high profile, but that doesn't means that if the phone has that its going to be very good. ofcourse if its there its good.
Go for Cybershot phones N series can never beat Cybershot in camera quality.
Anonymous, 07 Jul 2009judging from these negative comments, i presume nothing has changed since i last bought an SE ... moredo not judge from comments, Sony Ericsson is never going down hill, cell phone market is very volatile and there is very tight competition, Sony ericsson is great and they are bringing greatest phones ever for you to rejoice.
judging from these negative comments, i presume nothing has changed since i last bought an SE product
i think se made good phones until and including the p990, afterwards se has just been going downhill.
nice phone! dun buy ap set, sure got mnay problem. buy ori, not problem at all. super nice phone
a lab attendant at school got it. i used it for about 5 minutes and it seemed to be much slower than my own K610i. seem that i understood that old is gold.
I am looking to get a good and affordable camera phone. The Sony Ericsson (C range) seemed invitingly, but then realized their phones don’t have Carl Zeiss lenses (only their digi cams). So I turned to the Nokia N series. The N79 seems affordable enough, but there is some talk that the camera on it isn’t good. Would you rather suggest the Cybershot SonyE phones above the Nokia N series (Carl Zeiss lens system)?
All the SE talk on phones hanging tend me to rather go for Nokia.
SE C-series battery life seems very good, that would tip the scale to SE.
Please help.
Thanx!
i wanna buy this phone. But after i heard all of u give bad comment this phone, now i feel so confuse... Izit this phone really that bad!!! Worth i buy it o not? Who can give me a real answer???
Horrible Phone. Good camera. Sent back to service centre 3 times due to faulty earpiece.
LOVE this phone!! Had it for 3 months now as upgrade from LG Sectret and had no problems whatsoever. Battery life is fine. No problems with aforementioned 'hanging'. Fantastic photo quality.
My handset is the 'plus' version.
Much prefer it overall to the LG I had.
This phone is no good at all, just bought it for one week, now its totally hang ,screen blank,no power on or off.poor QC.
Will you all ever stop with all the flippen moaning and groning about the c905. I dont know what the hell you are doing with your phones but mine is the best ever phone I have ever had and I am one fussy flitch when it comes to phones.
Its a fab phone true quality all the way.

Far'rukh, 02 Jul 2009this phone is awesome
em gonna buy it for sure :)
but what does that means, 9hours (2G) an... more2G means 2nd Generation that is mainly GSM+GPRS+EDGE and 3G means WCDMA(UMTS)+HSDPA+HSUPA, These generations are always used w.r.t. the data rates that the technology can achieve and to achieve the data rates there are modulation schemes for the voice/data communication.
High speed or high data rates corresponds to higher modulation schemes that puts more demands on power amplifiers causing draining of battery power.
60% of battery life is used up because of the Power amplifiers and the way the hardware is designed and the software algorithms are written to keep the usage of battery power efficient.
WCDMA is inherently flawed technology w.r.t. battery life and thats why you will always see 40% less battery life in 3G (WCDMA( than 2G (GSM).
I can give you detailed explanation that would translate into a book and is out of the scope here.
Too bad, I would love to get one but with all the negative comments / complaints about this handset, it seemed like its not worth to get one anymore.
Oh well..
lovely phone, crap crap quality control from SE i hope they get their act together with the Satio - come on SE sort it out, or i'm not coming back
this phone is awesome
em gonna buy it for sure :)
but what does that means, 9hours (2G) and 5 hours (3G)
what is 2G and 3G
i think it is used for internet but how can you calculate it in talking time ?
Last week my 5th C905 went broke (again). The grey plastic side of the camera let loose just out of nothing. While my phone was 1 1/2 month old. I've had this problem before as well so it's not normal. The camera is great, so are the SE functions and connectivity's, but I've abandoned them for now. 3 reparations and 5 swaps later I've switched to a G1 that really is a joy to use. Too bad it doesn't have the camera of this phone. Well I might try the Idou/Satio again :)
