this phone is better than iphone 3g and inov8...i have them both before but nw i have this c905 and its amazing!8.1mp.
the iphone 3g only good for many application thats it only 2mp.if you want a 2mp phone buy a nokia cheap price...innov8 8mp not good...

I tried "1214-7311" but still cant... moreSE lovers, again for the sms conversation: like you are changing the CDA with a customize_update.xml you can enable the SMS chat. Search the web for a gsm forum (don't know if I can say that name here) where they put in a link for an editted customize_update.xml that enables the SMS chat function. Put that in your system file with A2uploader and start to phone to enable the function. After enabled you can still choose to use the old inbox overview, and switch to the chat whenever you like =)

skot, 07 Apr 2009does it really have a scratch proof screen???????One good thing about the used materials: I've got no sratch at all on my phone (not even the screen) while I use it quite often and sometimes it's lying next to a box of gum or even keys in my pocket.

SE lovers, 10 Apr 2009Guys, new update version is available which includes the sms conversation.. I just tried.. How... moreSE lovers are you talking about a new firmware update after the one with Smile detection etc? I first didn't have the SMS conversation with that update but thanks to a nice programme called A2uploader (google for it!) and some forum somewhere I've enabled the conversation style. And it's so handy, like the iPhone sms menu but then better.
Some other thing.. once again I've had problems with the build quality of the phone: the left corner of the plastic side piece under the camera cover lost it's glue connection with the phone. I had to pull it off completely as the little grey plastic piece was getting more loose with every time I've pulled the phone out of my pocket.
And my MP4 movies aren't playing as smooth as before since the last update. I can't watch the converted Divx files on my phone anymore, they are lagging too much and that sucks. I blame the added youtube player in the video menu for it but am not sure. Reinstalling the software doesn't work and my 8GB card has never been so empty.

Guys, new update version is available which includes the sms conversation.. I just tried.. However the software states that it's Hong Kong version & this part Im not sure what is the impact in your own region.
Well, I still can switch to English but I'm still checking on what are the impacts by using different region version..
Maybe it doesnt affect anything...Any comment??

i recomend you DONT by this c905 i no a few people that this has happened to

Anonymous, 09 Apr 2009Yes, good question..how can u tell the notorious first bad batch fron supposed better batches pls?WW45 or WW46 and above(WW = work week) batches of phone were, as they say... the hardware bug has been fixed (ie. slider scratches the key pads, speaker issue.) How to check the batch of the phone you'll buy? at the battery compartment, when you removedthe battery... you can see the batch the phone was made.... either WW46.5 (Work Week 46, friday not sure ^_^ ) mine is WW46.5 as i remember

actually i suppose the latest plus version with 8gb memory card would be the safest to buy, as hopefully SE would have fixed the speaker faults by now in recent production phones??

this phone is too heavy? i own both c902 and c905. the 905 is larger and yet lighter than the 902...maybe your thinking of another phone
