Its just sucks.exactly after one year the phone is dead with service centers returning the phone is not repairble.

Hey guys. Thanks for solved my cedar sound problem. Now I get enough good sound. Just anyone should pick the black cover of cedar sound speaker.

just open the back cover
of the cedar phone. see,
there will be a greenish
cover over the speaker....
just remove that... that
greenish over it actualy
reduces its vol...

there are a lot of advantages in modding buddy.
like you can enable VGA recording,
install new camera drivers,
ofcourse new audio drivers for sound or bass or claeirye or all.
change softkeys; ie change media and search into camera and walkman.
install flash menus,
remove the operator logo
increase audio clarity,
the full potential of our cedar can be revealed only after modding.

see, there will be a greenish cover over the speaker....
just remove that...
that greenish over it actualy reduces its volume around 70-80%....
just check.. its a true.... njoy :P

This is probably the BEST non-smartphone ever to have been manufactured. I have actually returned to use it instead of my Galaxy S2. The J108i has everything you can ask for in a phone (USB, RSS, google maps for navigaion, 3G, 3,5mm out, track ID, voice recorder, timer and other very useful gadgets that aren't always standard) but what makes this phone stand out from the rest is that it is extremely user friendly. The shortcuts and functions are always in the right spot and the right time making usage very easy and reliable. It seems as if the phone and the OS has gone through rigorous beta- and/or customer testing before being put on the market, something other brands DON'T seem to do at all (I am looking at YOU Nokia!). Battery life is longer than usual also. The numpad design is very comfortable and its smart design makes it hard to unintentionally push the wrong button (which is a very common problem with touchscreen and slim design numpads). Accidental rebooting has never occured for me though I have been using the phone for many years). The OS is stable and has never "frozen" or anything like that.
The only negative thing maybe is the web browser that has not been able to keep up with the development of mobile surfing but it is a small price to pay, especially if you have a pad or tablet with you anyway. Also, the processor might lag temporarily sometimes if may things happen at once (incoming message while listening to music and browsing the web) but I guess that is acceptable for a phone this size.
If you are getting SICK of the smartphone hype, for one reason or another, but you don't really feel like going Doro straight away, the J108i is the perfect middle road.
My advice is to buy a couple of them if you can find because they are out of production and retail- you won't regret it. This is THE best non-smartphone ever made.

Modding or changing drivers of your cedar.
Visit se-nse forum or search the opinions for
'acoustic', .
Download far manager, gordons gate usb
driver, acoustic driver- yendo's farfield (to
start with) and camera driver to begin.

Install gordon's gate usb driver in your pc.
Extract farmanager.
Install, Run the file
A blue coloured window is opened.
Press alt+f1
A new bar pops-up
Select SEFP2
And click 'connect'
Turn off your phone and plug to pc holding the
'c' key in phone.
Wait like that till phone information and a new
message pops-up,
press ok.
You are now in the system files of your phone.
Left side of far manager is phone files and
right side is your pc.
Drag and drop the acoustic files from your pc
namely
.wbxml files into
ifs-> settings-> acoustics
In the left side.
And .csv files (if any) into tpa>- preset>-
acoustic
Camera driver into
Ifs>- settings>- camera
Customize_upgrade.xml and .itm files (mainly
softkey and fonts, custom options files, 2 b
dwnloded from se-nse or other similar sites)
into
Tpa-> preset-> custom
After copying, press f10
Unplug the phone and ,re- insert battery
(optional) ,
turn-on the phone.
tada!!!
For acoustics, softkeys, modds, visit se-nse
forum db3350.
Brave to Do it once and u would be able to
help others, its so simple next time.

I saw many people complaining about low volume. This is one beast of a phone and let me tell you you are missing a major portion by keeping your phone stock and without modifying.
YOU CAN INCREASE RING VOLUME AND MUSIC VOLUME OF CEDAR VERY EASILY BY REPLACING COUPLE FILES USING FAR MANAGER SOFTWARE..
it can be done by simple software MODDINGS, explained Many times in this forum,
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED in INCREASING CEDAR'S VOLUME.
JUST TYPE "ACOUSTICS" IN THE SEARCH BAR AND SEARCH, OR google "db3350 se-nse.com" OR change this opinions page to show most rated comments first

99.99% java apps & games is supported by it. Looks very stylish. But no flash lite camera just like k750i & one sim. Other wise everything is very good. Camera is great in day light.
All nfs is great to play & awesome.
Internet is great.
I found internet once software instal then just plug & play. Sound is great in earphone & woofer.

I think the best java of the sony is cedar.
& the best android phone of the sony is xperia z.
Just difference is processor & ram.

I m using it for over 2 years. It is a value for money phone. The only problem is with the sound. You can also directly connect it to your pc/laptop without any software and browse internet. It works better than a dongle. You can switch modes from 2G to 3G and vice versa. Also it supports any java application. Believe me you'll not regret after having this.

I have been using this phone for the past 14months. Infact, all what I can say is that this mobile is fantastic. The performance, the features especially the browsing feature of this phone is awesome. The only problem I am having is that I cant find the case of this mobile. Ratings- 15/10
