AnonD-25976, 23 Oct 2011if we see the description of cedar in the sony ericsson's website we will know that this phone... moreActually many SE phone have usb charging but i think it didnt mean it specially create to be a modem because if u do that it will reduce your battery life,and if u plug ur phone in a laptop and the laptop is in battery mode,ur battery power will be spread in the laptop and it didnt charge it but reduce it,i think se mean the phone for internet use only is because for the hsdpa ability not the capability of phone to be a modem

Patch its for add some function that didnt available in phone as default,i mean you can port that patch is same with convert the patch from other phone to cedar so we can use it to cedar well,u can check ur firmware region by click on your phone: right star left left star left star,and here the patch for manage your cedar brightness to 10 percent,its from mobilefree.ru

AnonD-19086, 23 Oct 2011in my opinion and my suggest u dont use a phone that didnt create for modem useable oftenly or... moreif we see the description of cedar in the sony ericsson's website we will know that this phone is actually made mainly for internet use only. so we can say that this phone is ment to be used as modem often. also it supports usb charging. that means it is also ment to be connected with pc/laptop often. what do you think ?

AnonD-27323, 23 Oct 2011anyone can tell how to decrease the brightness below 50% in cedar. is there any mod file.pls h... moreyou need patch decrease brightness level from 50 to 10 prcent,if you use generic firmware,i think there is a patch for that in mobilefree.ru,u must take a look in there,or if ur firmware apac,you must port the patch from generic to apac if the patch available for generic firmware of cedar,but if its not available you must port the patch from other SE phone like naite,zylo,w995 etc

Guys I wanted to mod my phone so I download all the tools from trivial strife link but farmanager isn't working properly it detects the device and after that it freezes... I really want to put some sound drivers for earphones... What do I do?

Do I have the right to be worried?
@KU: dude, sorry, I never tried using cedar connected to a pc for a long hours. I only connect my cedar if I am going to modify it. And also I am avoiding my cedar to get hot/warm.

Is it fine for the phone to get warm ... moreIt's ok, browsing internet makes the cpu working @ its max freq, and that also increased the cpu temperature. Meanwhile the battery is forced to supply more power to the cpu, so its capacity drains significantly, in other words battery voltage is shortly decreased, and the result is the battery will getting warm.
...well, this is just my opinion, so dont take it too hard. :)

@prem @tbdm @wreck @prakash and anyone who have used 3g. Is it fine for the phone to get warm while browsing internet via 3g through data cable with pc ?
It might be because the phone charges also at same time but then what about battery life. Its said that its not good to let the battery stay hot for too long.

@YB: I think my battery is still okay, using my cedar for browsing(mostly downloading mp3s),gaming and playing music straight for 12hours is pretty okay. Don't you think?
