We cant confirm much details of the phone, since the only leaks about the phone are its half body images and the leaked price list of upcoming sony phones until september which includes their codenames, showroom prices and their launch months. The latter of which have been true so far,

anyway its u r choice buddy, i'm damn sure the tapioca will be worth waiting for, its the amazing NXT series design like the xperia S,U,P and i'm not in any hurry to replace my cedar, so definitely i am waiting for it...

Xperia X8 does not support flash.Its based on ARM V6 processor.armv6 dnt support flash.see xperia x8 specification or whitepaper carefully.arm v7 support flash.htc explorer can run flash content smoothly bcoz it has a arm v7 processor inside.
I dnt see any official announcement about sony tapioca. This days some xperia droid face some serious issue. Like xperia mini and xperia ray has overheat problem and touch button problem.read user comment of those model than u can realise that all se droid are not problem free

Take a look at xperia tapioca mates.
I dont care if its low on specs, coz from my experience watching and comparing ma frnds sonye droids and other droids, even with low specs its the sony droids that dazzle. Another wonderful thing is the higher battery backup even with lower mah.

Xperia x8 is indeed outdated.
But it got flash support. No galaxy or htc got it and even with x8's outdated os it can match the performance of galxy y.
Sony's droid os are the best hangfree and crashfree in the whole android line-up.
Thats why I suggest go for tapioca.
By the way, tapioca is the codename for sony's upcoming budget droid, at 10k rs. Its the x8 successor. And its my next phone, :-D
I suggest you go for that buddy. Just google 'sony tapioca'. Its the xperia s design.

It giving best 3g speed which is more than brodband along 400 to 500 kbps nd in n8 times it giving nearly 1mbps but it is incompatable of themes nd it taking virus from the net while downloading any content ,due to that virus dis phn is strucking too much

Too bad that Sony dont have enough resources to develop android devices, that's why they don't have entry models to compete with galaxy y. Like their Xperia 2011 lineup which use the same hardwares - chipset, memory - the price range only differentiated by their camera, physical design, or accessories that supplied in the box. And I think this forum is still alive...

U can go for android OS but at the cost of our beloved CEDAR. < NO > I agree its the time to move to Smartphones. I personally experienced Htc Explorer and galaxy y of my friends. Explorer is better, downloaded hell of applications which ran smoothly. Dont go for galaxy y which cant run all apps. Cedar is better . Looking to buy Huawei Honor or samsung galaxy R . But I will keep my beloved CEDAR at any cost like my YAMAHA RX 135. Some things are cherished Forever.

Smartphone is not just for shooting picture. Smartphone is used for true multitasking,3D gaming, and running powerful application. Java apps are not much powerful enough.u cant open a big PDF or OFFICE DOCUMENT file in a java phone. Wifi,3g,gps,sensor etc feature are available almost all droid smartphone. If u want to buy a symbian smartphone and buy atleast belle powerd nokia.others symbian are way behind from adroids. Android is the leading smartphone os for present and future

But its price is too hight for me.almost 16k in my country. My second choice htc explorer and last choice galaxy y. And i am planning to buy a android smartphone becoz i love to use apps. I dont care much about camera or video recording. My digital camera serves enough for me. And xperia x8 is a good phone but its outdated. Low ram,outdated OS, low processing speed and no flash.

oh how the hell did you decide on selling s.e cedar just to buy samsung galaxy y? I assure you samsung galaxy y suck! It can't even view a 5mp photo taken from s.e elm! Samsung phones are amateur smartphones! I will also buy a new phone which is either nokia c5 or e5 but I will not sell my cedar,I am more interested with symbian os v3 rather than going for cheap samsung droid that are useless. Think about it. Cedar is a treasure,don't sell it. Or atleast wait and search for another cheap droid! Samsung is a junk.

Galaxy y records in qvga at 15fps, whats the difference than cedar other than its a touch-screen droid.
Trust me buddies, my frnds old xperia x8 can outrun all other budget droids in display clarity, toughness, battery backup, vga recordin at 30fps, stunning cam clarity and flash support, can you believe it?
it Dos all the stuff with the lowest ram, lowest mah battery and lowest mhz specifications and the outdated eclar 2.1 version that can only install apps into ph mem.
Yet it still stands out ahead of even the galaxy fit.
Even the 14000 ace, when it comes to video recording.
If its a sony, it simply is the best as it seems.
