earL, 24 Jun 2009all your problems people will be solved if you upgrade your phones' firmware to r1fa037. :D i ... morethen how did you do it?? what do you mean by upgrade?? you completly change the whole firmware by using other program?? or you just update the software in sony ericsson website????
can you also change the cameras video recording to 30fps?? in that upgrade of yours????

all your problems people will be solved if you upgrade your phones' firmware to r1fa037. :D i just did two weeks ago. no more restarts and hangs. now it has video call and the pictures are said to be better. :D

Celine, 22 Jun 2009Even I am facing a Similar issue where the h/s restarts automatically. sometimes the wallpaper... moreyes a have also the same problem,, everytime i set a theme when i turn my phone off then when i turn it on again the default theme will automatically set not the theme that I set everytime i turn my phone off it happens everytime when I turn it on back again, the phone will always use the default theme,, also the screen is easily washed out when youre at direct sunlight making youre messages hard to see,, but over all it is a very good phone, the sounds, and also video recording, it is now recording in QVGA resolution not the low QCIF used by older sony phones you also get mega bass, very excellent value for money over all,, sweet!!

Even I am facing a Similar issue where the h/s restarts automatically. sometimes the wallpaper that i have set from memory card goes off and a default wallpaper comes up on the screen (phone memory).
The Silver line on the key pad is also fading and now my phone looks very old as though i have i have used it for more than a year.

this is a really good phone for its class n economical too. but some features like flash menus, flash themes cannot be set. No front camera for video calling, so 3G gets a back drop, HSDPA works fine. Sound Quality is not so good, very low volume, (infact i was searching for the speakers for about 20 mins n found it hiding behind the camera). Ya my mobile often restarts cant figure out why this happens. It was happening twice 1 week a month back now it restarts twice an hour. the nickel coating on the keys and on the side is fading away making it look worst. I would rate it 2 out of 5.

upgrade software n now can make video call..!!
$130 USD phone + modding, wow.. no other phone can match g502 with this range of price (I dont like second hand).. :P

plz give the server address of push email for g502better u have gmail account to use g502 push email account..
just go to email menu at g502, go to account, new account, and then, just enter your name n your gmail address, then g502 will automatically configure your email account..
so simple with g502.. :)

earL, 17 Jun 2009if your definition of 'crap' is 'very good', then yeah, g502 is indeed a crappy phone. :DGo earL! :-) Sad to tell you, i've already sold my g502. I'm buying c510 tomorrow. Hope i made the right decision. I'll be posting my modded now_playing and other xmls, screenshots, all moddings i did later at se-nse (i saved copies). You can try it.
