Remember I asked quite a while back now how to get the 'remote control' menu without having to uninstall/reinstall the phone all the time?
I just found the menu in 'entertainment' - not an area I've bothered looking at before. And there was me going through every configuartion/settings menu. Just thought I'd mention it for any people who like me were looking for the remote control menu.

thanks to adikbiroe, i was able to upgrade my phone's firmware to r1fa037, install cool flash menus, and change its acoustics. really cool!

Anonymous, 11 Jun 2009is der any way to avoid date and time reset when battery is removed?just turn the auto time update on the settings menu ON. so you don't have to set the time every time you turn on/off your phone. :D

please helpyou can either use a USB data cable (which i think is not included in the package) or you can use a bluetooth device that will connect your phone and PC.
but the first one will be easier of course. :D

I think that the internal memory(32mb)should be kept totally free.it has dynamic memory and takes memory from the internal memory when needed.i have consumed the whole internal memory of many phones and they all seemed to lag and hang after that.just keep the internal memory free and there will be no hangs.

weee! finally i was able to install working flash menus! really cool!
but i have other problems.
1. what software do you use to upgrade the firmware? is it still a2 uploader?
2. what about the acoustics that you pros have been talking about? i mean the thing that you say that you have made the volume of the phone much louder. how do you do that? i wanna try that too.

Get a M2 card and save stuff to that and keep a good amount of its 32mb of internal memory free and it doesn't hang - fortunately mine came with the latest firmware already installed so haven't had to flash it. Just had to move stuff from memory to the M2 card.

Yes you can transfer MP3s from PC to phone. The phone onl has 32mb of memory so I suggest you buy an M2 card. I put 802 MP3s on my 4GB M2 card. You can transfer either by usb cable (which you purchase seperately) or via bluetooth. Ive used both and USB cale is faster. You can d/l the Sony-e pc suite but personally I dont like using it and you dont need it if your version of Windows is late enough. My laptop uses Vista and can transfer files without the PC suite. You will have to pair the PC and phone as normal with bluetooth devices if using bluetooth for the transfer.

earL, 09 Jun 2009oh, so i can't use xs++ for upgrading or flashing my phone? oh no. >.Including a2uploader in the exceptions of AVG doesn't work. I've tried it. Turning off AVG doesn't work either. Only way is to uninstall AVG. (Before you do that and if you're using Windows Vista, create a restore point just to be safe.) Then install any antivirus of your choice. You can re-install AVG if you don't want to use a2uploader in the future.
