I have this phone for 2weeks and its great phone.........!and i dont have problems with touchscreen or sound........

hi darkside n everybody those who have used these phones or r using now......is this a strong and good phone to buy. I want a phone from Sony Ericsson with a bigger screen preferable a 2.2inches or more larger display.that should last me atleast abt 2 years. does this phone meet my criteria?
i am very much excited to buy this phone but reviews from darkside n other users r making me rethink my decision. Please help me.

worst phone ever, 3 times in a month went to service.Problem with touch screen, then problem with SIM recognize, then problem with sounds.Don't trust sony ericsson.

Its a terrible phone, used for less than a week and traded it for a Nokia N82.

I want a solid answer for Rapu's query that the phone doesn't start. I have read many such reviews regarding such queries where phone won't start, phone is totally dead, or one needs to take out the battery in order to restart. Why such incidents happen? Is it the wrong handling of the phone. Because I have also heard a lot about Nokia 3220 Symbian phone that it restarts quite often......but my phone is almost 3 years now and only 1 restart because more than 10 applications were open. Please everybody answer my question specially real users and not Sony Ericsson hater.

My officemate actually had this phone a few days ago.. Just this morning I noticed that she was using a different phone.. I asked her why?.. She said.. " The phone just hanged and cannot be turned off unless you remove the battery from the phone. It's been like this since I bought the fone and now the phone doesn't turn on anymore and I have to bring it back to an authorized Service center of SE.." Hmm..

For example: when you run CAMERA, and then press BACK BUTTON you are minimized CAMERA PROGRAM, or in same way NOTES, or MESSAGES. But some programs have option SYSTEM EXIT and then they will really close. For me it isn't matter is the program minimized or closed, but if the program is minimized than you can more quickly start that program from the TASK MANAGER.

Qwerty there is no minimize option in the task manager and system exit..?..?

Congratulations DARKSTORM1, the application is going to be minimized when you exit it (without pressing SYSTEM EXIT), look in TASK MANAGER, and you'll understand this (when and why).
Manatee i hadn't such problem. But you should try to study Sony Ericsson support page. http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/marketingurlportal?pageid=key.SupportZone.Overview
Follow instruction, and in the first step your phone must be turn off. You need USB cable. I heard that the old SIM card may cause some problems on the new mobiles (blocked, restart). And install PCSuite for Sony Ericsson (you get that software on CD, or you can download newer version from SE site). But you have first to be registered.

Thanks querty, the SIM works fine in another phone. I can't install new software as the phone won't turn on. It won't even charge.

Manatee - try to install new software for G700 from Sony Ericsson web page, or maybe it is problem in SIM card(?)
mina - the font is adjustable (small, medium or large letters), my phone is full charge for 1 h, and battery can take for 5 days, when you recording movie, the picture on the phone screen is very clear, but when you watch the movie in Quick Time on th PC, picture isn't so clear
Zainalu - yes, you can answer or reject call directly from keypad, even you can received incoming calls just from your CONTACTS FROM ADDRESS-BOOK

Can we answer or reject calls from the keypad buttons or any button as I've heard that every function on g700 is accessible via keys or pads except the answering calls function.is it true? Please anyone...
