No company will tell you in any way that their product is a flop, "and there are plans to redeem this with a replacement phone", who are you kidding?"
- of course, what company would outright say that? if you read his first post, it was his friend who works in SE who said it. working for a major tech brand myself, i know companies do indeed do this. Now, the reliability of this 2nd hand info is no more concrete, but disqualifying it simply because you think "he just says so" is just as unqualified.
I wish they add GPS feature on the next G900 series to compete with nokia's Nseries.. will that ever happen? oh well, might just get a Nokia when that time of need comes.
Marius, 07 Sep 2008G900 vs P1? who is the best?g900 is better because of new OS, new user interface, better design better touchscreen and many more

The G900 is being regarded as a flop (unsurprisingly) and there are plans to redeem this with a replacement phone (same dimensions with NEW camera module... FASTER processor... possibly metallic surfaces)

No company will tell you in any way that their product is a flop, "and there are plans to redeem this with a replacement phone", who are you kidding? There ain't no redeeming and there ain't no replacing, SE will most likely bring a succesor to the G900 like all the other companies do. Enough said.
Hey Does any OF the Sony Ericsson Phone has a A-GPS built in it?
Has G900 has it?
muj, 05 Sep 2008no it doesn'tThx for your reply. Its kinda sux that it has no auto rotate or motion sensor like all the current se phones as there are lots of cool motion based games out there. Now i have to think about whether to buy this or not.

I even sent SE an email out of total frustration for lack of innovation, that even SE fans are getting tired of it. I *hope* they really respond to the masses with what you said. a sleeker, improved g900 does sound close to perfect. and yeah, i believe the false performance video did cause much of its downfall. great news man, i'll be holding my breath:)
is this phone has face detection like C902?
when it comes to aussie market?

October is going to be an interesting month for mobile phones all round, at least that's what I've been told...
But it seems to make sense:
Nokia have their tube, n85, n96
LG have got the KC 910 (me likes)
Samsung are going for the innov8 and wi-fi tocco (Sketchy details on that one though..)
SE have some new touchscreens that are meant to be aim at the same market as the failed G-series were intended for.
The astonishing thing is that the company had really thought the G-series was going to be massive, a sort of Razr popularity for all those iphone-dislikers, what with wi-fi, touchscreen and 5mp.
The thing that really did it for me was the fake advertising: my g900 didnt swipe photos, not did it have the responsiveness that the demos showed..that's not even legal i believe...
