i have a black one!really nice.great pictures.super sound.very good battery.size is perfect.but i think the touch screen could be more sensitive, browsing speed(even with wifi)schould be faster.i had a k800 before and that was much easier too work with.but i am still learning too operate this phone.i hate that it doesn't have a accelerometer so you have too change settings for stand or lying screen.next thing is trying a hge-100 gps device on my g900.i love my se.once you had one you can't live without it.
i have a black one???serious.very nice design.built in loudspeaker plays very loud and still clear.pictures are ok.battery is very good.os is a bit difficult.browsing speed sucks in compare with iphone, even with wifi.i have it for 2 day's now and it jammed 3 times for no reason.i need some more time too learn too handle this fone but it's fun.i love it.
I found some people complaint abt signal/reception quality.I am living in a country whose signal coverage is very bad. If not of signal quality, I will definitely buy it. I am currently using Samsung D600 which reception is quite ok with our network. So could someone tell me if G900 reception quality is comparable or lower than D600. Thanks a lot in advance.
Maybe it is time to try the new Sony Ericsson G900 mobile phone. ... you can enjoy using the Opera mobile browser to surf the Internet using ...

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970As one posted here before, you should include SARdines on your everyday meal. And have a piece of jewelry that has SARdonyx as a center piece! LOL!
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970you can buy from www.plemix.com (thats the best choise for americans)
and to a person below who said that the phone is slow, i'd say to him DONT LIE because the phone is very very fast. Updating makes it even better
To say the phone is very slow would be a great exagerration, i've found it to be on a par with the nokia E51, which, when you consider issues such as design, camera, touchscreen capabilities as well as a better overall keypad layout (i'm referring to the E51's awful power button) puts Sony Ericsson's offerring on top. (It is, afterall, just under a year younger than the Nokia)
Perhaps i can put an end to this whole SAR issue: The value of 1.37 is reached when Wi-Fi is activated, much in the same way that the Nokia E51 reaches a value of 1.40 when it's wi-fi is activated. More realistic values place both phones at under a value of 1 when wi-fi is off (afterall, you won't get more than 4 hours with it on in one go)
And make no mistake, this applies for every wi-fi enabled phone in the SE g900/E51 class.
Now, continuously re-posting comments in a very child-like manner on serves to make light of any issues you may be trying to raise, or, in plainer english: looks stupid.
If this is meant to be your job, your making a big mess of it
asked for its rates from sonyericsson world, india
they told official model is coming with 2gb card and for just 20 thousand rs or 500us $ , if converted.
i think it is pretty fine as p1i is for 18000 with 512 mb card.
so calculated ergonomically u get better walkman and new software for nothing extra as that 1.5gb extra memory will be compensated for just some extar money
and to think it is starting price..
they sure want to start a war this time with nokia and samsung's competitive prices..
Processor speed 208MHz = it's mean slow ?
2.4" touchscreen = so tiny for finger touch ?
Lacks 3.5mm audio jack = cannot plug in ur own headset ?
Memory stick micro(M2) = more expensive than microSD/microSDHC/miniSD ?
I'm looking forward in getting this phone. Can anyone tell me if this phone lack? I've purchased another model of the S.E. for not even 2 months, haven't load a single song, not over 50 pics in the device and the phone lacks all the time.
It is already known that the Sony Ericsson's G900 operates on version 9.1 of Symbian OS and UIQ 3.0 and also that it is equipped with the touch screen
nate, 01 Jul 2008yeah, really! cmon GSMarena, you promised us a review weeks ago...my decision will depend on f... morethe camera is poor in 5mp terms...so thats one down, but if you just resize those 5MP shots on your PC they come pretty good.
Speed is a different matter, I feel the system operates fairly well on the phone, the only bother is when you open the messaging application (which takes 5 seconds), however once messaging is in the task manager it is fast. (I just open messaging and leave it there)
I feel i must criticise the photo transitioning, it is slow and extremely annoying, i wish SE develop some way of disabling it so that you can scroll through photos without the bloody animation!
But, its a great phone, really glad i got one.
