Hi,just wanna ask what the processor speed, ram, rom of this G900?
is G900 symbian v9.1,uiq3.0 or?
This Phone just came out on Sat in HK along with the HTC Diamond.
SE G900 is 3780 HKD
HTC Diamond is 5680 HKD
Play around with both phones, but firstly I have never used any smart phone before so my definition of slow is only compared to my K800i.
I am a very typical user of mobile phone so I only just played around with it a little instead of trying all functions.
G900 screen color seems a bit "off" to me. Is very bright and "White" not sure why. I tried changing the Theme "which honestly took Forever", and the colors are still the same not sure if that's the touch screen fault. The touch screen is quiet responsive, but getting around the menu sometimes slows down, but only just a little.
The size is perfect and the keys are great. The camer pictures are nowhere as good comepared to my K800i even at 5 megapixel (this is only based on, onscreen comparison), the touch screen autofocus is FUN. But the whiten screen really annoys me. I was dead set to get this phone till i saw the screen. (Before I got the hands on with the G900 I played with the Diamond with the VGA mon) maybe that's why I was so disappointed with the screen.
God I'm such a novice at writing this. Maybe you guys ask some Qs I'll try to answer.
A few lines for the HTC diamond.
WOW thinner than the G900 at 11mm. the touch and feel of the phone feels very solid. Massive screen and one of the BEST screen I have seen on a Phone. Felt inlove with it. Amazingly the responsivness is quiet good. But i was such a noob I was pressing on the screen and didn't know wat i was doing. But sheer size, brightness, color, feel, design is so good. The stylus pen even has a bit of magnet to it so u don't hav to push it RIGHT in, it gets SUCKED into place.
So trading in my K800 for 800 HKD
Still going to cost me
2980 for the G900
or 4880 for the HTC (Ouch!!)
I think money wise G900 does its job but maybe I'll wait for the C902.
Sorry for the bad spelling typing ....just trying to help you guys!
cti miami is selling this phone for $475 USD, is this the cheapest out there?
all i know is that it is much faster than my friends brick of n95 =D
just got this phone and it rocks...
its visibility in sun is great and touchscreen is also cool too....
flash is not weak as one has complained here.
Anonymous, 01 Jun 2008A friend got the G900 says its damn slow and the camera sucks and the flash is soo weak.Unfortunately, I hear the same: slow performance and lousy camera with weak flash!
I had high hopes, but it seems SE can´t live up to even the minimal expectations - smooth and reliable performance.
SE, this seems like a huge mistake!

am sorry but the G700 doesn't have wifi but you can use it without touching screen you can use it really like normal phone that's great
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970how could we help you? we still don't have neither of the phone that you were comparing.
I do have both SE G900 and Nokia N82 and i voted 10 for each, bcoz both of the phone deserve to be on top, not like the SE G700 which is really not deserving to be next to the top. SE fans like me (i'm also a Nokia fan), dont fool yourself this phone is better than G700 right?
wish some of these sites would hurry up with their reviews for this phone.. im pretty keen to get it but wanna read some proper reviews with the final product. HURRY UPPP
Well well well...if this phone priced properly can be a hotseller and will bring SE right on track...
5mp camera with AutoFocus-Flash, Wifi, Touchscreen, Symbian UIQ......what you need more??...
If its camera driver turns out to be great, then this fone will surely be rocking in every street and will kick the a$$ of Nokia.....
And to all Nokia lovers, Symbian S60 doesn't support Touch Screen so STFU....
Hey some people have said it has a GPS. Is this built in? Its not A-GPS is it? I can't find this on the SE website. Please do help.
gtgteer, 01 Jun 2008it looks like se also turn to symbian just like nokia.nope, SE's symbian is dif'rent from nokia's.
