wayne, 20 Nov 2008hi all..... can anyone help me... pls help.... my SE G900 used to cannot read chinese.. ... moreI can't tell for sure about G900, but mobile phones are produced to be sold in different regions. So the languages and encoding are different in western, eastern europe, africa, asia etc. The information about the region is in the product code, which you can usualy find on the sticker under the battery. I need some time to find the way to see it on phone screen and then i'll post it. If you change the product code, you change the region of the phone. When you update the firmware, the updater reads the product code and automaticaly downloads the firmware of the region your phone is. If you want a quick answer just Google for a G900 product code. Some forums can give you the full guidance. You'll need a program named Nemesis (if i remember it right) to change the product code of the phone. But first find the code of the language group with chinese in it.

win, 19 Nov 2008Hi, can anyone help me..? When using wifi, I juz can't read my mail in hotmail, thou i can sign in... that happens to my wii internet.. if that's even relevant.

But i think it has something to do with the Hotmail program itself.. if i'm correct. I used to be able to access hotmail in their old format.. now that have the Windows Live hotmail format.. i cannot open it at all.. actually.. i currently cannot even access my hotmail through Mozilla!.. it sucks.. not i have to frequently interchange between IE and Mozilla

Everything has it's own reasons. SE has anounced touch screen UIQ-Symbian phone with wifi for affordable price, so more people can have it. Not that more units will be sold but more people will enjoy the smartphone from SE. Or you know cheaper phone with better abilities?

The reason the battery life gets better - before any engineer get a heart attack here - is that most users get a second (first) phone and stop using the G900 as their primary phone.

Remind you that the G900 has the CPU which was outdated in the P1, an old model with complaints of slowness.

SE decision to use this CPU was a fantastic idea. I guess the guy who made it cleaning the toilets at the SE HQ now.

SE stopped making this model for a reason!
1: do not sell

2: buggy

3: slow, old outdated processor

There are some in the stores since nobody buys them.

I must agree with BopZ, before you make the choise to buy anything, make sure you know all the advantages and disadvantages that are usefull for you. This phone is great for (video)calling, keeping yourselve organised and surf the web. This is a strong phone, it already survived multiple drops on the ground from different hights and at different speeds :-) I myselve find the 5mp (non cybershot)camera a little disapointing. When you make pictures inside, you get to much yellow. The fact that the flash doesn't work with the stabilizer doesn't matter, why would you use an image stabilizer when you are far out of reach for the flash's light :-)
I recommend the phone for people with high expectations who want a firm and not to small phone with very little limitations.

KCostas, 16 Nov 2008I can not agree with all the bad comments about G900. Yes, the camera could perform better, bu... morewhen I say it's ok to post the -ve things, that doesn't mean I'll, or anyone in that case, just believe to what they say...

I'm just saying that it's never good to see only one side of things, especially when what u express can effect other people's decisions...

I know I made it sound too big, you can just sell it back anyways, but it doesn't hurt to be more balanced...

I myself have this phone, n I think it is a very good phone, for me...
again, just to be frank, 'I THINK' the battery life is a bit poor, as after a day of mediocre use I need to recharge it...

I don't know about those who can use it heavily and only need to charge the battery after 2 days...
did you guys just recently bought them?

JOSEPH, it has no GPS...
the blinking screen, I got no experience on it but it seems to be an error in the backlighting or something...
if you want to fix it just bring it to the SE guys for repair...

C'mon guys, the battery isn't that bad. I've listened for 10hrs straight and talked for 2hrs during my study. I've only charged in the next 2 days. And once again, I've mentionned almost in every posts..don't expect too much of the camera, you are buying a cellphone not a camera. If you need better quality, go buy a camera instead. 3.15mp or 5mp is enough for a phone guys!
