Hi guys, just got my G900 today, I have a little hard time on using this phone, since this is my first sony ericsson smart phone, but not bad, I like it. Anyways, i have a very big question, I do owned several SE phones before like w800, k800 etc. And the picture quality of mentioned models are really good. But I noticed the camera of G900 are not as good as those with k800 or any other SE camera phones. It is normal of a SE smart phone? Or my G900 has a problem? Pls advice me. Thanks!!!

johndru, 01 Nov 2008not really... G900 uses ARM9 to increase battery life. N96 also uses this cpu.. look at n82.it... moreas far as C905:
I do not need a 8Mp camera in my phone. A decent 5mp is more than enough.
While for me a 20mmm thickness and with that having a lousy keypad is total turn off.
Another problem with the C905 is the battery! 930mAh!
So, this is a big huge brick with relatively small screen and lousy keypad. (No touch screen!)
I prefer a decent smart phone than this thick camera.
For 2009 , I think most people need a good smart phone with a decent camera.
The G900 with its 200MHz CPU is a joke!
(not mentioning the bugs!)

anyway, SE haven't made a decent phone lately. however, as per the gsmarena review of c905, it seems that SE learned their lesson well.
cheers to c905! :)
Yes, G900 has some software problems but SE denied it for too long - the unit should have been recalled!
And the CPU is totally out dated!
but what we can expect fro ma company who gan not make its best (???9 phone X1 (made by HTC) and the lousy ones by Sagem!!!!
No wonder that SE looses money every quarter.
Anonymous, 31 Oct 2008C902 or G900? Please please help. Keeping in mind, the overall performance of the phone. it depends really
if you want a camera phone, go for c902
anything else g900, hehe
g900 got some software prob, everyone knows that
it also has a weak battery span, only about one and a half day after a full charge
c902 don't have those problems
there is nothing much 2 say
just go to any sony ericsson store or any other selling SE phones where u can try the phones, and judge the phones urself

C902 or G900? Please please help. Keeping in mind, the overall performance of the phone.
it is not advisable to buy this phone since SE ANNOUNCED it will DROP symbian UIQ on their new handset..moto as well announced this one. there will be NO MORE NEW APPLICATIONS to be made on this platform.
R.I.P. symbian UIQ3 platform.

"I have read somewhere that it is possible to answer or reject incoming call ONLY through touch screen and not from keypad...
Is it true?"
I have read somewhere that it is possible to answer or reject incoming call through touch screen...
Is it true?
So can't we answer incoming calls with keypad buttons(or DPad)?
NIK, there is predictive text, but only if u type normally.
u can use handwriting recog if u want to, there is also on screen keyboard, but the kyeboard is useless without the stylus, simply too small...
ELY, I used to be a W810i user b4 this phone, n I LOVED that phone, I still do, but my friend droped a soccer ball on it, when I was holding it, fell from 1 meter with the ball on top of it, destroyed the screen...
no warranty left then, so I bought this phone.
I can't really compare the two.
one use java, one symbian.
one is touchscreen with normal keypad, the other a normal candybar phone.
function wise, of course G900 is a lot more advanced with 3G and wi-fi, the cam is also obviously diffrnt, 2MP-5MP.
they are basically different in many ways.
what I am sure is that G900 loudspeaker is much louder than w810's.
I believe if u dont need to change phone, u don't really need to.
w810 is a really 'fun' phone to have, but if u wanna mix 'fun' with more 'work', then G900 is a good choice, really...
about the size, w810 is fat, this phone is thin but almost the same width, so it feels a bit weird in touch.
in the end, it is about your own taste, what you want and how you like it.
