rakesh, 27 Mar 2010Dear Navin and all mobile featured loving my friend,
I am telling u a story "Some ... moreOk.. the other side of the story...
I did not have 3G connectivity so I had to be content with the normal EDGE speed which still is pretty impressive at 30Kbps(kilo bytes) which I get without any fuss on my airtel GPRS which costs me just 14Rs for 3 days worth of unlimited usage...
At that moment, I was quite busy downloading a full length movie using my Symtorrent bittorrent client while showing off some of my captured video files on the brilliant widescreen display. As she requested, I gladly switched my task to Opera Mobile web browser which is a symbian application and thanks to superior multitasking capabilities on my phone, It was done like a piece of cake. My poor friend though with 3g speeds found himself dumbstruck as most of the content on the website was flash and java based. Well thanks to my Opera mobile, I was able to view almost all the content on the website without much of a trouble and thanks to the brilliant 3.2 inch touch screen and the ability to find a particular text within a web page, I was able to pull it off quite easily.
The moral of the story being, Slow and steady always wins the race and at the end of the day, the slower but smarter turtle won the race.
My another question (dont be angry I'm just joking).
If you are Naite, Nevin is 5233, then who is Anita....Samsung Corby.?? ;-)
rakesh, 27 Mar 2010Dear Navin and all mobile featured loving my friend,
I am telling u a story "Some ... moreI dont know it is true or just a joke..
But you watch ladies serials..? Ha ha! I dont like these stupid serials, C'mon you should watch Dil Mill Gaye etc., type serials...
5233 is a good handset but it looks average (not hansome) and copy of 5800.
Nevin Joseph, 27 Mar 2010Hmmmm.... sorry to interfear again.. Buddy... in case you have'nt noticed, the symbian s60 is ... moreDear Navin and all mobile featured loving my friend,
I am telling u a story "Some days ago me(naite, looking avarage) and Navin(nokia 5233, looking handsome) went to marriage party. In party lots of Beautiful GIRLS surronded to Navin(nokia 5233, looking handsome) bcoz u know that.... After some time a GIRL named ANITA asked to NAvin plz would u tell me about my IIT exam result?
Navin told him "yes" why not i have nokia 5233, plz wait for one minute i am open internet browser(2G network siow internet), now from back side of NAVIN a loud and polite sound come "ANITA U GOT 123 all india rank CONGRATULATION"
DO u know on back side of NAVIN HOW is?
"me(naite, looking avarage) but on 3G network fast internet browsing speed.
Now me(naite, looking avarage) and ANITA are good FRiend and i gift her naite
ANITA and me alwyas use 3G video calling facility and watch Utaran, BaLIKa VAdhu and DLF IPL Cricket on 3GTV of NAite anyware in Park or Restaurent.
Nevin Joseph, 27 Mar 2010Hmmmm.... sorry to interfear again.. Buddy... in case you have'nt noticed, the symbian s60 is ... moreMany many newest virus can bite symbian phone in intrnet.
How many old antivirus cant scan newest viruses.
Hi all friends!
Especially for dear Rakesh and Nevin I am comparing 5233 and Naite.
5233 : good music quality but not much louder with speaker, 2 mp cam but no led flash, VGA @30 fps video but colors are not too perfect in video, 3.2" nHD touchscreen, youtuble flash support, No 3g, smart phone so better gaming experience + motion sensor, No memory card or USB data cable in box.
Sony Naite: Very good 2 mp camera + led flash, qvga @15 fps video recording, flash themes (Lively background), 3g with video calling +3gtv support, some good applications availabe which dont support nokia eg: facewarp, 2.2" Qvga screen, good loudspeaker volume, comes with great headphones, and 2 gb memory card, support multitasking.
S.E. Naite price Rs 6,200 (~92 euro) in Varanasi.
Nokia 5233 price Rs 7,200 (~107 euro), but you have to purchase seprate memory cards, Usb data caple and because supplied earphone is too poor, you have to purchase seprate headphone. Thease goodies costs you Rs 800 - 1,300 (or much higher). So 5233 total costs about 8,200rs.
So in Rs 6200 , Naite is a good phone, no nokia can compete it in this price.
rakesh, 27 Mar 2010dear niraj honestly i am telling u there is no diffrance in sony java and s60. Java applicatio... moreHmmmm.... sorry to interfear again.. Buddy... in case you have'nt noticed, the symbian s60 is a very flexible and multi platform. It implies that S60 phones can both run all java apps as well as symbian apps. In addition it is reverse campatibe with the older version of the symbian platform. So sis as well as sisx apps rum perfectly fine on this handset.
I agree that java platform for phones especially SE is fast becoming a strong contender but nothing can match the power of sis apps. A sis app runs just like you run a windows app for windows OS. Yes symbian is an OS.Java is only an app platform within a phone's OS. The advantages being that each app can use the phones full resources like processing power and ram to the full extent and has unlimited access to all the processes and services supported by the OS. Java platform just isn't there yet.
Just to give you a perspective of the things, there are apps like Symtorrent which can be used as a torrent client on the phone itself. Then there is the facility for installing third party codecs and media players which increases the media capabilities of the phone even further.
i do agree that java players are also available but are limited to the codecs supported by the phone. Java apps are also limited by the amount of memory allocated by the OS for the java engine. But sis apps have the advantage of utilizing all the memory of the phone if it requires so.
And not to mention the infinite customisation possibilities like theme support which is unmatched by any java phone. SIS themes are like the shell packs available for windows and has more customisation features.
All this can be your's for a mere 7300Rs for the Nokia 5233. So weighing all the pros n cons, i'd say 5233 is definitely the way to go as no other phone gives you this much. And keep in mind that no other brands give you a 'smart phone' with so much features at this price...
does this phone has USB port to connect with pC? i would like to use with USB cable to copy the data. pls comment.

arjun, 24 Mar 2010Delivery report is not stored as message in Naite, but it is indicated with right mark for del... moreIt seems that you wanna store some messages to a folder or so, to save them and in phone memory.
Well, you cannot create a subfolder in the main messages folder, but you can create such folders inside the existing folders like Inbox using the CATEGORIES option. If you are already aware of this feature, you need not read further.
1. Go to Inbox and scroll down to the message which you want to save.
2. From options>categories, choose a category or create a new category. You may create a new category with your own name!
3. Like this, select each message you want to group and select the category
4. Come out of Inbox and go to Messages>Manage Messages>Inbox
5. Options>Arrange by>Categories
6. Now come out of Manage messages option and open Inbox again
7. Done! Every time when a message comes in, you may select a category. You can also do the same inside sent/saved messages folders.
Hope this helps.
