Dear Colnagoguy,
i see u help alot of friends here and will be so thankful if u would help me.
i would like to ask about the mp3 player capabilities of K300. can it play long duration audio files in size of 10 mb also what about sound quality?
second, what about the ring volume, is it high enough? for example is it high like Nokia 3510i?

Myrcea, here is my opinion - first as in my earlier post:

In additon;
software - K300 more stable
mechanical parts - K300 mechanics is better
signal strength - equal
So my recommendation is to go for the K300 if you haven't had a TFT display before in your previous phones. Otherwise you should go for the Siemens or consider the K500i.

You can send pictures to computer by USB cable but you need the correct accessory cable: Sony Ericsson DCU-11 which connects between the connector in the bottom of the phone (same which is used for charging) and the computer's USB port.

HEY TAVY ,
INTERESTINGLY THE WATCH DOESNOT SHOW UP IN STANDBY MODE IF YOUR light SETTING IS SET TO BE ON "Power Save , WHILE IF YOU SET THE LIGHT setting on CONTIOUS ON AFTER SOME TIME THE clock show up in WHITE Colour at the left Top most Corner with ur Choosen Format.
Another interesting info which doesn't relate your question is arrangment is the wrist strap that hooks underneath the battery cover to the rest of the handset.
Also if you are a new Sony Ericsson Customer this is new for you >> that , THE RED FLASH APPEARS in the Power button when Battery is Extremely low after a Loud tone of Warning is heard.

Michael, first check all files in Mediaplayer (under entertainment in main menu). Next, check under "sounds" (under file manager in main menu). As a last resort check under "other" (under file manager in main menu). If you can't find it anywhere something during the download has not worked properly.
Ante, it should work without problems from cellular phone to computer - I do it daily with photos and sound files. However, don't expect to be able to send copyrighted files such as downloaded games/ring tones etc you have paid for. This is managed by the phone by DRM (Digital Rights Management.

Ive a problem.
Im on O2, went to 'PlayNow' and bought a song, anywhere know where it goes because i havent recieved it, bought it a few days ago, money taken out of PAYG and nothing recieved, any help?

I have a question. When I connect my cell via irda with computer I have a problem sending files to cpu from cell. There is no problem other way around. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The only tip I have regarding acheiving higher ringtone volume (other than main menu > settings > sounds and alerts (right with joystick) > Volume > 8) is to change the ringtone itself. Some ringtones are better optimized for the k300 acoustics, which mean that they sound higher. Ringtones with bass tones will always sound lower. Try changing ringtone and see if you feel it sounds higher.

Hi Colnagoguy, One of my friend has bought this phone but ringtone volume is not loud enough even at full volume level, but as per my knowledge this phone has loud volume. Can you tell me is there any setting in the phone to make it loud?

Yes, you can record sounds (even phone calls). The only limit is internal memory (10-12 Mb).
Cable to connect to USB port is an accessory cable called Sony Ericsson DCU-11.

The keypad is more like T610 - harder plastic
