I purhased this phone for $279.00
in Sydney Australia in September 2005.
Overall, it seems good so far.
A few negatives i found were:
1. when u take a picture or record video it makes a loud sound (you can not turn this sound off)
2. the ring tone vloume is just not loud enough.
3. when you go to save font size or the option to just type normal letters instead of T9 Dictonary, it does never seems to save settings for good.
4. when you play back audio / video on your phone it is low.
5. when you transfer your audio.video to the computer the audio is low and the quality is basic for the video resolution.
6. the screen is way to small and when you look at the screen in th daylight, it is very hard to read. it seens you can only read the screen well if you are inside/indoors.

after having said all this, i still really like the phone but do not feel it is worth the full $325 retail price it is selling for in Australia.

overall, it is a cute, stylish, reliabale, fully featured phone!!!!!

Well, I also have the same problem. My cell phone's charge doesn't last for so much days as that nokia 1100 used to be. But still I am happy with my Sony Ericsson. & I think that it lasts for more than 3 days . I think .

Hi. How long on average are other users getting out of the battery? My boyf doesn't use the phone a lot but has just got 3 full days out of a full battery, but he's not happy with that! Anyone else got the same 'problem'?

hi, this phone is nice and small, plus cheap. but in the messseging you can change the font and it says save, but it never saves, you have to do it all over again. the camera is good becasue if u jolt the camera it focuses it, but its contrast isnt very good. and when i put the volume on 8 it was still quiet and unreliable if it rings in another room.

'Fonts'. Has any one else had the same problems with me in changing the font and letter size?
I can change the minute 'normal' to large, and then change that to 'bold' and i then save my new setting. I then process to write out a text with out squinting! - i send that txt, then go to write another, and all the damn font settings i previously selected and saves have defaulted back to normal, it sucks. I took it back too o2 and the guys there didnt have an answer! Any one out there any more clued up?

well,i got this phone last week and i lots of pros and cons for this phone.
pros.
12mb memory
camera and lots of stuff
cons
takes 6 hour to charge
no bluetooth(now i know how important is bluetooth)
but i enjoy using this phone.
a great value for money.

befor i had a samsung and i found it in connect tone

hi! i havew this k300i, and i'm happy with it. good camera and video, nice and loud speakers, keypad is not hard to press. it's a cool phone, plus the cheap price. i give this 8.5 out of 10!

I just bought this mobile today. Like it very much . It nearly has all fuctions except BLUE TOOTH & FM radio which I don't even need. Thats why am happy with it.

The Sony Ericsson K300 is a great phone. I had the phone for about a week now and it totally rocks!!
The camera is good(dont mind all of those ppl trying to bring down the phone saying its bad, it's not)! (and it is not noisy at all.)
It has mp3 player and if u dont want to download ringtones or use the polyphonic ones you can simply record your own music. The recordings are loud.
The games are good.
You can edit your pictures taken. or before u take them.
You can divert your calls to another phone.
Use infared.
oh and use internet.
There are many other features.

I just bought sony ericsson k300i 2 days ago and I'm so proud of it! Before going to buy it I read all the reviews from here and I made up my mind.It's a great phone with such a great price!Before I had only Nokia phones,but I got bored of them and their same old menu so I wanted a change.Sony Ericsson is really a sweet,smart and cheap phone!

this phone has a pre and post picture editior! the pre includes adding frames before u take a shot and change the texture in terms of sepia, black and white, solorise and negative before u take the pic, and it has anither editor for after u take the pic just press use, scroll down to edit(can only work on pictures taken in small and medium format) and add clipart, frames draw on them and add kool effects, like having adobe photoshop wid u!

I bought a sony ericsson recently and its not has great has i had anticipated my main concern was with the quality of the photos taken. The differ in term of quality.

Hello ppl!!!!!!!!This is an extremely great phone. I have had experience with many phones, panasonic G60, Samsung V206, x450 and another one, motorola ee380,v220 and v500 aswell as sagem my x-6 and x-3 and now the sony ericsson k300i. The results is samsung is the worst brand in the world. They charge u alot of money on phones and they after a few wks u realize that it was a waste of pure money, i have a tv by them and that doesn't work properly, and a fridge that doesn't kool and cell phones, u think i would have learned my lesson. STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG THEY ALL SUCK! Now this phone is great, it tons of features great memory, remeber its a phone not an mp3 player, so be lucky u get one built in, the camera is fenomkinal, great quality even in VGA mode and u can edit the pix and use effects. The internet on it is quite fast and the phone has a wonderfull design. The colour very sharp and crystal clear as well as bright plus this phone has quickshare so u can easily send and take pic with 2 clicks. THis phone is the best for text messaging, i luv all its features and the convertor is pretty kool, its by java! the games are great. now u can always check the phone at sonyericsson.com uder United Kingdom in location(doesn't only sell there) and u will be surprised of what more u can find out. oh! nearly forgot this, it has realy fast,kool, 3D games and u can download more! LOVE THIS PHONE! And for those of u who didn't know, ericsson was a brand by itself that was doing well so Sony(yea, the big huge great company) either joined or bought it and improved on their technology and added a few great things. Rember, Anything with a Sony name is the best thing u can get.!
