okay........
to all the people on this forum argueing over which phone is better: i work for vodafone and there is no question about it: SE K700i is the single best phone on the market at the moment in any country that does not already have 3g (not including PDAs).
Nokia is history, all the people dissing SE are ignorant. anyone that knows anything about cellphones will know that SE is kicking nokia out of the top of the market so fast that nokia are trying to get back on top by having as many phones on the market as possible at any one time, and they all seem to be too boringly similar in regards to features and design.
nokias are great phones in regards to reliability, durability and user friendliness (more so with the older models), but they have NOTHING on SE when you compare technology, features and overall performance.
SE is the future in mobile communications/technology, its not an argueable matter, its a fact.
so to all the people still stuck in the 90's defending their nokias, buy a SE (any model above T610) or borrow a m8s for a week and 80% of you wont go back.
i have used literally every phone available on the market in our country, and they are all toys compared to the K700i.

Just got one today and so far am very impressed. Have not used MP3 yet as this it totally new to me.

i read from somewhere in the internet, that se k700 will get a firmware update from R2L001 to R3A....
does anyone may confirm that?

this phone has a really big display, but is it safe to keep k700i in jeans pocket. i mean does it may broke easilly when i´m sitting.
sry for that stupid question, but i still cannot decide, which phone i´m going to buy - nokia 6230 or k700i.

What does standard package include at this phone? Do u at least get a cd with some cool things on it?

you can use 4x digital zoom only if you choose smaller picture size.

I believe there should be a limit in the number of words, so that people like ku7...couillon of 25/8, waisting space telling us the stories of their lives....
This is a site where we expect to read a short message, not a scientific report from people who don't seem to have anything better to do in their life!!!!
Anyway K700 is a big flop in many aspects, no battery life etc. etc.

im a sales rep in a phone dealer company in australia called CRAZY JOHNS. well i have a k700i myself and i always recommend it to all my customers , its got the best screen and the camera in the market at the moment, but the only thing that worries me is that in the specs it says 4 times digi zoom but i have notieced that mine does only 2 times and so does many of the customers phones ,,, whats with that ,,can anyone tell me.

How can I downloads mp3 song as ringtones? Can I transter photo from my handphone to my pc? I tried to transfer by infrared port but it showed no device found. Then what should I do hah???

aren't the buttons kinda hard to reach? especially the bottom row ones?? kinda got squashed at the bottom of the handset, inorder to fit in a large screen.

Listen up people,like my grandfather always say's testy it´s like a ass, everyone has it's own.Imagine if everyone just like the same things life would be boring.But anyway,why buy a beautiful handset with no feaures?I guess does it metter if this mobile it's ugly,whats metter there r people like me that likes it.And i think people shouldn´t do stupid comments about others phone brands in here.I think this phone is very nice and doesn´t metter if others don´t like.I hope u all have "fun" with ur new K700i!!!

K700i is the best high end phone it the planet until this date of 25-Aug-2004 so far.

Conclusion:
The K700 is the best mobile phone from Sony Ericsson so far. The exception is of course the P800 and P900 PDA mobile phones, but these are PDA models aimed at the corporate market and twice as expensive.
