i heard after a firmware upgrade [R2L001] battery life n several bugs were fixed...can anyone confirm this?

I'm not any nokia fans. i'm one of the users who switched from nokia to SE, and i'm happy with my k700i. Only P900 turns me on for this moment

Just bought this ph 2 wks ago,must say tt it really has the functions i want n its design is nt bad too,gj SE. the bad things r just tt its memory is oni 41mb,with no memory card n the battery lasts really SHORT..zz So let's hope tt the next SE phone will be able to ovecome this probs,instead of saying this ph or motorola's E398 is better...tsk tsk...

does it allow you to tag mp3 files as ringtones [this question is direted to those who own the phone and have tagged the mp3 files as ringtones before]

i have the se k700 for 2 weeks and it is better than most fones on the market at the mo especially with the amount of features

Naa, Samsungs are overdesigned...SE is way betta.
The software is the trouble. Its very confused but if you go straight to the latest software (R2L) you only need one from the factory default software.

VERY stylish phone I think Sony Erricson phones are the only competition for Samsung models in the design stakes. Samsung are King of design at the moment but Sony Erricson come a VERY close second. This phone is a pleasure to look at. It is almost too stylish. The phone itself is wonderful it is packed full of features and is generally amazing. The only flaw is the small amount of memory you can have for this phone (40MB I think) but if that doesnt bother you you should DEFINATELY buy this phone!!! Impressive well designed phone. Your friends will be envious!!

Hey folks , the I just went to a mobile shop and compared k700 and moto e398. the diff is visibal.
K700 pros: very good design especially back cover
very good jogger response.
screen dispaly abd size is the best
very small to carry .
camera quality is comparable to 7610 (don't argue on megapixel specs)
the themes are really vibrant and lively
poly ringers are enhavnced ,40 chords
flashin camera is v good
mp3 player is v good but best in headphones. equalizer is provided to improve sound quality
More websites are on net to support downloads of various stuffs for k700 specially themes from esato.
Brand reputation is much more than motorola.
Note that SE p910 type pda phones have no competion by miles
cons :no expandable slot only 41 mb.
no expanadable mem phone book, only 500 as of T610 (sorry state)
front panel should have been more attractive ,it's very similar to T610 facia. battery sucks if u r job is kinda 'on the move'. u need to charge e'day .
Price is v high 100 US$ expensive
Moto E398 Pros : very good design . good concept of stereophonic sound l+r , loud sound .
the flashing colors with ringtones draw attention .
memory is more i.e 64+5 mb plus exxpandable.
The battery life better than k700i
Price is 100 us$ cheaper than K700i
cons:
the size of mb is more than k700, it's longer and weight is also more . Tha back flip is really embarassing . not attractive at all.
The keys and jogger quality is very bad . The poly tones are not as crisp though loud as SE even in mp3's .
No equalizer to set sound quality.
This review is as I have spent 1 hour usage of both these sets and at the end of day I have to buy k700i
No offence to other moto fans or all folks around here.

please help..by looking at the esato forums.. i get an impression that alot of the owners of the k700 NEED to get a software upgrade??once or frequent? and where can it be done?
please share your experience/what you think of this issue.

yea i admit tat a gud phone shud hav a better sound quality, but a gud phone shud hav a nice design as well... but i dont think moto E398 has a better design than k700i. rite?

Only if SE would have put in more memory or else should have made phonebook capacity unlimited (not merely 500 as that of T610), I'd purchase it today . Another drawback is that SE should phones more colorful and more powerful sound quality as that of moto E398. moto has more memory , vibrant colors and stereophonic sound .That's amazing bcoz ringtones are very imp. for gud phone

Matt! Actually u can scroll to 'ALL' (instead of Missed) to view the time for the missed call.

I have been using Nokia phones for many years. But after comparing SE K700i and Nokia 6230, I decided to switch to Sony Ericsson. Although these 2 phones have the same features but I still finds that SE 700i is more stylist and more worth to buy! Nokia 6230 has a very lousy design. SE K700i is user friendly and the camera can take very clear photo to!. Well done Sony Ericsson!

The K700i, a very POORLY designed phone, for one reason!
After thinking this was a error in the handset i rang sony ericsson and found out that . . .
When you have a missed call, the time of the missed call is not displayed, the software designers decided to leave this feature OUT. WHY ?
From a business point of view, it is the most crutial past of any handset, so why would one of the worlds leaders in mobile phones, decided to leave out this feature?
Very poor decision sony ericsson!

isit ok for u to compare N6260 with SEz1010, N2650 with SEz200, N6230 with SEk700i, N6630 with SEs710, N3220 with SEk500... i think they r mostly likely in the same category. pls correct me if im wrong, but i wud still hope tat the "unknown" can do some comparison for our SE fans over here.
