please help..by looking at the esato forums.. i get an impression that alot of the owners of the k700 NEED to get a software upgrade??once or frequent? and where can it be done?
please share your experience/what you think of this issue.

yea i admit tat a gud phone shud hav a better sound quality, but a gud phone shud hav a nice design as well... but i dont think moto E398 has a better design than k700i. rite?

Only if SE would have put in more memory or else should have made phonebook capacity unlimited (not merely 500 as that of T610), I'd purchase it today . Another drawback is that SE should phones more colorful and more powerful sound quality as that of moto E398. moto has more memory , vibrant colors and stereophonic sound .That's amazing bcoz ringtones are very imp. for gud phone

k700i's battery life sucks . why the hell is there no expandable memory. when is the k800 releasing in india anyways......

Matt! Actually u can scroll to 'ALL' (instead of Missed) to view the time for the missed call.

I have been using Nokia phones for many years. But after comparing SE K700i and Nokia 6230, I decided to switch to Sony Ericsson. Although these 2 phones have the same features but I still finds that SE 700i is more stylist and more worth to buy! Nokia 6230 has a very lousy design. SE K700i is user friendly and the camera can take very clear photo to!. Well done Sony Ericsson!

The K700i, a very POORLY designed phone, for one reason!
After thinking this was a error in the handset i rang sony ericsson and found out that . . .
When you have a missed call, the time of the missed call is not displayed, the software designers decided to leave this feature OUT. WHY ?
From a business point of view, it is the most crutial past of any handset, so why would one of the worlds leaders in mobile phones, decided to leave out this feature?
Very poor decision sony ericsson!

isit ok for u to compare N6260 with SEz1010, N2650 with SEz200, N6230 with SEk700i, N6630 with SEs710, N3220 with SEk500... i think they r mostly likely in the same category. pls correct me if im wrong, but i wud still hope tat the "unknown" can do some comparison for our SE fans over here.

nokia 6260 is a flip phone, u can't compare it with the K700i. Why don't u compare the N6260 with SE Z1010

I had the k700i from vodafone for about two weeks but had to send it back. The battery life time was useless not even lasting a day, even after doing the correct recharges and so on. Found some of the lights to be brighter on the keypad than others. Vodafone have put on stupid clips and pictures which you cant remove which is really annoying. But you can set the mps as ringtones, but not the message tones. Hope this helps

I almost bought a Vodafone Live K700i, but then i learnt that there are some options disabled by vodafone. DUMB??? Apparently, you can't set MP3 as ringtone, you can't customize shortcuts, and some vodafone preloaded images can't be removed, taking up valuable memory.
All these features are available on standard SE K700i.

nevermind just checked SE's website. you can use an mp3. definately buying this phone it looks sweeeeeet ;)

okay so can someone who has actually bought this phone clarify that you can use mp3's as ringtones or not?

those who think 41mb is not enough for your mp3 listening, go get an IPOD.
