'You can only play MP3's that are recorded at 16mhz i tried to send an mp4 file of 3.5mb from itunes to the phone using the usb cable and seriously it took about an hour to send just one song!
Then i read it can only handle 16mhz recorded mp3/mp4 normally recorded at over 200mhz + for quality'
You might wanna read my post below. And check your usb set up mate. I transfered 4mb files to the phone using bluetooth in under 3 minutes.
'can this phone connect to pc via infrared??'
'useless phone. its software is having some problem. NOT SUGGESTED TO ANYBODY.'
Get a life. Last time I checked it didn't have Nokia printed on it.
Got this phone 3 days ago and must says I am impressed. I have had a succession of Nokias previously and was going to go for the 6230 ... That was until The big f*ck up nokia mate in the UK, delivering 11000 faulty phones to orange for distribution. Lets face it, if one of my suppliers gave me a release date and only supplied 2nd rate goods I'd not be happy. Anyway, enough ranting. I really do like this phone. The operation is intuitive and the features excellent. The person who stated that mp3s can only be played if they are 16KHz should read the spec again as this applies to .wav files. And lets don't confuse KHz with KBpS. I have mp3s on my K700 which are 44KHz and 196KBps.I currently get a 3 day battery life (medium usage). All in all it's a great phone. Let's face it, if you want good pictures get a digital camera and if you want mp3s get an Ipod but don't expext anyphone to be able to deliver satisfactorily on all 3 counts.
Hi i am Ravi ....i just started using mobiles from the month of may 2004 ...i started with a SE T105 ....was nice for the start ... i got familiar in just 10 days ....i bought a SE T610 ........i got familiar with this in just a months time ....and so i switched to a SE K700 ......and must mention the K700 is worth all the money i spent .......not to forget that all the other SE mobiles i used were NO LESS . thank u....... Ravi .
useless phone. its software is having some problem. NOT SUGGESTED TO ANYBODY.
well just got one from o2,contract,very nice phone, not for sale yet, but told £270 when released, had a n6230 for a week over rated phone this is lot better, but me mate got a n6600 witch is very good 2, the n6230 is aimed at kids k7001 think not as the price wont move that much as nokia phones
i think the K700i is more comparable to nokia 6230 instead of 7610 and 6600. SE still have the P900 as their flagship
Just bought K700i today, beautiful LCD. A little lag indeed, But i still love it. i'm leaving nokia. Here i came....SE
glad some ppl agree wif me.and by the way,for those nokiafans out there.. go check out nokia phone again. they finally produce clamshell phones. nice design really but they made a mistake again. a same one in fact. they start producing similar function phones but wif different phones design. i think nokia shld really go do some survey... ppl nowadays can afford high end and expensive phones. and 65k colour can also be cheap too. not necessary selling a low end phone with 4096 colours!
It's one of the best phone and it's true that we can't compare it with Nokia7610 and 6600 or viceversa because these phones are good in their own features, Also this phone does support infrared connectivity via PC for transfers.
Great features, great design, great everything except the price. Before coming out I heard it would cost around 400-450 euros. The lowest price I have seen is around 550 euros. A bit too expensive I think even though its a great phone. I hope its price drops soon!
REMEMBER GUYS, this is not a smartphone, this is not Symbian OS, meaning you can not compare it with the Nokia 6600 or the 7610. This phone rocks with the simplicity usage and the great feathres.
I just got one, All I say it is for the ppll who looks for classic look and with excellant feathers. But I dont recomend it for ppll who use it as the Nokia 6600
One disadvantage I have to mention which I thought I wont be seeing it in this phone like the T610 which is that the Ring Volume is still low to me comparing to the Nokia phones :(
Great looking phone, very light for what it has inside.
Screen is a massive improvement by SE. Again though slow menu reacting time is annoying but used to it now.
You can only play MP3's that are recorded at 16mhz i tried to send an mp4 file of 3.5mb from itunes to the phone using the usb cable and seriously it took about an hour to send just one song!

oh and it has already crashed on me after owning it for only 1 day when someone tried to call me as i answered.
Still love the phone though and it looks the buis.
Guys this cell fone rocks!!! i m fron india...and as u all know nokia's biggest market is INDIA....well..i aint a nokia's fan at all...i think...nokia sucks big tyme...as they chagre...too much and they give....less...features and...other stuffs comapared to SE. Well..i got t610 yeah yeah i know its awarded da best cell phone of the year....haha...and planning to buy a new one. And i have decided to buy k700..which iz really nice compared to N7610 and da price iz also less in India compared to N7610. The Nokia fans juzz want to blaff dat the camera iz fuk all but i got an answer dat too a proper answer... ||| u cannot judge a camera's quality by the megapixels only, as it also depends on the quality of the CCD/CMOS Sensor and the Lense and everything...|||
ANYWAYS SE ROCKS GUYS AND SO MY T610 AND K700 (y) ADIOS
U people are comparing phone's camera as though u are buying the phone for the sake of the lame camera. Even a cheapo digital camera can take a better picture than any phone anytime. If camera are really so important, why not just buy a digital camera?
don't u guys think nokia's supporters are kinda childdish? They keeps saying keep saying how better nokia is than sony ericsson, while SE's users arn't doing it that often. SE's users should stay clear from kids.
