i had this phone 4 almost a year now.and its really great.ive never encounter such prob w/ my k700 phone.it is durable.thanks to sony ericson!!!!

Yes joystick,it stops working...is ther any shortcut to go to menu?

its a great fone.. excellent features.. evrything's ok.
its not like the old model fones bcause this is ok..
just one problem. THE JOYSTICK. wen i press down, nothing's happening. and then wen i press down again, instead of down, it becomes "enter" so u wul actually think its broken, but its not.

I've had this phone for almost 2 yrs now n I think it's great. NEVER have I encountered any problems with the design, usage or functions. It's one of the greatest. The only reason I'm changing it is because I'm getting W880 or K610.

I have had a K700i for about 1 year and have found the phone gets dust inside the screen, it freezes and you have 2 take the battery out to get it going again, the toggle thing gets broken easily, sometimes my messages won't delete and its stuck on the internet lol.
Apart from that it is a great phone but im thinking of upgrading to a SE K750i - is this a good move or should I be looking at another phone?

The phone is great. But its joystick is certainly not designed to be used. After roughly 6 months the thing has failed and causes me nothing but irritation. As well the charger cable connection design is poor. After some time the locking nubs wear out and fail to hold a tight connection between the conduits. This leads to the annoyance of getting up in the morning and finding a dead battery waiting for you.
I will not buy this phone again. But when it worked it was a joy.

Great phone I've been using for 3 years and still working.The only problem : sometimes it's deleting phone numbers from phone book,only numbers not names :)
Otherwise it's very nice .I have a lot of java aplications , mid , mp3....

Had this phone for about a year and never gave
me any trouble.Till i started having trouble install or downloading Java applications.
Before i could,but now all i get is a 'invalid
application'what up with that???
What good is a phone if you can't have any
application or games.

I have got K700i n i m happy with it but is the problem with the scroll key as it is giving me a headache so plz plz help me out with your suggestion what i should do with the mobile.Thanks for your kindness.

...this model from Sony Ericsson definitely haz a problem with joystick ! ...i used mine 6 months, and BANG ! the joystick refuze to work...and it had to be repaired...and i know a lot of friendz with same problem ! ...rest of it, except the bluetooth v1(whick is slower than v1.2) this phone is great !

great phone for its price in Nairobi.though the charger plug could be improved like nokia's and motorola's to avoid breakage.the sound quality is good,just improve on mp3 channel and make it slim to avoid losing out to similar priced moto L7.anyone knows any free software downloads sites for k700??? thanks in advance

Hi, i have got this fone nd had it for about 6 month.I think this is a good fone but they are some bad point These include:

I had mine for about 13 months but cannot recommend for sure! Had reception and joy stick problems and had to be repaired, no mobile ever gave me these faults. Doesn't charge properly, guess it's defective charger as well since i read so earlier.When I connect to hands free via bluetooth battery just drains and hardly serves my working hours. It looks nice though but I want reliability not just looks

no sorry stray thats just your phone...lol, general sony-ericsson phones are not that faulty, it is probably the way you treat yours. I've had mine for 2 years, and it is much better condition than yours, so where does ypur argument fit in?

I've still got this thing but I never use it anymore because it's so tedious. The charger fails to work properly - it will flick in and out of charging randomly because I guess there's a loose connection inside there somewhere. So you put it on to charge and then wake up the next day to realise you still have an empty battery. This coupled with the fact that the joystick has worn out after about 10 months of use is why the phone is sitting in my draw and why I reverted to my old skool nokia 3330. Plus the little rubber bit of fascia at the bottom of the phone fell off because it was stuck onto the plastic case using some kind of weak glue material. Sony Erricson sure do bring out phones with nice features for the price but their build quality tends to be quite apalling most of the time.

Wonderful phone had it since july 6,2005. My problem is the power button broke off and the phone tend to freeze at times. also has a charging problem which I now realize all sony ericssons seem to have. Mine was a gift and that It shall remain. one that i cherish. Wonderful sony.
