Nonsense Ben, the only one acting like a kid here is you...most of the things you state about the phone are wrong, and you just cannot take the fact that some one younger than you has the power and commensense to argue back and even over power...mate the things you say about the phone may be true but you instantly say it's crap just because what YOU have experienced, you see that YOU therefore when newcomers come on and read your reviews they will be like "Oh Ben said the phone has crap battery life, I think it's rubbish now" therefore you are affecting there decision.
So if you make them hate it just because the battery life ain't good enough for you i am gonna argue against that because my battery life lasts up to 4 days and i have had this phone for over a year now, so MATE what i say isn't wrong i am just defending the phone that i love, i hope you will understand in future, next time i will break it down for you if it helps!

Diane you can update the firmware on the phone so the MP3's will work as ringtones, the ringtone volume can be cahnged and for tips on how to save batery life just scroll down the forum many people have different tips. Also the price of the phone dwon the UK is very cheap now...only £80!

This phone looks great and has some really good features. however i have to charge my battery every day, i lose 2 bars of charge on a 10 minute call.
the ringtones are so quiet that i can't hear the phone ring unless i am sitting right on top of it.
the camera is not the best quality, the pictures are no better than those i used to take on my sagem myv55. i expected better from such an expensive phone.
any downloaded mp3s cannot be used as ringtones because of the vodafone firmware.
all in all, i would expect more from a $400 phone and wish i had bought something else.

What Ben say its true.. Maybe some ppl have their own self-created special k700i fone so its became da perfect fone for em. Its okay to admit mistakes and that the fact the K700i isnt that good enough as K750i and most Nokia fones.

i can see you have a very soft spot for this phone. but you have gone wrong in far too many places to begin with. i didnt ask anyone else to hate this phone along with me. i need not do that. look at some previous posts and u'll see apart from a few schnooks like u most people think this phone is no good. thts bcos SE always have had a penchant for making phones tht have all the bells n whistles but with useless core features. the T610 is a wonderful example of this. when it was released it was a hit. but one year down the line it was discarded as one of the lousiest performing phones ever. all SE phones have this fate sealed even before they hit the market. im no nokia fan but u have to accpt there are countless nokia phones out there that have held the same popularity for years and years and never lost the battle even after ages since their release. and u know why? simply cos they have quality. not just the bells n whistles to attract people first and then thrust in their hands a lousy piece of technology that has numerous problems. youre a teenager and tht easily explains ur woeful ignorance to accept these facts. i have no complaint. im sure a few years down the line u'll realize son. or then again maybe u wouldnt...

What a load of nonsense...I argue with people like you (Haters) because what you say about the phone isn't true, or happens to you and not me therefore if you say the battery life is crap just because when you had the phone the battery life was crap i am gonna argue against that because it is not crap to me and it lasts up to 4 or 5 days for e and i have had the phone longer than you...so what does that say to you? You just lost an argument to an immature teenager with a lousy attempt to argue about the phone i idolise, mate i love SE, and if your gonna come and diss it then use your brain qquiet obviously i am gonnna defend it...

For the person coded "P5my" you are right about opinions but you just made a statement saying people shouldn't buy the phone just because of what you hate about it when you are supposed to balnce good and bad points about the phone then overall describe it at the end, not just diss it and expect people to agree with you...mate it won't work!

To Angel, the k700i does have a USB port and if your thinking of getting it i recommend because just like any other phone the USB port send files faster than Bluetooh dongles or Infra-red ports therefore the USB ports are better.

Yes Tom the bluetooth is very good on the K700i, its fast & easy to use, has a 10 metre range & you can send almost anything through bluetooth including MP3's, Midi files, Images, Videos, Recordings etc...

Plus Jimibags use the phone fairly, because if you use features too much on any phone thee battery will get weaker, also once it's fully charged do not charge it for any longer that will also affect the battery time and turn on battery save mode (you should find it on settungs).
And Replayee your probably right lol!

Thanks matthew, I've ordered a new battery from ebay, I'm sure I charged the original battery for the recommended 12 hours but can't really remember. Hopefully if i charge the new one enough it will make a difference.

To Matthew. I dont think it is the nokia fans who are complaining because the 6230 does not compare with the k700i. The main flamers are the e398 fans who wish they had this phone. Lol

yeah right! the keys are really lousy and very hard to text. the sms engine in SE phones is always far behind that of nokia. thts obvious. my phone had countless software problems. gave up the lousy phone in 3 weeks. many people complain here obviously because this phone is no good. but of course some of you may idolize the phone. that's all fine. that is a fact of life you have to accept. it may be good to some but not so to others. you just have to weigh the opinions n see if its worth risking buying a phone like this. but obviously thr are far better phones out there than this for far less prices...

Does the SE700i have the same rubbish texting options as the K300i? i.e when u change the text format/fonts to large letters and bold fonts, they totally reset to default even after u save them?

I have had this phone for about 7 months now and overall there is only 2 things I would change.
1. The battery can get annoying, as for me it only lasts for about 2-3 days
2. Its a shame that this phone doesn't have a memory card slot because there are alot of things you could put on this phone (pics, mp3's, applications) but with 41MB it just doesnt have the space.
A good, reliable and solid phone.
