No you cannot zoom in large photo size in new phones. Actually, you would have to DOWNgrade your phone software (firmware), but it is not possible officially from SE. Sorry bro...
To BMP :
It is not possible to have Ring Once option, but there is Increasing Ringing option.
The tasks have a reminder function (with vibration), which I think is sufficient if you have the phone nearby. Many phones have similar task reminders. You cannot have loud ringing alarm.
To Christian :
Like I've already said. It is possible, but risky. I got the firmware flashed within 10 days of my buying the phone. I'm glad it turned out to work very well, but I cannot guarantee that it will work for you too. (Mine works 100%, I thank God for that) If you're prepared to take the risk, then email me (gimme your phone specs too). Else au revoir mate! But I tell you, it is worth, just for the Media Player!!

You have to first install the SE software from the CD that came with the phone. It's a PC suite, without which you cannot use the USB cable to interface with the PC. (Even if it shows Charging, the battery is not actually charged unless you have installed the software). If you don't have the CD, you can get the software from the SE site :

If you have installed the software, then try reinstalling it first. Then first plug the cable into the PC, then to the Phone Pop port. Hope this helps...

the phone will only detect if u put the cd software and load the drivers from the cd to the computer. otherwise it will only charge the phone. after loading all the drivers and programs then only it will work.

helo guyz..i have my new k750i and was purchased a month ago..just want to ask if theres any way how to turn off camera sounds while shooting pictures? i want to upgrade the firmware to w800i but i'm afraid to flash it coz its under warranty yet. i know third party application is not covered in warranty, but i really want to..is there any way how to flash it without a risk? i mean could anyone of you guys can give me application which is totally 100 percent working when done flashing..please email me if you have..christian_spidey@yahoo.com..be generous guyz..SE k750 rules on all mobile phones.

i love this phone! my sister has se k610 and i dont like it. she has videocall (3g), faster software and a few things that my doesnt have, but k750 has flash, autofocus, radio, infrared ... screw k610 ! ! !

Hi again...
I have been reading several comments and queries and decided to clarify a few (if not all).
->The CAMERA of the k750i is THE best 2MP mobile camera ever, and also beats the quality of some 3MP mobile cameras. I would again suggest using the flash attachment and the software for perfect pictures. Do not expect 100% Digital Camera quality, though I can say you may expect upto 80% quality. (For more info, email)
->The ZOOM is not available in full resolution ONLY in the new firmware, so if someone got the phone like 6 months ago and has not upgraded the firmware, zooming is possible in 2MP resolution. (By the way, it is my personal opinion not to use digital zoom... the cropping takes out the quality of the picture)
->The SOUND volume via ear/headphones is only weak in the newer firmware (R1DB001 to be precise). Again older firmware phones have remarkable sound quality at high volume, especially the bass. (Best firmware would be R1CA021). You can Flash the Firmware to increase the volume, but it's not recommended. Use the equaliser to maximise sound.
->You CANNOT read Office documents on the phone. You can read TEXT files (*.txt) though, using some java applications. (In case anyone wants to know, please email. NOTE: Installing third party applications will void you of your warranty if it corrupts your phone)
->You CAN convert the k750i to the w800i, by just Flashing firmwares. I have tried it, and it works brilliantly, but I cannot guarantee it'll work for others. IMP NOTE: Flashing to third party firmwares immediately voids the phone warranty. You may do this at your own risk.
->I still do not know if you can transfer SMSes to the Memory card, or to the PC, because neither have I tried it, nor do I have the use for it. If anyone knows about how to go about it, whether by application or by Flashing, please comment.
->I can now CONFIRM that the phone supports any branded 2 GB Memory Stick Pro Duo. Phone runs really fast (even when MS is 90% loaded. It is wise to keep about 100 - 150 MB free on the 2 GB Stick, always), and has never hanged after the initial 5 days. I will test the phone with a 4 GB Stick as soon as I can.
->The phone works really fast even if the phone memory is 90% full. This is mainly because there is no OS. Although I again advice keeping 10 MB free on the phone memory. (What with the 2 GB card, who'd wanna use the 34 MB??)
->VIDEO RECORDING is unlimited in the High Quality mode, when you save the file on the Memory Stick, AND you have at least a 512 MB MS with 100 MB free. 1 min video rec. approx = 500-600 KB, so do the math! Oh, the battery would only last for about 3-4 hours or so of continuous recording, so that's another factor to consider...
->The JOYSTICK does NOT give any problems if you keep it clean regularly. Just remove the dust with a lens cleaner, and blow hard while moving the joystick, and that should do. Use the phone with care, and it will last long.
->The BATTERY life is decent enough, but the INDICATOR is a deceiver. If you play Music in the loudspeakers for a long while, or use the Camera continuously, then it will last for a short time, like 3/4 hours. But what do you expect... Many Digital Cameras also die out in 3/4 hours continuous use. Under normal use, which is 1 hour music through earphones, 45 mins talk, about 45 mins Camera On, the phone roughly lasts 2.5 days. So no complaints there. (By the way, the battery lasted 1.5 hours of music time when it showed 10%.)
->There ARE third party applications that allow you to lock SMS and/or files, but I have not tested any, and cannot recommend them. The is NO way to lock the KEYPAD with a security code.
->The REMOTE CONTROL thing in the entertainment menu is used to control your PC remotely (using Bluetooth). You can control the Media player, or the Desktop. Presenter is used to change slides in a Powerpoint presentation. It's a real useful tool for presentations. (You need bluetooth on the PC/Laptop for that, though).
->The PHONEBOOK MAY be upgraded to 1000 entries using Flashing, but again, I am not sure. Flashing is risky business, and is only for the experts, unless you wanna turn your phone into a brick.
Sorry for the long comment, but I do hope that a lotta people have had their doubts cleared. To all those who had bad experiences with the phone, its sheer bad luck. Please feel free to email me about any query, or with anything new about the phone.

chep26, set the video quality to high then you can take video for as long as your memory allows.
ray, your card could be counterfeit, there are a lot going around especially the sony. Try a genuine sony or sandisk card. Theres info on the net on how to spot a real from a fake card.
ive ordered a 2gb sandisk myself and will post a review here when it arrives.

I ve been using the fone well over 4 months now. II ts been perfect.... I ve put the 512 MB card recently... it s become faster n gr8... I ve loaded it fully... omly 20 mb free...... My advice s just keep the whole fone memory free...It s the best fone i ve ever used.....

this phone has massive amounts of great features, but a massive flaw! the joystick allows mostiure! i had this phone for 3 months until it became so called 'water damaged!" the retailer and supplier admitted to this being this phones biggest flaw! unless u get this phone supurbly cheap....dont bother!
