Hi @ DOUL
i sent an email with an attachment of the SONY ERICSSON UPDATE SERVICE program (screen shot) it shows there is no option to "continue anyway" in regards to updating the K750i when it says there are no updates available for the phone when i have an old version of the firmware.. ps is this your email address (adelzone.at.@hotmail.com)
the screen of the K750i is the same as the d750i/w800 ones..the only difference is the cover.

Though K750 doesn't have a "standard support for USB Mass Storage" or hot plug feature -like your mentioned USB flash drives-, nothing prevents it from being so, only a small software application/suite -found in the bundled CD- installation is required, once it's installed, the MS will be just as a USB flash drive "Removable Disk" in "My computer" just beside your optical disk(s) -other brands/models MAY support USB mass storage by default and MAY not need a software installation to be identified by the PC, differs from a model to another-, and you'll be able to transfer data to/from it just as if you're transferring data from a partion to another in your HDD, what will matter then are supported applications/data that can work in K750, and in general this differs from a model/brand to another -K750 is able to play/open all picture formats, MP3, MP4 (M4A), ACC and AMR audio formats -also WAV format is supported but under a special condition-, 3GP and MPEG-4 video formats and HTML document formats.
Basically it can hold/store all kinds of data formats, but you won't be able to view/edit the unsupported data format files in your K750.
There is a button named "Continue/Update Anyway" or something similar to that, just click on it and it will update it.
You never know.
hey i checked the Firmware for my SE-K750i this was to check what version firmware i had and it said i had "R1AA008" which was released on 9/12/05. and checked out a website i noticed there is the latest firmware available which is"R1BC002" released on 9/3/06... so when i downloaded all the appropiate drivers at the SONY ERICSSON UPDATE SERVICE program (SEUS) and tried to see the new updates while my phone is plugged into my computer it said "THERE ARE NO UPDATES AVAILABLE FOR YOUR PHONE, SE-K750i" ... whats with that?? please help cos the updates would make the phone so much better...
hey i checked the Firmware for my SE-K750i by pressing on my keypad >*
I've using k750 4 2 months. It's a great phone. I can insert a 2 gb stickduo .
W700??? D phone sux. No autofocus. It's not dat worthy to compare wid k750. My suggestion is buy k750 n b satisfied. Cao . . .
The SE K750 caught my intrest, looking at the specs and reviews, I would have to say it would have to be one of the best feature-for-feature phones available. I plan to get one, but still shopping around. As for my question, most mobile phones today have a card slot feature, I was wondering if anyone would know if I could retain data files from your pc onto the memory card used in mobile phones? as in like a USB flash drive. In theory it seems possible, or would it create problems on unit, or depend on the phone? Stuff like this are not usually shown on specs. I would like to hear anyones feedback on this, Thanks!
is not worth to buy w700 if i will u i think i will buy k750i or w800 (8_*)
Around 200-250 KB, don't know exactly how many SMS's will fill that size, but it will hold a load of plain SMS's -personally have 81 SMS's, around 15 of them are multiple pages and the rest are one full page each-, you'll have to store any MMS content in another place however -whether in folders is the shared memory or in the MS, or your main "Pictures" and "Sounds" folders- and keep those ~ 200-250 KB for SMS's only.
- As long as the new one isn't attractive for you and you don't encounter any bugs with your current one, then forget it and get over it, no need to answer your questions as long as you aren't gonna update now, I suggest waiting untill the next/coming release.
In general, updating the firmware is safe, and updating time depends on your connection speed.
- MAYBE, I repeat, MAYBE I know something about K750, but I didn't own or toyed with S710 before, so it'll be better -and safer- if you directly contact SE about your S710 software update question.
- They made it wrong in T610 and corrected that in the newer K750, pretty normal.
- It turns itself off, I meant in my previous post that switching everything off and leaving the phone idle with a long playlist will be as if it's switched off.
- "also is k750i even capable of browsing ppls files through bluetooth?" ... NO COMMENT !
I gave two to "stoian" down this page, one from "jack", and here's another one:
Esato doesn't have a few, it has a LOT, 200+ pages with 10 themes in each page, pretty decent amount, google for others if you needed more.
To instantly erase the selected text with "C" key.
Maybe not used that much, but as you know, having the gun while not needed is way better than needing the gun while not having it.
