thanks for your reply.
my phone screen goes white then its as i have just started th phone eg waiting for contact infomation to open and so on.
as regarding pressing buttons they dont work til it starts back up again.
m on to my third head set and 2nd phone apart from this the phone is great, but because im in different cars all day (motortrader) i need
my voice activation to work properly.ive only 3-4 months left to a upgrade, but i might have to go back to nokia if i cant fix this problem
which is a shame because my last 3 phones have all been se.
I switched my phone off yesterday (first tiome for ages) and when I switched it on the phone wouldn't switch on. The only way it worked was when I took my 256MB mempry card out. has anybody else had the same problem? It's normally fine but the memory card is nearly full. I've just ordered a 1G memory card will it happen with that too, if it works at all? Also can I put DVD's onto my phone. I converted a dvd to MP4 and transferred the files onto my phone but when I went to view the files the phone said hat I couldn't view the file. No sound or anything. Is it because of the resolution - if so can I change this and if so how?
As I said yesterday, and as I informed "DJblakel" also yesterday -but seems he forgot-, it's because of the resolution of those videos.
You can hear the audio of the video which proves that it's already running, the problem is that the phone screen can't produce resolutions higher than 176 pixels in hight and 144 pixels in wide -or the opposite, depends if the phone is being held horizontally or vertically and the play back in full screen or not-, and it has nothing to do with the dimensions of the screen itself, K750 screen video play back maximum resolution is 176*144 and that's a fact you gotta deal with, it's designed only for that resolution at maximum.
You can have a Samsung 19" CRT monitor with maximum resolution of 1920 x 1440, whereas my Hansol 19" CRT monitor maximum resolution is only 1600*1200, see, both are 19" yet they differ in maximum supported resolution, but is that means that I can make my monitor produce images/movies higher than 1600*1200 without scaling or reducing these images/movies resolution to the max. supported resolution of 1600*1200 pixels ?? No, the monitor will simply lose sync. and will go blank.
I can view pictures higher than 1600*1200, but if I wanted to view them in full screen the monitor only focuses on a part of the picture equals 1600*1200 pixels, and I have to use the scroll bars to view the rest of the pictures, but there is only a portion of 1600*1200 pixels in front of me at all times.
Same applies to K750 screen -without the ability of focusing of course, it's only designed to produce videos of 176*144 resolution at maximum and won't sync. with videos higher than that-, just all you need to do to view them on your K750 screen is converting them into that resolution.
I don't know for sure how much you can create, I have four myself. Guess you'll be able to create more than enough playlists.
As for the manufacturing place, you should find a line just under the drawings on the battery indicates where it has been made and finished, as for the phone, it should be written on its box.
Anyway it's not a big deal, it should be either made in Sweden, Germany or China, probably it will be manufactured in Germany and assembled in China, I don't know, I have mine totaly fabricated in China.
I just have a comment in W800 firmware, "R1AA008" is the same one name for two different firmwares, the latest K750 firmware is R1AA008, and the latest firmware of W800 is also R1AA008, but K750 R1A differs than W800 R1A, both have the same name yet they are different in the core/codes.
I believe that SE recent update utility prevent the K750 user from flashing his K750 into W800 firmware, if I'm missing something please inform me.
i ususaly charge mine for around 5hours after its totaly been drained out. and it will sit at around 100% to 95%
as for your only going to 80% or so, id say you did not totally charge yours for the first time you used it, OR charged it and used it, chaerged it and used it, etc... this MIGHT be your problem. it could also be a faulty battery.
i have found out that sometimes i cant convert .AVI files into MP4. i am still unsure why but im assuming it has somthing to do with conversions and compression.
your k750i should play mp4's with no problem, but i have found when i get a MP4 file of a Samsung D600 mobile phone (it records in mp4 not 3gp) it will not work.
also, it could be your settings on Xilisoft. i posted on the last page the settings you should use for MP4 conversions. check that out and have a go. if you hit the same problem, let us know and we will have a look ;)
Thanks for your help. Is there a time limit I should be changing the phone for? Or do I charge until I get 100% charged or close to it? Thanks again!
Thanks alot @DoUL
It totally worked!! Now I don't have to listen to my ringtones why playing my MP3 tracks..
And I don't have to go through the disk2phone hassle BS!!
How many Playlist can I create??
My Comment: Im telling you guys!! This is the best phone I ever had!! I give a 100% recommendation for this phone!!
Just a little weird thing.. I do not know where my phone was Made.. I have checked the box, the battery compartment. Nothing! I found nothing.. But another weird thing is I have some of my files in chinese characters.
Oh well. I don't care anyway!! Mine is working great!! I just upgraded mine to a W800i F/W with the latest F/W.. R1A!
I know I don't have a faulty USB port. So I'll try to re-install the rPC suite software.
Thanks for all your help!
Hello guys. I bought this phone and it is awesome but i would like to know if it supports voice-sound recording. Does anyone know where is this option?
I was wondering if any of u were actually able to view mpeg4 vids on the phone. I used the Xilisoft video convertor to convert some of the avi mpeg etc files on my p.c to the mp4(video) format and put it onto the 750i . Although i can see the files there ( animated pic on a film role), it does not play. On playing i can hear audio but no video comes in. Any suggestions??????
thanks @DoUL for clearing up some of my errors and missouts. i will be at tafe 3days a week but i will try answer all your questions as soon as possible with the help of DoUL
thanks again all
OK, I've took a quick look on what was going on in here back till my very last post, some questions have been answered, some haven't, but as I said maybe the question poster isn't following this forum anylonger, so I repeat, if anyone of you -who is reading these words now- have an important question which hasn't been answered yet, please feel free to ask it again and we'll try to help you as much as we can, me and DJblakel.
There are some questions left unanswered between "DJblakel" last two posts, I'll answer those for more likely their posters are still following this forum waiting for an answer to their questions.
1) No, there is no such option in any of K750 firmwares, you'll have to manually insert it, or if you just need to send a contact to someone you can directly send it -go to Contacts, select the contact you want to send, click More, then select Send contact- without the need to manually insert it into an SMS.
2) You can do that, but not as straight forward as we would like it to be.
Go to Organizer, select Calender and select the day of the appointment and click More and select New appointment, select the date and time of your appointment, select the duration through which you want the phone to alarm you about that appointment, write the appointment name/subject and location, and whether if you want that appointment be linked with other appointments as well or not.
Now, to recurrent that appointment, select it -go to Organizer, Calender and select the date in which the appointment is and click select-, click More then select Copy, add 7 days to the date on the screen to make it recurrented after 7 days, add one to the month value to be recurrented after a month and so on.
Same steps can be done if you saved your appointment as a task.
Move any MP3 from the MP3 folder which you find once you open the Removable Disk to that location; Removable Disk\MSSEMC\Media files\audio\MP3. Now you should be able to find and access all your MP3's in your phone.
No, at all, all of these are connecting methods/technologies. What differs them from GPRS is that they are faster in communication (sending & receiving data via the wab) than GPRS, but GPRS still do it fine.
"DJblakel" forgot to tell you that your videos have to be of 176*144 or 176*122 resolution to scale correctly with your K750 screen resolution.
It's kinda hard for me to understand your question, I think you mean that your phone screen goes blank when you try to voice dial someone and the phone doesn't recognize your order, am I correct ??
I don't know, I don't have a bluetooth headset, and I don't encounter this problem whith my wired headset -I often voice dial through it whenever I have it plugged and 60% of the times the phone doesn't recognize the contact's name-.
What happens when you press the key and say the name again ??
Man I do love my K750 indeed, but I'm not gonna worship it ! It's indeed a very good phone -close to be perfect- yet it still has some minors -such as anything in this universe-. What I'm doing in here is for the sake of knowledge exchanging only, not because of SE K750 itself as a certain piece of hardware.
BTW, it's not an IP, it's just a time zone indicator -I believe-, so if anyone else from your place posted in here, he will take the same 4 digits, so I recommend writting your name not to confuse between you and anyone else -it's not that hard after all to write your name ;)-.
"MMS" stands for Multimedia Messaging Service/System, and the word "Multimedia" includes video into it.
The phone specs. says that it supports MMS, so you can certainly send video clips using MMS feature support in K750.
The phone automatically check for and identify any MP3 stored into it and saves it directly in the "All Music" playlist in the media player.
To separate between modified ringtones and full MP3's, create a playlist and select/add to it your full length MP3's only, just as I do.
Good to see you again man.
This page includes instructions of "how to" use MpegAble X4 Live:
W950 specs. says that it brings nothing new to the table, all same features -except the bigger screen with higher resolution and Symbian OS-, anyway you can't tell for sure untill they officially launch it.

DJblakel, I recently asked if the phone comes with a converter software, pounds into killos etc and you answered my question so I thank you for that, honestly. I also found the software too.
One other one quick one to anyone that knows, can k750i send video MMS? I intend to get this phone next week or two.
hey ya @doul.. i add you to my msn (^_^). interested to see you though... been seeing you around that you are so dedicated to answer these question regarding K750, you must love your K750 alot (me too..., just can't be bother to always replying--sorry about that though). Remember me? i asked you question month ago.. then you complaint because i didn't post my name... i used to post my name, but then soon as i realise that i have the ip no displayed, then i decide not to put my name down and expect that ppl will know me as watever ip no that appears. Well.. if you would like to address me, you can call me either "sesukaku" or "hiroshi", because both of them are my nickname (not my real name, if you wanna know, tell ya in msn)
