Sorry man it hasn't an airplane mode, for that I auto divert all my calls to my voice mail box through my operator -Vodafone- not through the phone, as through the phone you will still have signals which will be blocked but through the operator it will be blocked at the operator's mmmmmm tower/station/ whatever it is without the need to signaling your device.

I was wondering if someone could tell me if the 750i has an 'airplane mode' to shut off incoming and outgoing signals? Thanks!

Sorry man but you can't record songs from the FM radio as far as I know -don't use the radio that much though-.

manoo
Man if you just read the manual.
Ok here it goes, 10 seconds stands for MMS short clips, so open the lens and move the joystick down to select Video, then click Settings. Move the joystick to right till Shoot mode press it then select High quality video instead of For picture message, then go to Settings again and move the joystick to Save to from which choose Memory Stick. Now your camera will capture the video till your memory stick gets full. You can however record/save on the internal memory but I suggest leaving it to SMS's, MMS, still shots and any recieved files.

Yes I'm using my device now with the updated/latest firmware. As for warnings and disagreements about updating the firmware in this forum are about updating to SE W800i firmware not SE K750i firmware. So if you own SE K750i updated it to latest SE K750i firmware which is R1N035 through sonyericsson web site. It's bug-free you just misunderstood the situation as the warnings are aimed for updating to firmware ment to be for W800i but not aimed for/ment to be for K750i.

Thnx @DoUL ! 4 ur reply but i need one more doubt to be cleared ! and that's regarding the firmware !

On the SE website, it's written that u can update the firmware of the present K750i's into a better one from its website. The improvement includes the speakerphone to be even louder (i really need that !). Now, many in this website's forum are complaining that it has bugs n needs to be done at ur own risk.
Y would SE ever release a buggy firmware?

Did u/anyone try changing ur firmware to the updated version ?

reply who encountered this situation.

Sorry man didn't get your complete question.
K750c and K750i are the same only differs in operating language and supported languages but other than that they are the same SE K750 with same design, colors, features, software and performance.

K750c stands for Chinese version of the set while K750i stands for International version. Have no complains at all about it being hard to use as its software is very straight forward and easy to learn and get used to and deal with.

Freak
No you can not change the operator logo. That was disappointed to me too but the animation quality and fastness in any theme really caught my syes.
Don't know about recent nokias but K750i is much louder and richer in melody than older nokias up to 6230i, as for the caller voice loudness it's never better and clearer.
No in stand-by mode you can only lock the keybad but you can't set a password for unlocking it.

Jawad
Already answered that.
Yes you can cut numbers in sms's. You'll find them underlined just move to them with the joystick and press more then select usexxx -where xxx refers to the number- a sub-menu will open from which you can select save number or edit/call it on the fly should you not need to save it.
As for your last question I believe it's possible and karl answered a similar question couple of days ago -maybe you'll find it in page 2 or 3-. I didn't try it myself but I think you can listen to songs using bluetooth headset.

Hello Everyone.

I recently got K750, i want to ask for few things.
Is there anyway to remove the Operator Logo, and put some logo of your own choice.

2ndly, before this set i was using Samsung Set.In which there was a very useful option that if u get some message (SMS), that includes some Telephone number or email address, there was an option, that u can cut that number and can save it, but i was disappointed that this option was not present in the Ericsson set.

Next i want to ask that is it possible to listen the music or radio using Bluetooth hand's free.

“A lot have been said about camera, mp3s, video quality, data speed, etc. That's just fine.

However, how come there are but (about 4 opinions/questions) about security issues? Does anybody among you guys care about safeguarding your privacy, videos, messages and all the information on your "Phone That Rocks?"

Ive been wondering what what's the use of all the nice features if we can not guarantee its contents/user security?

Do you think this is less of importance guys?”

What do you mean by safeguarding? Yeah sure there are applications about that can help encrypt your data on your k750i but I believe these are rather cumbersome to use, ie typing a password anytime you want to access a file. What would you like to do to secure your phone contents other then what is already available, and what wouldn’t render the phone a bore to use? (such as a secure log-on, using an eye or fingerprint scan). You gotta remember this is a phone at the end of the day, which in turn should be able to be used with the minimum of fuss, although I do see where your coming from. But, even if it were your computer stolen the majority of data is still there to be had, unless you spend your life encrypting stuff and applying passwords. So yeah, I do think security is of less importance (unless your into international espionage) when compared to actual phone features. But, I doubt you’re the only one worrying about security so expect to see the appropriate java applications rolling out soon.

The moral of the story is backup, backup and finally backup if the data is of any importance to you.

Been 2 months now! WOW what a great little phone. I have no reservations in recommending this 'baby' to anyone. I am a wired 'freak' and travel internationaly extensively. This phone handles all my needs, from appointments, memo's, tasks, alarms, bluetooth, email etc. Being in an industry where I need access at all times to a camera, this phone has proved itself time and time again. What great quality overall.

It's of no use to upgrade to W800i firmware if you own K750i. In fact I find it not only pointlesst but will not improve the performance yet will void the warranty and lessen the device capabilities as well.
The main differences between the K750i and W800i are 4, 3 of which are hardware-based and 1 in the software. For the hardware it differs in:
1- The color
2- The layout of the camera in the back-end
3- The front keys are just differnt -though I can't tell which is better cause I didn't try W800i-.
As for the software change, W800i only gives you the option to play the media player and listen to your songs with/while the device is switched of as a phone. But let me remind you that SE K750i is a cellular phone at the 1st place, so if your point is closing the phone and just listen to songs then I suggest you save the money and buy mp3 player. Summing it up: W800i is the twin of K750i, both have the same features, quality, BATTERY CAPACITY -stand by,talking time and music playing time- and performance with only different layout and color.
And BTW, K750i and W800i both have the same version of media player program so the songs quality ARE THE SAME in both of them, but if you think that closing the phone will save some power for more playing time that won't be correct unless you used to leave your bluetooth opened all the time other than that leaving the phone opened won't use that much power as long as it's in the stand by mode.
Hope this clears it out.

selphie
This phone supports up to 4 GB's but nowadays the max capacity that is availaable for stick Due Pro -the one the phones supports- is 2 GB's, so you can upgrade to 128,256,512,1G or 2G bytes just depends on how fat your wallet is :P

marvin joss
Well it depends on the mp3 quality itself but if you mean the loudness of it I believe the K700i loud speaker is slighty louder than K750i one but not that much of a difference till you get the latest firmware which is R1N035 which boosts the loudness of the outer speaker to surpass K700i one.

As for upgrading firmware issue I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to upgrade to K750i one not the W800i one for not to void the warranty and not to lose the Shortcut key and it DO fix all the problems you may encounter with your device + raising the camera quality which ends having more perfected shots especially if taking at dark places & raising the reception capability beyond avg. quality.
