Is there any way to emulate FM antenna without the headphones cord in order to hear radio on a bluetooth headset? In a city area FM signal should be good enough to be received without that headphone cord.
The included earphones are useless in movement, they will fall out of your ear on every head/face gesture !!! Change the original earphones with an regular jack adaptor and another headphones and you'll get a fabulous sound !
for me this phone is the best... its so good.... nice pics at day light even more at night... i recommend to all cell phone fanatics to buy like this phone... i also prefer k810i....
I have had this for one full year now and I have no complaints so far...I guess this is still on top in the "feature/price" ratio (given this was released 2 yrs back)...wonder why the K series isn't available from any major carrier in US!!!!
i just paid $80 to flsh my phone software! can any suggest a ite wherei can go n read up about flashing the k800i so as i can do it myself next time
like i said guys.....the K800i is the best 3MP camara phone on the market and in my opinion it even rivals some 5MP camara phones because of its awesom flash BUT the phone quality itself isnt the best. SO if you are intending to buy a camara phone, the K800i is the phone to go!
oh! and about the music, the phone sound quality is poor when compared to other phones and OBVIOUSLY when you plug in the earphones you are going 2 get good sound but that al depends on the quality of the earphones! if you plug good earphones into any phone you get a good result.
if you a nokia fan and thinking of crossing over (eg. going from any Nseries/Eseries - symbian OS phone 2 a sony - without an OS btw!), think very hard because you could regret the decision but hey its your choice =)
K800i is best Phone and Camera phone i see
at all, its great.
and sound not high but clear
and best mp3 sound when use headset
and about how much time to put it for charging
about 1 hour to get full charge
if any one need camera and phone get it it the best.
that's really understandable honey ^^ .you just have to use the phone and get use to it.i was a former nokia user and it really takes time to finally get use to my k800 but its great.
I love sony ericsson k800i
But i want to know how much time do you have to put it for charging in normal time when the battery is finished ??????
Sony erricson software seems really terrible and unstable. By the way are mother boards available for this phone ??
Can anyone please tell me why all k800i an other sony ericson phone will die after a few months of usage ??
Is there anyway to fix a dead k800i ? Mine is dead now and flashing didn t help. I did love this phn so much and i am missing it alot.
howzit guys.....you prob know all about the k800i by now because it has been on the market for a while now..haha..but ill add my 2 cents anyway!
iv had lots of problems with this phone, just 2 name a few would be the joystick, the BUTTONS, the loud speaker is cheap, and the software crashes!
i know atleast 5 people with this phone and they all have experienced the same problems. if you are a music lover like me i would NOT advise this phone as the loud speaker isnt very loud (when compared 2 any nokia)and when you turn the speaker on full blast it sounds very tinny and very fuzzy.
like most people i like 2 run more than one java app at once (eg. MXIT and a game OR an internet browser and multi task) but with the k800i you are very limited when it comes 2 multi tasking and unlike nokias most sony ericssons dont run with an OS. in otherwords doesnt multi task very well.
there are also alot of problems when it comes 2 system software but that can easily be sorted by a software upgrade.
lastly i would like 2 comment on the buttons and the joystick. the joystick is already cheap when you buy the phone and i see that there are some people in this chat that have already experienced the same problem. after about 4-5 (max) months of everyday use the joystick starts 2 "click itself" and push select randomly and it doesnt respond or work properly (it also becomes very loose). this is a major downfall 2 all sony ericsson models with joysticks. unfortunately the same goes for the buttons which eventually (after about a year of constant everyday use) bomb out and stop working. THIS GETS EXTREMELY ANNOYING AS IT HINDERS ANY ATTEMPT AT TYPING.
there is HOWEVER an up side 2 this phone and that is the AWESOME camara and flash quality!! if you are into pictures or just love to take random pictures of your friends doing crazy things then this is the phone 2 go! (in its price range of course - its the best 3MP camara phone on the market by far)
over all i would not recomend this phone. if you are looking for the best music, camara, features,OS - multi tasking and stability - go nokia Nseries, i know the price ramge might be a little more but its worth it =)
im extremely fussy when it comes 2 phones because my phone never leaves my side. when ever i wanna buy a new phone i come 2 a place like this and read what ppls opinions are, and it really helps! so my last piece of advice is 2 research and listen 2 people that have had the phone for longer than 3 months (never take advice from a shop sales person unless they seriously know their stuff, 95% of the time they dont know what they are talking about and are just reading from the pamflet, or they are getting paid for selling you a certain brand etc.) i hope i helped =)
Hello K800i users.
I am the new one
I had K750 previously. I loved the megabass option in the equalizer settings in it.
but it is missing in K800i.
Please help How can i Have it because i loved it.
i got this fone just before christmas and it is fab! i do not know how many times i have dropped it but it is stil got no scratches. the camera on it is got too and the signal! i would reccomend this phone to anyone not sure about buyin it! my favourite fone so far
mervin: mate the k800i is a brilliant phone tho your concern about the joystick is understandable but just don't be roough with the phone and it'll be fine, i personally use the K850i now and its and awesome phone. peace
i was wondering if anyone knows if the k800 is wifi enabled, only a department in my school is working on setting up our network so we can do research without clogging up the desktops
From my opinion, K750 cam pics are more clearer than K800i. The image gets too digital when it's get zoomed. Can anyone tell me how to off the red flash light for shooting scenes like Auto and others? The only shooting scenes that allows you to take without the red flash light would only be the landscape view. It's pretty annoying when the red flash light comes out every now and then.
