i have a sony memory stick 1gb and i must know a phone lock to format the memory stick.the code isn t 0000 and i don t know which is the code hellppp
A very good phone :]
It's pretty heavy though but it works perfectly. It has everything I need from a phone, plus a fantastic camera!!
To those interested in this phone or other SE phones with joysticks: if possible try to avoid pressing the joystick too hard. like on the menu screen use the numbers 1,2...to # to navigate. T9 is the dictionary for english.
This phone plays WMA, but this page says only Mp4/mp3/aac .......!?!?
There is now 2GB M2 from Sandisk(not Sony) and k800 can support it.
i just bought this set like 20 days ago...really a gud set and i no more need 2 carry a digital camera...sound quality is gud..at first i thought of having w850i..but i don really hear to music..its flash is really gud and takes a stil picture of a fan with 3 blades..i use 1 gb memory and its working fine...u can go for this set and if u hav any enquery abt the set u can mail me...or ad me...nayeem
my only bad comment about this phone is the joystick....
this has always been a problem for sony ericsson that they cant improve their joystisk quality to ensure all their phone that equiqed with joystick can be better....that's all...while good comments....everything from design to features and batery life is good and satisfying...
Had this phone for almost seven months and have no major complaints so far. The only problem maybe the joystick which SE phone's common problem. Sometimes, when playing games the fone hangs but other than that it is ok specially the camera.:-)
what's the latest software ..i now have:
what improvements does the next (if any) software have over this
thanks in advance
bad boy phone shame about the camera it should of had optical zoom.
RDS is a service some radios ude to send info about the current program/show or wich song that is being played: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RBDS
One correction by the way, K800 does not support TrackID it is avaiable in K810 or using softwaremods.
i really like the K800 but after reading sum of the reviews about the joystick i'm not to sure anymore. My knowledge on fones is a bit warped and for this reason i am looking for a user friendly fone. Hope there is sum1 out there that can advise me. If there is anyone that can explain what T9 means i wud appreciate it. Naz (South Africa)
i have had the k700i for about a year and a half now, and i would like to move up. thing is i do not understand the significance of some of the new features. someone please explain to me about WLAN, EDGE, HSCSD, AND 3G should affect my choice in choosing the next handset. am eyeing the k800, and if i could get some explanations it would really help
Great Phone, Have no big complaints other than saying that the joystick isnt very fluid, i find it unresponsive many times, other than that good phone overall.
@victor - a previous poster has referred to sony documentation and quotes that the phone can take in maximum 8GB memory card, so the 1gb you want to add shouldnt be a problem.
i updated my software with SEUS( i have cid 52 now ) ,HOW CAN I GET to my previous software or how i debrand it
K800i can hold up to 8 gig M2 memory.
ref: SE Knowledge base
can someone tell me what is the max card which can be put in the slot? thank you
Got the K800i about 2 weeks ago. Priced at 1,115 dirhams. Added 1 Gig M2 memory (220 dirhams).
Positives - Easy to use, easy to configure (phone asks you if you want to transfer numbers from SIM card to phone, etc), good pictures (autofocus, flash) and the sound is good.
Negatives - battery life is about 2 to 3 days (had better mileage with other phones), unable to sync the phone to my pc using the official SE software while the "My Phone Explorer 1.6" software did it flawlessly.
Though the software is not that "customizable" unlike motorola and nokia, the good thing is that the phone generally functions well on how it was designed for.
Am happy with the phone and posted to say Thanks to all who posted with first hand info and to GSMArena for the info on the units (the shootouts, specs) which made it easier for me to select what I particularly need.
