ok the k800 is an excellent fone however u only really think it is excellent if u have not had any other sony ericsson model above, and including the k750i..although the k800 is a excellent fone you will be extremely disapointed if u have had any of the previous models. Because you cannot do basic things such as on the previous sony ericssons you ccould use the flash as a light without having to use the camera u cannot do this on this fone. Also sound play back is poor it is nowhere as near as good as the other sony ericssons even the ones without the walkman feature! The fone in general is a good fone, as i said b4,but i would not chose it over any of the previous models(down 2 the k750i) as the onli advantage this fone has is a better camera.I believe that sony ericsson now needs to produce a walkman fone with a 3 megapixel camera!
i have a question is this phone broadband i really want to buy one am stuck between the choice of this one and k790 which is the better
ive been using this phone for about 2 months, camera is good , sounds is ok, the only problem is the joystick it stuck everytime i scroll .
I just bought the phone...From Nokia to Ericsson, it's easy to adjust. Pictures are like from Digital cameras already. It's like buying a phone with a Digital Camera on it plus you can download more songs/mp3 w/ radio.
huh~~~~!!!! i very saD My K 800.... fall into the water.... i very scared.....will broken or not? can it repair?
Hi,i sold my N70 & bought this K800i,the 3.2MP camera & flash is much better than 2MP camera of the N70.I wanted to put video songs in my K800i in MP4 or 3GP format but after putting them, the mobile either becomes very slow or hangs, whereas N70 used to work fine. Can anybody pls suggest a correct technique and a converter software for PC of putting video songs in K800i?
Dont buy this phone thinking it will be as good as a cybershot. I did... WRONG. The design of the phone was good. I too was a long time nokia user, and the SE interface was hard to get used to but I did eventually and then went back to my nokia only to have to get used to that again. It was easy enough to use and I liked the interface but it wasnt "feature *packed*" like all my nokias have been and Im big on pointless features I might never use much because I find them fun to play around with. When I made the switch I was told Id never go back to Nokias because the SE interface is much better and easy to use - I didnt find it better. It was easy but I find Nokias easy too. So back to Nokias for me and will never stray again now that Ive had a go of the SE and got it out of my system.
Do all the New Sony erricson phones support 4GB M2 cards ?
has Sony made 4GB M2 cards ?
It took some time to adjust from being a longtime Nokia user to a Sony Ericsson one but the adjustment is all worth it. An amazing phone with amazing features.
the flash on this phone is a real flash module used in early sony cameras. this is a strobe flash not a LED flash so it's impossible to shoot videos at night. anyway do you shoot videos at night with digital cameras?
i had as710 and a w810 and recently purchased a the k800, what i loved about my other two se was the really bright light i could use when shooting video at night, i cant find it on the k800. does anybody know if the k800 has this light and i just cant find it? i shoot at night alot, really need it and may return the phone if it doesnt have one. oh ya, an night mode, doesnt work AT ALL!!! the screen is just black.
can anyone tell me if i can use the image stabilizer function without using flash?thx
all i can say is that this phone is great, nicer quality of audio than n93i. because it has 74 channels unlike n93i having 64 channels only,
but there's one thing i want about n93i. it contains WLAN(Wi-Fi 802.11b/g) that allows me to use the internet in some places without using wires, WLAN is a wireless local area network, which is the linking of two or more computers without using wires.
more info about WLAN:
"WLAN utilizes spread-spectrum or OFDM (802.11a) modulation technology based on radio waves to enable communication between devices in a limited area, also known as the basic service set. This gives users the mobility to move around within a broad coverage area and still be connected to the network.
For the home user, wireless has become popular due to ease of installation, and location freedom with the gaining popularity of laptops. Public businesses such as coffee shops or malls have begun to offer wireless access to their customers; some are even provided as a free service. Large wireless network projects are being put up in many major cities." -wikipedia
i hope that Sony ericsson would be able to utilize this feature in to their phones..
one more thing before i forget... samsung have this phone "F700" it has 5 MP, 2592х1944 pixels, autofocus, flash, video; secondary videocall camera... "so far, is the best camera resolution ever"
i am using N70 right now...i don know how this phone work but..overall i am very please with my phone...just that u need to recharge the phone once every 2days. N70 is a bit heavy but still manageable... i think u should go to the shop and try out both phones..but camera wise... this phone is better with higher pixels..
I have this mobile phone for almost a month now, i really have no reason to return it, my firmware is R1ED001 and it is very stable, i had no problems whatsoever and im very happy, camdriver really it's a pitty as it records only at 15fps but there are camdrivers mods outhere that makes video recording available at 30fps, dispite few bugs maybe they will be improved in the future. Has lots of usefull features, you can record a voice call while you are calling directly to the music folder, you can configure 5 different allarms you can watch video movies at 25-30 fps with very very crisp and clear quality using M3 software... you can add tasks, notes, and code memo's with password protection. it's fast, it's pretty, and it's bit heavy as i like :) i like bit heavy electronic stuff, makes me think they're really good. housing is made from nice soft material also, im very happy i have to say. FM radio is very cool... and now for the mp3 player, some people say that sound sucks, but that is just not true, music player seems a lot like walkman mobiles, but buy yourself a 3.5mm adapter and connect it with a good pair of headphones and you will be stumbled with the sound quality, no hiss, crisp trebles and sufficient bass with manual enchancements EQ available...has better sound than WS-320m from olympus with same headphones
9/10 :) very happy
you can easily copy musics from your PC to your k800i via DCU-cable, when connecting to the computer windows asks you for the drivers , you must insert CD to install the drivers whether you are in phone mode or file transfer mode... note that file transfer mode is faster, then use windows explorer, drag and copy
K800i is a very good phone as compared to N73i I used N73i Internet Edition for a week and gave it back and brought K800i The N73i is so very slow and ofcourse the Camera S**** big time Ii takes an hour to take a snap. Other than the good speakers & big display It has nothing usefull. No Recurrent Alarm, Voice quality bad during calls. K800i - good camera, good voice, fast, What else do you want...
