I like taking pictures with my friends through my k750i and I can say that its pictures is excellent indeed!!
K800i will surely be my next phone!
Wow! I love this phone! Can't wait to have one!!
I both like k800i and n80. I guess n80's WiFi and UpnP aren't that too important for me and perhaps I will not be able to make use of it.
Though n80 features higher resolution display, I am still convinced that k800's resolution is bright and crisp enough.
I guess I'm into this phone! :D
extra features on the n80 which k800 doesn't have are:
UPnP technology (stream to tv/stereo)
hi-res screen - 352 x 416 pixels
S60 3rd edition OS
Latest html/xhtml browser
Built in hands-free
To no name...
It depends on your priorities. The K800 will do the things that are written on the box. The N80 can do the same things as the K800, though not as well when it comes to photographing, but because itīs a smart phone it can also be customized quite freely. And it has got wi-fi and UpNp and these hi-tech thingies...
As I said, the choice depends on your needs.
This is the 2006 phone to get...i mean it has everything. THe SE k750i was awesome but this phone is taking it to the next step. Cannot wait until this phone releases! Trust me you guys ive compared this phone with alot of others and that this is THE phone...so im going to wait to get it !
soz ppl posted twice by pressing refresh, i sound more irate than i am as this is on twice. i really am not double annoyed as it seems!!!
but ye if i thought n80 was better i would def get it but i know i have an inherant hatred of nokia, I would either choose samsung or SE as these are the phones i get on with best. there nice calm, and zen like :)
Listeeeenn! I don't need anyone patronising me, telling me which phone i should go for, who would know that better than me? Why are we all comparing techi features anyway? Who is the average phone user: the average guy/gal in the street. I'm not a tech nerd i go by my own experience. I have 3 kids so a pic phone IS important to me, I want crystal clarity on my pics n videos, why? because i always have my handset handy when i want to take a pic/vid NOT my dig camera, whoever argued the point aboout using ur dig camera for great photos not ur phone, clearly didnt understand the thinking behind the whole integrated camera bit: it is there because its convenient and very much needed for a lot of consumers.
PLS one more time do not patronise me, i dunno why nokia losers come on here ramming it down our throats how great THEY think nokia's are; wot do i care what they think I'm a mom first a foremost symbian (pretentious) bla bla bla is the last thing on my mind when i choose a phone i would say that thay type of feature is for that sad loser in class who never had any mates or the type to think that js bcos their phone has this slow function it actually means something; guess wot: IT DOESN'T! If it does f**k all for me why would i give a second damn about it? it's all relative, the feature on the phone is only important if it is important to you, i dont need to pose in front of my friends down the pub with my mobile i'll leave that to you spotty male geaks. so quit harping on about nokias this is a SE review section. If i wanted to know how much nokia's suck i would go to the nokia bit. you would never actually find me there as all past experiences with nokia have been distasteful my last 3 i tried 6230, 6680, n70 : crap, crap ,crap look crap are crap. dont presume to tell me which phone is better i will decide that for myself, if it better for me and my uses, then it IS the better phone!!!!! supply n demand, pure n simple.
SE K800 is th phone in the market write now!!
Nokia SUX!!!! They think that they are the best but they're not!!!
Camera is the best and the battery is good too. I think that i'll buy this phone
it looks very very very good, however the only problem is that SE are taking their sweet ass time to release it- i rang and they said end of june but probably later.
ARGH its just not fair. I need a mobile now, not in 4 months
Come on guys, stop comparing between N80 and K800, these two baby belongs to different catergory. Instead we should compare N80 with other smartphone or PPC. so the closest rival will be none than other P990. P990 got all in a phone, QWERT keyboard, wifi, 3g, touchscreen, AUTO-FOCUS on camera. nokia should take note on that. Now N80, all the same but loses to touchscreen, smaller screen, poorer camera even with 3.2mp. Then for K800 the rival should be samsung Z710 and for nokia 6280 can be also rival since all provide the same features. There u have it, once again nokia loses to some extend. I used n6630, SE P910 and now is K750 and my friend uses 6280. CAnnot admit SE will hand nokia a beatdown if SE think of implement Symbian in their models....
Dearest Azlan and all you other highly honoured SE fanatics here...
To begin with, I didnīt start comparing the K800 with the N80. I am sure that you can check this by going a few pages backwards in the forum...
I am not here to start an argument or something. There is a few things I would like to comment since you have so eagerly sacrifised your time to so aggressively critisice everything I have stated earlier.
About the "you canīt compare N80 and K800 because K800 is non-symbian"-discussion:
Who says you canīt compare them? Ordinary people donīt care if itīs Symbian or if it has got a shine "CyberShot" logo on itīs back.
Everyone chooses themselves which of these fine devices suits them the best. I am sure that many young (and rich) and why not older people will find the K800 a nice choice. This is the case only if they donīt own a real camera, as the only real reason to buy this device is the camera. Itīs a good camera (in mobile standards). In the real camera world though, it doesnīt really stand a chance. But in the world of mobile phones, it might just be the best camera phone made so far... NOTE, so far, there will always come a better one...
Some people again will choose the N80. Businessmen and other people who require a handset which can be considered more than just a toy.
And some people might choose one of the Samsung models... The choices are many.
My point is, can anyone honestly say that one phone is better than an other? For example, the much argued couple; N80 and K800 are strong in totally different aspects... But they can always be compared, because they are both mobile-phones, and thatīs what this forum is about right?
Then a couple of other points:
-72 channels doesnīt mean a thing. I am currently using a phone that has got 64 channels, but the thing is; you never use polyphonic tones, so it doesnīt make a difference how many channels it has got. I use MP3-songs as ringtone instead...
-You canīt judge a phones performance by the way it looks.
-About "all Nokia phones have issues": It doesnīt matter which brand you use; if the phone and firmware are brand new, then the phone will most likely have issues. Thatīs why people prefer firmware updates. You get it? And if that doesnīt help, then go whine to closest care center...
My pals SE has got some serious issues and so did my Nokia before i upgraded the firmware...
To San and ArchieBOld and people like they... Thanks, itīs nice that I am not the only one whoīs trying to keep this most interesting discussion on somewhat civilized levels.
And Azlan, I would apreciate if you would concentrate your energic lust of discussion in the phones and not on trolling my statements.
Thank you. Now Iīm tired, good night.
72 channels? it's perfect! and 3,2MP? -wow! and radio, and bluethooth,and.... great!
Comparing N80 to Sony K800:
Bassically here is a crude list of differences. Cannot actually compare phones if they are not out already!
SE K800 is lightly taller that N80, but it is also thinner and less wide.
SE K800 does not have WiFi connection, and does not have EDGE.
In respect to camera, SE K800 has the same megapixels, but it has autofocus and also is a CyberShot camera.
Battery life the SE K800 destroys the N80.
The difference in price is that the N80 will be slightly more expensive than the SE K800.
The rest of the phone is quite similar...
The choice is hard, but I would stick with the N80 because of the OS it is going to be using. However, people might choose SE K800 because of its own OS.
Hope this was useful!
QCIF video recording is stupid on K800 bcoz it has a great QVGA screen, when you watch videos captured by it on the QVGA screen it will look terribly small like S700.. the design is a copy from 3230! i bet all big time hard core SE fanatics will be disappointed about that matter!
