The grewat thing about this is that it is 3g meaning it will surley be on three. I was going to getthe n80 but prefer this one now. Not beacsue of the extra .2mp but becasue it has autofocus. Nokia has never had autofocus only fixed focus plus it has themost recent version of bluetooth, Cnat wait for this to be on 3uk.
there will not be a cybershot and walkman combo =) .. unfortunately, se decided to seperate the premium camera phones and the walkman phones as a marketing move ..crap huh?
the camera shutter 4 this phone looks like sony cyber-chot T-series to me...
I just hope SE finally fixed the SLOOOOOWNESS problem with SMS. It started since my T68i and is still slow with my W800i !!! NOT HAPPY!
Hi all. I haven't seen a mobile phone like this. Its features are fantastic, specially its amazing camera. I'll stay till it be available for buying.
the stupid joystick is back...SE should've just used a d-pad, like d 1 in W810..
this is the must get phone of the year!
it simply has evrything!
one qn - will the earphn adaptor frm the w800i work with this phn or the k790?
i liked NOKIA N80 because it has walkman which is awesome so you dont have to carry IPod anymore. my dream phone is...phone+camera+music. i'm so tired to carry 3 machine with me.
now you can get cyber-short+walkman, waiting for combination cyber-short+walkman+micro-playstation in one gadget phone.
can somebody tell me how much is the cost for this phone..i am really wants to have it..(in RM)
I stick wif K610 for 3G usage, if ppl get this phone for the camera i suggest get a real camera. It worth it that way.
damn agree with you guys...k800 is so freaking ugly man...definitely wouldnt consider buyin this phone
what a phone! first sony made a walkman...now they make a cybershot...and next walkman and cybershot combination...ill wait for the combo pack... :)
No quad-band, thanks for alienating all of North America from your flagship phone AGAIN.
Let me start by Quoting CNET news!
"The K800 is designed to operate on a UMTS wireless network and offer "Picture Blogging" capability, which allows users to create and update personal blogs directly from the phone via Google's Blogger.com service. The K790 has the same features but is designed to operate on a tri-band EDGE network. Both phones are priced at about $355 and are scheduled for worldwide release in the second quarter of 2006."
I find that rather interesting hehe!
Secondly, about the Nokia N80 vs. K800 comments. Let me start off by agreeing to the gentelman who posted before me, that yes there is no comparison here between them. The N80 and the K800 are in a class of thier own. Yes the K800 has a better camera but for god sake, are we buying a camera with a phone or a phone with a camera! i think some people are getting confused over a pretty clear matter to me! If i wanted a superb camera i would sure as h*ll go buy a proper digital camera for that matter, which i already have, and guess what, it is a sony!
Nokia through statistics is the leader in it's industry and let us not forget why sony and ericsson became Sony Ericsson! Hey SE is a superb phone, i love it and i think they are great in every way. So do i love Moto for their success in flip phones which i like too. But nokia S60 softwares, interfase and user friendly menues along with many other features that will just prelong my thread are one of many reasons why i will stick with nokia, and i am not bias to any, hell if the SE had the same specs as the N80 and vise-versa i would go buy myself the SE phone! The fact remains that it doesn't, simply compare both phones and just see for yourself. K800 doesn't have UPnP, WiFi, S60 OS, as good resolution, as big screen and some other specs.
SE is a great cell in the end. Reliable and full of great features. Good job SE never fail to impress.
what is with the ignorant comments...
i don't see where any of you can compare the n80 so directly to the k800. they are obviously in a different class (and price range for that mater). the mere fact that the k800 does not have wifi, should be sure sign that the k800 is not targeting that particular market (which is still a fairly small one, at best).
both nokia and se have their strengths and weaknesses. it is obvious that se (alongside their their growing partnership with sony's technologies) has superior audio/visual capabilities. however, nokia is far better at perfecting the basic functions of a cellphone.
as for the gentlemen who bashed the k series for sharing similarities (k700-k750-k800), you have no clue what you're talking about.
mabye you should go bash lambougini for making cars that looks alike, or ferrari, or mercedes..
