@Dave and anonymous, thanks for the feedback! I have ordered this phone and am anxiously awaiting its arrival =]
Motorka: Re stopping sound of camera shot: In phone mode, hold down the # key for a second or so to put the phone into silent mode. Afterwards, hold it down again to reactivate sounds.
BRILLIANT phone! Got mine yesterday. I LOVE SE.
this rocks..just wanna check, how much sms can this baby take? my W800i can only keep 130max...
does the key pad catches finger print easily?
and does the k810 supports flash themes like tthose in the walkman phones (eg citybeat)
I need your help, god the flash and red led when taking pictures in too bright. I literally get headaches trying when taking pictures. How to I turn off the red led. I can only turn off the flash.
is the 6GB memory card also compatible with this phone? i was planing to buy 4GB or 6GB if it's compatible
if you have at&t i wont work as good as it does with t-mobile...because at&t runs on 850 mhz band and tmobile runs on 900 mhz band and this phone was built in 900 mhz band..so it works perfect with t-mobile...i wuold recommend cause the feautures..n camera i bought one today.
Have you been taking a lot of pictures? because the xenon flash uses a lot of power...the battery on this phone is by far the best i have ever had!
phone is nice n photo also distinct, but a bit disappointed about battery life is very short.
I just got the k810 and I was worried about the reception as well...I live in CA and the reception is actually better than on my SLVR L7(Quad Band) Although it does have more trouble in rural areas but in metro areas its almost 4-5 bars ALWAYS! SE Rocks! :) I carry a VZW phone with me too and it has always been equal or better(usually is) than my SLVR but my k810 beats out the VZW phone at least 50% of the time! i had no idea that was even possible considering how poor at&t is compared to vzw in my area...
i'm looking for 3G phone with a great picture, video and sound...can someone suggest to me?
hey i am umair this a awsame phone i have used it . its camera is really cybershot very good phone
If you are a customer using this phone in the US, how has your experience been using it with AT&T? Also with T-Mobile. Is there a reason to narrow my search to Quad-band phones? Thanks.
Am I dreaming or what?
Alcatel OT 300 is ranked higher than SE K810i!
Hehehe, that's so funny! :)))))))
I think there is only 1 way to turn off the sound: go on 'Settings'-> 'Sounds & alerts'-> 'Silen mode' and switch it to 'Off'. That will turn off all sounds including camera sound.
I think that's it.
can i ask you something?
Where are you from?
So i bought the phone! Love it! No problems so far. Joystick is ok. The sound is better than on K800...I only have o question. How to turn off the sound that is made when taking a picture...?
Dantheman - Nice! Thanks for the info! Guess I gotta shop around for a memory card soon then! Good to know though!
Waylan - I'm buying from CellWorldCo(dot)com. It's the cheapest local place I could find that would give me a discount for signing onto a new contract, as I'm a Bell customer at the moment. But finding the phone on eBay was maybe $40~$80 cheaper, but then shipping/taxes would make up for that, and I wouldn't get a discount on the phone.
k810i phone camara function is a best but music system and music handsfree is bed. i do not like this phone.walkman series is a best. i like w 850i is a best phone.
Well, I finally put a $100 deposit down on this phone and should have it in my hands on Wednesday (08/22/07).
- I'm gonna end up paying about $180 Canadian after tax ($420 retail -$100 deposit -$160 on a 3yr contract). I live in Vancouver, BC.
- I have a Sony DSC-T5 (5MP digi-cam), but don't feel like carrying it around all the time, and figured the 3MP phone will be a fine replacement.
- I was choosing between either the SE K800, SE K810, or the Samsung u600.
==From my own research==
- SE.K800 is a little bulky for me, and there were some minor Joystick problems
- SE.K810 has a longer battery life, and updated software, and updated/slim body casing despite being the "same" as the SE.K800.
- Samsung.U600 has superior video recording quality over the SE.K800/K810, but same picture quality.
- Samsung.U600 has horrible battery life (must recharge every 1.5~2 days)
**This is my opinion through my own research/reading up on reviews and posts
NoS - you reall have to be subjective on the interweb. Reviews can be false, companies can bully websites into giving products high reviews or else cut them off from corporate sponsorship or demo-units (game review sites get this kind of bullying from companies all the time). As far as calling names on the internet, it just goes to show your maturity. Try putting "In my opinion...." into your posts, and I'm sure you wont get flamed as much.
I'm sure the SE.K800 may be a good handset, but the bulky/buldging casing (camera lense) was a huge turn-off for me, hense why I decided to get the K810. As far as the circular buttons go, I'll get used to it after a week or so. I didn't bother with the Samsung.U600 as soon as I heard/read the battery-life was a measely 1.5days. I'm not much concerned about the loudness of the K810 as my currently phone is usually set to vibrate most of the time and only turned on as my secondary alarm-clock when I goto bed. I've got my 80gig iPod as my Jukebox, so I'll only put ringtone MP3s onto the phone anyways, so music use won't be much of an issue with me also.
Well, I don't even have the phone yet, but I'm stoked. I'll probably end up posting my initial thoughts once I get the phone, and then again a little after the "new toy excitement" feeling wears off. Feel free to ask me questions about the phone, and I'll try to answer as best as I can. I believe I'll be getting a 512M M2 card, so don't ask me 'will it hold a 2gb/4gb memory card?'.
