N95 sucks, you know why?
1. constantly needs charging
2. hard to ... moreN95 sales says different
N95 needs charging because IT DOES SO MUCH. Daily? i dont think so.
firmware updates are a good thing. nokia are far more loyal to the N95 than SE are to the k850. SE turned their back on k850 while Nokia have only just released the final update for the N95.
and NO DANI, your k850 is not reliable. you've had to take it back and i know PLENTY others who have had to also.
also for $249? ha get an N95.
also dani, competition is a good thing. gives the consumer more choice.
mehedi, 20 Jan 2009so is there any better phone like this for only 249$?Nope....
nick, 20 Jan 2009see while you think this is a great phone, for the same price, you can get a far better phone.... moredude, we are not even talking about the price here. we are talking about QUALITY which the K850i has a lot of!
the K850i has been proven to be a great handset over and over and over again. it has been considered cellphone royalty.
i wake up for work with the alarm, turn on the radio, check my schedule, notes, to-do list, calendar, all these i do with my K850i!!!
after work i check on calls, texts, emails, MMS's listen to the radio or my MP3's, still with my K850i!!!
so how's that for multitasking and "smartphone" effect?!!!
it is a very very good phone i tell you. don't even let me start with it's superb camera (again!).
plz tell me hw can i RESET the nokia phone ...
(i need the Short code)
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970I saw my friends C902 like 1 hour ago, very nicely designed slim phone...camera is same as K850i but K850i has more camera features(Xenon Flash)
5800 it depends, do you want a touchscreen phone? then get it.
For camera + Multimedia and heavy use - K850i
For a slim camera + heavu use - C902
Shabbs, 19 Jan 2009Hi dani! i am a sony ericsson user. i have used W800i, K800i. and now i intended to buy the fa... moreThe problems you mentioned dont happen.
The camera is Night the Xenon flash is excellent, its a very bright flash, Yes the battery life on it really good.., It depends mine did restart but it depends on what kind of multitask is done(It can multitask flawlessly)
K850i beats the 6500 slide(which is boring)
I recommend K850i to you...trust me you'l love it.
nick, 20 Jan 2009see while you think this is a great phone, for the same price, you can get a far better phone.... moreStop lying to yourself.
N95 sucks, you know why?
1. constantly needs charging
2. hard to use.
3. cheapo plastic used on its covers
4. Constant firmware updates
6. Its old now and has been beaten by Innov8, and Nokia making N95 8GB(a so called 'better' improvement) N96 ? and now we have N85 to make it a 'improvement' over the N95 - My question is was N95 really that bad? forcing Nokia to make 5 'improvement' phones?
But now its beaten by the INNOV8...Congrats to Samsung!
K850i is better because its SOLID, easy to use, a quality device, reliable, excellent battery life! - Thats why were loyal to SE...they never fail to please us! They make 1 phone at 1 time which is made to be the BEST! thats why it beats the competition..becuase SE is loyal to us, so were loyal to SE..100%, They are very reliable phones iv had my K850i 7 1/2 months its still looks and works like the day i got it!
Unlike Nokia which makes a phone then a similar one which is said to be 'better improvement' then the one they already made i.e. N95 and N95 8GB is'nt that frustrating huh?!!? i would be pi**ed off if that happend. i did when i had the original N-Gage then they made the N-Gage QD i was like grrrrrrrrrrr!
Its no wonder you Nokia fans come crying to these SE forums. becuase of Nokia and there marketing tactics.
SE 4 LYF!
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Scrap c902..,now between k850 n 5800..if u want cam as primary usage..take k850,if u want music fone with touch ui,take 5800
Anonymous, 20 Jan 2009yeah I missed the old A200 Platform of SE. Now I own a Nokia with S60 FP 3.2 OS. A200 platform... moreYeah depends what u need, when i 15-17 years old,i'll take 2630, 19-21 take k800,now 22 years old i use smartfone..coz office viewer, wlan, browsing very2 important 4 me..i ever used s40v3,s60v3,a200 so i can feel the pros n cons of these platform,,but next month i'll buy omnia to get new winmo experience
yeah I missed the old A200 Platform of SE. Now I own a Nokia with S60 FP 3.2 OS. A200 platform is very very very simple and is very good in handling non-touch phones like in SE line-ups!!! It handles basic telephony in a breeze unlike on other mobile OS which has lots of complications... But that was back when I was in college where I was not as sophisticated as now... So I upgraded to a smartphone OS. Maybe if I'll buy an alternate phone it will be an SE again!!!
Jas11, 20 Jan 2009people should realize (as I have) that the K850i is (admittedly)a feature phone. Yes it has a ... moresee while you think this is a great phone, for the same price, you can get a far better phone.
sony ericsson never make phones to rival the competition and they havent since the k800. seriously
the k850 was up against the N95 and lost so miserably it's laughable and the c905 is going the same way. the c902 was useless. all those g series never amount to anything.
ah it's frustrating that SE can produce such useless mobiles yet have such a loyal following. they arent even reliable. WHAT GOOD ARE THEY AT ALL?!
Dani, 19 Jan 2009Right well today i have taken K850 to its limit! I did loads of multitasking on it and it fail... moreYupz,a200 multitasking very limited, but no doubt a200 power management very good, while symbian till now still suffer power management problems..n yeah..there's no different sound quality between k,g,c series with walkman fone,,their sq would be great if u use same earfone like hpm 82 85 etc..but yes..walkman come with better bundled earphone..i didn't like megabass, coz to much distortion, weak mid n treble,n i can't hear the vocal voice very well..n i still prefer manual eq setting..so if there's choice i'll take k or g series..
people should realize (as I have) that the K850i is (admittedly)a feature phone. Yes it has a lot of great features but it is not to be mistaken as a smart phone built for multitasking. though the multitasking it is capable of is respectable. you can play music or radio while you either surf, take pics, send MMS or SMS.
celladik, 19 Jan 2009Yes dani thats the exact reas0n my friend gave it up, he actually admit that k850 is a very go... moreTrue, But i hardly ever multitask on the K850i soo i dont mind - i would still keep mine..
Dani, 19 Jan 2009Right well today i have taken K850 to its limit! I did loads of multitasking on it and it fail... moreYes dani thats the exact reas0n my friend gave it up, he actually admit that k850 is a very good ph0ne but n0t for multitasking.
I bought a headset adapter for my K850i (for 3.5 mm headphones) in which I installed my Sony earphones and the sound was absolutely amazing, almost comparable to the W series!!! Radio is of course clear. Just a bit disappointing if its true that SE discontinued its production of the Sofia in favor of the bugged and xenon-less c902. Hope thay still come up with firmware upgrades for us existing users.
I must agree with one of the reviews I read about the K850i,
"The net result is a brilliant but idiosyncratic phone. When it's good, it's very, very good - the best camera phone you can buy in fact. But when it's bad it's bloody awful"
...I luckily got the very very good one!!!
