celladik, 19 Jan 2009Yes dani thats the exact reas0n my friend gave it up, he actually admit that k850 is a very go... moreTrue, But i hardly ever multitask on the K850i soo i dont mind - i would still keep mine..
Dani, 19 Jan 2009Right well today i have taken K850 to its limit! I did loads of multitasking on it and it fail... moreYes dani thats the exact reas0n my friend gave it up, he actually admit that k850 is a very good ph0ne but n0t for multitasking.
I bought a headset adapter for my K850i (for 3.5 mm headphones) in which I installed my Sony earphones and the sound was absolutely amazing, almost comparable to the W series!!! Radio is of course clear. Just a bit disappointing if its true that SE discontinued its production of the Sofia in favor of the bugged and xenon-less c902. Hope thay still come up with firmware upgrades for us existing users.
I must agree with one of the reviews I read about the K850i,
"The net result is a brilliant but idiosyncratic phone. When it's good, it's very, very good - the best camera phone you can buy in fact. But when it's bad it's bloody awful"
...I luckily got the very very good one!!!
Dani, 17 Jan 2009I was just speaking to my neighbour like 1 hour ago i was with his son just chillin in the are... moreHi dani! i am a sony ericsson user. i have used W800i, K800i. and now i intended to buy the famous se k850i. i need an advice suggestion watever u may say. first of all, i saw the comments. it says while playing games and listening music on loudspeaker and doing another thing does the phone gets restarted? 2nd of all does it really have better battery life? 3rd of all while taking pictures during night does the xenon flash makes the picture black? and last of all though i am not a nokia user i am also liking Nokia 6500 slide. its looks nice n smart as K850. though nothing can be compared to SE. wheich one shall i buy. pleas tell me that really the xenon flash makes the pic black or hazy watever u say? please DAni give me reply. my email id email@example.com.
I have a K850i now for about 8 days and I've something to say:
It is an amazing phone and battery is now at 68%. Pictures are sharp, clean and great.
My co-worker bought a N95 8gb in the same time I've bought my k850 and he's in trouble now because he had to charger it five times.
And we've compared our cam's experience, and he admits K850 is far supperior.
Right well today i have taken K850 to its limit! I did loads of multitasking on it and it failed miserably...
I was a Playing a Game, Listening to Music on the loudspeaker - I minimized those 2 and then went to the Main Menu.....and then it RESTARTED!
I did the same again..Had a game opened, Music Player running, went to the Main Menu but this time i entered Messaging..........then it restarted! Tried to enter the camera but then it just went onto some 'White screen' of death thing and had to switch it on and off myself.....
All that has drained the battery by 50% ...i had it on 65% before i did all that now its on 20%
So K850i for Multitasking isnt good, I'd agree with Tsepz now!
Hmm....the keypad button will difficult to press ?because my friend said when pressing long time fingers will getting pain :(....
the battery is li-polymer , possible to to change Li-ion ?
the pictures don't come out bad, you just have to know what setting to use. experiment with the different settings and also i find that instead of using 'normal' try 'best pic'. it works better.
i wont to ask you how to instol iternet to my k850.when opertor send the internet seting to me. i clic instal my phone now fail to intal.
micmut, 19 Jan 2009Can the k850 take an 8GB or 16GB memory card? Anyone help!Depends on ur firmware ver..maybe if u have the latest one it can handle 16gb..but is it true that there's 16gb m2 memory at the market right now? For me 8gb more than enough..
micmut, 19 Jan 2009Can the k850 take an 8GB or 16GB memory card? Anyone help!some say it can. they tried it up to 8gb i guess. i dont know if anyone with a 16gb.
Tsepz, 18 Jan 2009I was indeed praising it for stability, it had a few days of working so well that i thought id... moreYeah it is a phone, I think it does a good job as one, but you were getting to 'Ambitious' with it thats why it flipped, Thats what i did when i got my hands on most of the N-Series phones especially the N95 8GB i did everything on it! then the battery died!..I was like WTF! Thats when i just gave up and left as a 'Phone'
After that i dont even use K850i for Multimedia...Only camera is used It's Primary u use is as a Phone..
Dani, 18 Jan 2009What makes you say that?!? , Just a couple of weeks ago you were praising the K850 for STABILI... moreI was indeed praising it for stability, it had a few days of working so well that i thought id never want another phone THEN i got too ambitious and started multitasking more and more with it up to a point where the poor thing would totaly slow down, and the fact that its now restartd during a call makes me very nervous, it should do calls wit no prob! Its a phone for crying out loud!
Dani, 18 Jan 2009You have got to remember after SE released the A200 Platform the gap once again between Smartp... moreSE also produce symbian based smartfone,n now se also joins symbianfoundation with nokia, samsung,lg etc..but why u hate symbian? I'm not a200 haters..coz there's no wrong about a200 or s40v6..but if u compare open os tech, feature, future hardware development, etc to java based platform..that's the mistake..symbian,android build on native c language while java build on sun microedition c language..
