Im a happy S60 Nokia and Java SE user. For those of you who know me from Esato you will have seen the pics ive taken with N82, N95-8gb, my N81, N73, E90, And My K850. I like all those phones. My best mates have N95-2 and N82. Using my K850 next to those phones is cool, ive learnt that all these phones have strong and weak points. The N95 may have been revolutionary but so was the SE P800 and P910. The N95 is a brilliant feature packed device but has an average UI and user experience compared to a K850. I honestly cant decide which i like more. The K850 is a fantastic phone. I updated to R1FA035 and its been working like a machine since. Having HSDPA, 5MP cam with Xenon, a BEAUTIFUL AND CRYSTAL CLEAR CRISP display, Netfront3.4 HTML web browser etc. . .in such a nice lil package is a dream come true! The K850 poses a charm that the N95 could never have. K850 is just so compact! I love it. Offcourse i still use my N81 for Movies, YouTube and some other tasks but my K850 has become my main phone, i dont always need the symbian apps and the extra heft the N81 comes with. Ive now modded my K850! Added the W980 Acoustics and it is now seriously loud! I dnt dare put the volume higher than 60%, also added 6 new Flash Themes, put in a new Camera Driver with AMAZING results and ive changed my Music Player's layout. I now realy dont see why people are comparing N95 to K850. At the end of the day the average user will not use Symbian, or Wi-Fi so their N95 will be no different to a K850 realy, get what i mean?
Is there anyone who can help me how I can open the camera of my mom's K850? She already took it to the service center of SE but says it may take awhile for them to fix it... coz it won't open even when the camera is on which should be automatic, right? help! its a brand new phone, barely just 2 weeks... thanks!
Mr. H, 05 Nov 2008last week i buy the new 1, when i try to take the photo in my office at day time even i use fl... moreIt can get confusing when you take photo from K850 and its dark... but I discovered the reason for that is you have to manually turn on the flash and/or press the camera button longer so the picture would come out ok (not dark). I'm not sure why that is the case though, because sometimes it happens with my C902 as well. hope i answered your ? H.
UD, 04 Nov 2008I am using K 850i and have pictures...@ where ever i went.. I really rocks damn good..
Can any one tell me if it's safe to buy phone from phonesource-USA.com? Thanks!
I don't understand why people compare Nokia N95 with SE K850... They're in different classes. Non-OS phones have limitations. I use a SE K700i and find that SE software in general (newer versions are an update of mine :) ) very good, practical and somewhat natural when it comes to basic functions and file manager. Can't say much about Nokia's soft because I haven't thoroughly tested it. I sent once a song via bluetooth to a Nokia 6288 and I searched for it in Sounds, My sounds, Recieved files but I couldn't find the file, due to so many predefined folders, so I think it's not very well organised and I prefer the SE soft...
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970nokia doesnt yet have an 8mp camera, i know that, but im not that bothered since i wanna get the htc touch HD anyway. i think the innov8 is a better product and ive said that since it was released.

oliver, 04 Nov 2008my sony ericsson k850 only lasts 2days on a full charge from flat this should not be happenin... moreTry setting the brightness to 50%, which of course is quite bright, not using any animated screensavers or wallpapers, locking the keypad when not in use, and setting network to gsm only when u dont use 3G network. This extends the battery life quite a lot. Hope this helps
Dani, 04 Nov 2008Who Cares ?
N95 had all those features, and its taken Nokia 2 years to sort them all out ..... morewhat? i admit nokias altest offerings have been poor. i think the N96 is a waste of time tbh and the innov8 is far better, but cmon, the N95 is not a slow device (yes it was, but it was pretty much sorted out after a few months).
the fact they released it so long ago and yet STILL competes with offerings only just being released is amazing. who would want the k850? it was outdated a week after released.
my sony ericsson k850 only lasts 2days on a full charge from flat this should not be happening i have turned off my 3g bluetooth and all other un used features, i rarely take photos and i never play the music, i use it for txting and thats it, my friend has a n95 8gb that has only got a 250hour battery and lasts 5days and my other friend has a samsung tocco and hers lasts 7days still being a 250hour battery
why isit that my 400hour battery doesnt last half as long???
does any1 else have this issue???
im thinking off getting a samsung f400 as the battery is a 660hour battery and should prove its self quite well
nick, 04 Nov 2008it was a revolutionary device. name the last revolutionary device sony ericsson ever offered?
... moreWho Cares ?
N95 had all those features, and its taken Nokia 2 years to sort them all out ..with 5 other phones to follow....
it just shows N95 really IS NOT Perfect!
No Phone is Perfect, so why compare them.?
N95 had all those features but couldnt handle it
its like putting a V12 Engine a car with a not so good suspension!
Dani, 04 Nov 2008Yeah, WOW, but right now N95 isnt all that...
i wouldnt get it becuase i dont like it ........ moreit was a revolutionary device. name the last revolutionary device sony ericsson ever offered?
in fact has there ever been a sony ericsson phone which has had more features than a nokia offering?
