that top ten list is just amateur.
all networks put the k850 as "best choice for camera" purely because it says cybershot on it. find me one review that says the k850 is better than the n82
just find ONE.
Hey people, guess what???The rumours about se hecaro is true after all.The ad is already on youtube. Its gonna be the best touchscreen smartphone in the world. Can't wait!!!
Hello everyone. I'm from Bangladesh and am a proud owner of K850i Quicksilver. I bought it 19 days ago. At fist it used to restart but after updating the firmware that prob is gone. Previously I had W550i, and then the W610i. This time I went for the K850i as it had the Walkman 3 player and a lot more including the accelerometer modalities, the intuitive touch screen feeling, 5 MP camera, relative big screen, good visibility under direct sunlight and the uncommon D pad which when people see it for the first time r comprehensive but after trying it everyone is surprised by the ease of use.
I have mixed feelings about the camera. Sometimes it takes great pics while few times they r below par. There should have been a 'flash always on' option as at times the flash doesn't fire when the pic would have been better if the flash had fired. Flash is also useful when taking subjects with bright background.
I see that many owners of this phone complain about the touch screen not working to their liking. U have to understand that the screen is not actually a touch screen. U have to touch 1 of the 3 small white dots to activate the onscreen options. So a swiping upward or downward action of the tip of the finger is the way to go- which feels great especially with the vibration option on.
Now for my problems…Whenever I play a song there is a lag ie it stops for 1-2 seconds and then continues and even occurs 2-3 times in a single song. It's very irritating. This never happened with the walkman phones. Furthermore voice recording stops abruptly in less than 2 mins and when I playback, at the end of the recording the last word keeps repeating for few times like a scratched LP. When I bought it, I traded the 512mb M2 micro which came with the phone for a 1GB one. Is it because of that? Anyone else facing this problem. Pls help!!!
Yep the xenon flash is very useful, ive taken quite a lot of pics in the dark and get great light from this flash, makes dark places look like they were in broad daylight
having no xenon flash is a big no no to a phone these days. we need better phone models. i'm glad k850i has xenon flash. it's very handy and practical esp when there's not enough light.
how did you know that it's a complete reflash and not like before?
The K850 looks exactly like a digi cam at the back. Its true the video is not as great as N82, but its better than most phones, the pics as i said are fine for me, they are a lot better than the pics taken with my N81 thats for sure.
Dani , 27 Jul 2008why aint you allowed to take your sim card??cos ill rack up a huge phone bill

K850i easily replaces a Digi-Cam
infact i tricked someone and made him think K850i is a Digi-Cam and he believed me!
N82 just looks like a Phone
K850i has the vibe of a Digi-Cam and Camera is just the same and high quality pictures just like a Digi-Cam!
Tsepz, 27 Jul 2008Must say its a fantanstic phone when stable like mine. SE were on the right track when making ... moreyeah the k850 is a very nice looking phone, the menus look great etc etc but the phone totally misses the point
it is a cameraphone and the camera is where it fails! the lens is too small, the photos are too washed out and the video res isnt good enough. basically you could not replace this phone with your real digi camera unlike the N82.
daniel, 26 Jul 2008hi do u guys get problem with it like it turn it self off for no reason??? can u fix that?have you tried taking the battery out? Otherwise you might have a virus, so you might need to master reset your phone.
Must say its a fantanstic phone when stable like mine. SE were on the right track when making this phone, all its missing is wifi, an os, and 3.5mm jack it would have bn perfect with the above, and it needs sum work here and there on the camera and it would be excellent, all in all a nice device. Dani what firmware were you on when it died?
