i dnt see why i should explain the same point over and over again.
my n95 doesnt take 6 minutes to start up, this was just an exaggeration to express the fact that it takes longer to start up than a normal phone would.
in reality it takes about 1 minute.
is this okay for everyone or should i go into more detail?
maybe i should just chuck my old phone in the bin and get a new one which isnt as good.
hi everyone. i own a K850i and so far i love it. But before that, i got a Samsung G800. The G800 is fairly a good phone. With it's camera-like design and a very clear slick screen..others may think you're using a digital camera instead of a mobile phone. the design is cool and the features are good. but there's only one flaw i noticed. When you use the 5MP camera and set it to automatic flash, images become dark especially on dim areas...even in night mode. The xenon flash is useless. Pictures are clearer and brighter if you turn off the flash. now the K850i, compared to the previous is one of the best phones i've ever used so far. pictures are clear and bright. haven't encountered any software glitches and it's really durable coz i've already dropped it 7 times and it still works hehehe. but don't take my word for it coz i know not all K850i phones (or any mobile phone for that matter) are built the same way. There are defectives that you guys will encounter so be very carefull in choosing. Remember that when buying a phone, get a package with WARRANTY. Sure it will cost more but i tell you guys, it's worth the pay.
Don't fight over which phone is better. Instead, please give advises that will be usefull to others and what to expect from the phones you have used before.
in my opinion k850 is a wonder full handset
and it is very easy to handle.also it picture quqlity is very good.i like the best picture option.and also it has a ho style
i came fr Philippines and i have this phone k850 right now.. i cannot send text messages .. for the call status it's ok.. i already turn off and turn on my phone and still nothing changed.. i'm really in regards with my performance for my phone.. please do help me..

budhs, 24 Jun 2008ey guys just to ask i bought this k850 2 weeks ago.. and i read ur opinions regarding this vir... moreLesson no.XX : BROD
- The BROD stands for the BLUE RING OF DEATH
- It is named after the effect it does on K850i, that is;
a. The Keypad lights up but doesn't function
b. The Monitor doesn't function
c. The Power Button lights red
d. The Phone in general is bricked
e. The Blue Ring around the Cam lights up
- No one actually knows how it just popped out, but the K850i is the only one affected, although there is one recorded case of BLOD or Blue Line of Death for the C902, which is currently believed as a rumor.
- Only one theory is being widely accepted as to the occurrence of BROD: Faulty firmware. It is hypothesized that the two previous firmwares, R1EA031 and R1EA037 are the most BRODED firmware, and some reported BROD on earlier firmwares.
- As of this moment, a new firmware has been released, R1FA035, which is believed by many as BROD-free.This hypothesis is yet to be proven. Current status of BROD over R1F: 0%
- It was also believed that BROD happens when the K850i CPU, ARM9 is being suffocated by too much use of the touch sensitive buttons, but the hypothesis is currently under debate.
- Another hypothesis is that the firmware being downloaded via update service becomes faulty due to transmission from net to pc, then pc to phone, and many suggested Clean installing (rebooting) the firmware via an SE service center.
Early Warning for Possible BROD:
- The phone lags a lot
- The phone restarts a lot
- The phone has some problems uncommon to all e.g. keypad starts to fail
Trivia:
Yours truly is under R1FA035, and haven't had any experience of BROD yet
My transitions:
(R1CA037 > R1EA031(clean inst.) > R1EA037 > R1FA037)
ey guys just to ask i bought this k850 2 weeks ago.. and i read ur opinions regarding this virus called BRO. can some1 pls tell what is this.. and how can i know if i already have this virus..what it will do harm to my unit.. is other se models experienced the same thing or exclusive to k850 only..
ok comparin fone features gettin old there all the same thing jus a matter o preference,ye n95 was good for its time.slow but good and a crapload o bugs k850is good too no fone is great n82 is good cuz of dual cpu,n81 is garbage compared to k850 and n82 cuz it uses single cpu,and n96 not even a contender wtf a 269mhrz processor wat a step back
nick, 24 Jun 2008look at the samsung G800 and look at the size to features ratio
then look at the n95's size... moreif the girl you 'fancy' found your n95 videos on youtube 'questionable' then it most probably IS!!!
and 6 minutes STARTUP for any phone is NOT NORMAL. better get that n95 of yours checked out! and pls. dont reply back saying because your phone has a GAJILLION apps on it thats why. your apps DO NOT 'load' on startup unless you specifically launch them(with a few exceptions, of course) unless your dreaming up some weird explanations in your head... or something.
and PLEASE stop it with this "my n95 is teH best phone eVaR" frankly, its getting quite old. this is a k850 forum not the n95 so really you DO NOT belong here.
but, if youre really that 'insecure' about your phone - then keep on r.0.c.k.in with ur bad self.
Samsung G810 is at par with N95 in terms of Features..
G800 isnt much
K850i has Unique features which other 5MP Phones in the Category dont have:
Xenon Flash
3 LED Lights for Video recording
Touchscreen buttons
Dual Memory Card slot
Automatic Camera Cover
Button for switching modes Photo-Video-Gallery
PSP XMB Style Gallery
^^ Unique Features of K850i very Unique features
you wont find those kind of feautures in other phones in the category only Xenon Flash...
look at the samsung G800 and look at the size to features ratio
then look at the n95's size to features ratio
the n95 is very small for its feature list!
sniper supra, 23 Jun 2008I'm not a loyal SE fan, but I just don't like sliders, and I don't like the N82 design.
N82... moreHmmmm....
the Nokia's may have the features but the design lacks in them that could i agree with slightly
when i saw the Original N95 for the first time last year i was shocked by its size didnt really like it
N95 8GB is the same
N82 is better but the Keypad just doesnt look right
None of them Perfect
Im not a Loyal SE fan either, its just i like SE Phones, i never really liked Nokia Phones when i owned a 3310 i was begging for a company like SE, and at that time i was Finland Nokia's homeland i lived there 1 year i didnt even Know about Sony Ericsson being in Nokia's Homeland! lol!
then finally in 2006 i got W850i and I was Just satisfied!!
guy below me, n82
sniper i delted them because you were peeking through them and a girl i rather fancy found my videos and questioned the videos about my phone so i decided to remove them
also i dnt like the fact anyone here can just view my videos
is that okay with you sniper or should i have consulted you prior to removing them?
Anasios, 23 Jun 2008Hello, What`s the difference between the last version of this SE,which is black and grey, and... moreThere is no difference really. It's just that the last one, quicksilver edition has its initial release under a later firmware.
Hello,
What`s the difference between the last version of this SE,which is black and grey, and the last blue and green??
Is this version with better photo quality??
Thank you very much.
nick, 23 Jun 2008no im talking about a sony ericsson forum, they all own the k850 but many say it's below par.
... moreBy the way,
what was your reason again when you deleted all your videos?
I didn't catch your explanation the last time.
^_^
nick, 23 Jun 2008no im talking about a sony ericsson forum, they all own the k850 but many say it's below par.
... moreNope. When other manufacturers start to feature their next megapixel unit, the C905 would come cheaper.
And then SE would release another 8 MP phone.
And so on and so forth.
no im talking about a sony ericsson forum, they all own the k850 but many say it's below par.
just accept the k850 has fallen behind phones such as n95/n82/g800/(even g600!)
still things might be rescued with the c905.
i just think the next nokia mobile may have something like 720x576 in terms of video recording.
i get the feeling the c905 will be outdated when other manufacturers release their higher megapixel phones.
