Listen guys, I used both phone nokia n95 and sony ericsson k850 and I analysis about both phone. To my utter surprise both set have awesome program but I want 2 infrom u that Nokia n95 was realised in 2006 and Sony ericsson k850 was 2007,Sony Ericsson can use many technical term with the phone's camera, on the other hand Nokia doesn't. Inspite pf this Nokia could bring a great phone with 5 mp camera . I love the mobile that has a huge longer lasting bettery and it's popularity, I love Sony Ericsson k850 too because it is a winner aginst Nokia n95.
@current K850i users, How is the voice dialing? Can one send email messages on this phone? How is looking up names and numbers and quick text messaging? Thanx, eddie
I used the N95 for 4 months and what Dani was saying about the N95 is all true. The GPS was crapy, I thought the web brousing was slow very slow compared to my TILT. The N95 camera beats the tilt hands down though. As far as battery the tilt sucks. The last sony ericsson I had was the W800, and I really liked it except for my coverage because I use ATT which uses 850/1900 where the phone only had 1900. I used the K790 for about 15 days and loved it but was venturing down other roads the N95. So I really want to buy the K850i, but I am giving up my tilt for it and I am afraid I will miss it. Opinions suggested please. And spot on Dani with your view about N95. Thanx, eddie
just to let anyone considering buying a new phone know, got the se a few days ago, and i'll tell you it's a little phone
Rogers in Canada offers the n95 8gb for $400.00 on a 3 year vision plan and the k850 for $200.00 on a 3 year vision plan. Why? The n95 8gb is twice the phone the k850 is! I asked them at rogers which one is selling more. The n95 8gb!!
k850=40mb internal memory, n95 160mg internal memory. k850 8gb, n95 can hold 16gb sdhc micro sd and more! k850 has a smaller screen than the n95 and there is next to no differance in the overall size between the 2 phones. No wi fi,no 3.5 jack and no GPS. The keypad is far superior on the n95 and the n95 scroll is not on the keypad like it is on the k850 surronding the 2 and 5. Now thats looks stupid on the k850. Whats the matter did the designers run out of room on the k850 for the scroll! Buttons are to small for texting as julie and brynn both said!
your wrong once again LOL!
this is the truth about N95
I agree that n95 does kind of integrate a lot of things into 1 device but my problem is its not superior in any feature.
gps is not the best of its kind
camera isnt the best - omg stabilityand flash is bad
battery life isnt the best still
video capture isnt the best
OS still slow even after the upgrade.
the sliding mechanism is unreliable
document viewer and editor isnt the best too
the good bits like 8gb memory, large and quality display size were there to compensate for its lack of superiority but that wouldnt do for me.
N95 is like:
" jack of all trades - a master of none "
therefore SE is Master of ALL !
SE 4 LYF
yeah but sony erricsons dont do anything...
their flagship cameraphone is beaten by a all-on-one nokia smartphone which doesnt even have xenon flash.
how do you feel.
this phone is awesome. picture quality and the whole is brill, now i know everyone nokia nokia nokia. but as a photographer you cant fault it. Sadly let down on the video side. If it had 120 fps video recording like Viewty then i would say this is the best camera phone. the only thing N95 has on it is satnav.
Last saturday night my friends and I went on a pool party. I've got K850, three of my friends got Nokia phones - N70, 66xx, and guess what?
Two more got Cyber-shot cameras.
So what happened?
I took pictures (and videos), Cyber-shoters took pictures, and Nokia-users - nahdah.
Their batteries went down flat zero before the party ever started.
I'm not kidding about this one - based on a real life situation Nokia is useless.
Now, that said. How is texting and using the phonebook for quick dialing? How well does the voice dial work? What exactly is the new firmware supposed to improve? And can you do things like check your emails? Thanx, eddie
K850 is the best camera phone the reason is..
1)5 Megapixel cybershot monster with excellent image output.
2)Camera features such as Bestpic, photofix was quite handy.
3)Easy to access toolbar setting option for camera.
4)K850 contains walkman 3.0 player with excellent result.
5)UI-Auto rotate for excellent portrait and landscape option.
6)Faster UI operation even with Gigs of data.
7)Excellent battery backup.
8)Dedicated hardware keys for the camera similar to that of digicam.
9)Powerful Xenon flash for better images at night.
10)3G internet for fastest web browsing.
11)Natural color rendering produces absolutely natural images without any over saturation.
12)Faster response with camera while taking photos
id like you to explain the logic of a phone having too many features, making it boring.
if you're on a long train journey mate, you want an able phone.
omg i have athe perfect example. well im on orange right and they dont let you use your phone abroad unless you ask them...so i was stuck in a hotel. i wanted to check my emails...:O symbian browser + wifi = perfect!

id rather have K850i or W960i .
its just me.
thank you sir;)
Just received my K850 last Friday and found it very easy to use. As everyone points out the camera is excellent.
Only disappointment is the casing feels a bit plastic in compared to Nokia / samsung equivalents. Otherwise extremely good camera and the battery looks like its going to last well.
