i thought that was just my phone, the 98/99% charging thing. i was like ... wow, this phone charges slow. haha.
Yup its always 99. But I had mine charged up to 100 once when it was off. Maybe that 1% is because you are currently using the phone (I mean the phone has reception, or in standby, etc.) while on "charging" status. Don't know about it.
I believe you are using a R1CA037 version of k850i. I don't know if the new firmware R1DA038 has fixed this slight problem.
i need some help here... y my hp always charge till 99% then it stop charging already... i go to phone status there just show 99% only.. y it cant charge till 100%?
well, my opinion is that If the phone sells well, its price doesn't change that much. If it doesn't satisfy customers a lot, the price would become cheaper.
Nokia's case is different. We all know that Nokia insanely produces a lot of models compared to other producers. So, when new better models come out, the older ones have to bow down, even by a bit of price.
It also depends on what country you are in. In my country Nokia's price changes more often than others, especially during the transition from monochrome to camera phones. SE exhibited the same during the transition from the Ericsson alone to SE.
It is just my opinion though, I might as well read alot from your opinion.
Have a nice day ^_^
well here in the UK
Nokia's depriciate aloooot!
SE hold there value aloot better...here in the UK
Nokia depriciates easily. I don't know but in the Philippines its true.
To be honest you might get disappointed with this one, but if you really am willing to, you might see this few points.
1.The Camera sometimes take dark photos. So pay attention on how to use it i.e. how to handle it when taking pictures
2.The Softkeys are touch sensitive and requires almost no pressure to press, which makes the other buttons a bit hard to press. Also, if your hands are quiet large, typing might be a hassle. My hands have adapted to it anyway.
3.You will have to wipe the phone from time to time because of its glossy mirror-like cover. However, with proper handling the phone shines quite briliant and is almost scratch-free. ^_^ and don't ever drop it. like I said, its like a mirror.
3.It isn't a smartphone - it doesn't edit office files and it isn't symbian. And when editing SMS, the space function in SE is the # sign, not Zero like in Nokias. However, it has Copy and Paste function.
4.It's buggy. there are few things you need to know about software updates. search the net about R1DA038 or R1CA037. search the net about how to look for the firmware version of SE phones. If your lucky you might get the latest version R1DA038 with better Camera drivers. Well, if you ask me I'm not bothered by bugs coz I find it really not that annoying.
I was disappointed about the phone after GSMarena's review. But I didn't listen. ^_^ well, they were right actually. But I wasn't regretful. It actually is a pet phone I might say. I'm actually loving it. Especially when playing with the accelerometer. Look in the net about it anyway.
One more thing - always choose generic unbranded models. I believe they are better.
These are just my opinion about it. I'm not a loyal SE Fan. Its just that I saw in K850 the things i want in a phone.
I hope somehow it helped even by 1%.
Have a nice day ^_^'
love at first sight. thats wat i felt wen i first saw the phone. i really want k850i and im planning to buy this one tomorrow. im a nokia user before. but nokia phones depreciates easily (i mean the price value)

Sorry to burst your bubble but GSM-Arena is not an English site geografically speaking, otherwise it would likely to end in .co.uk!
I believe they are in fact a Czech based company and website! They only ask for people to communicate in English as its the most commonly spoken, intermediary language across the whole of Europe!
I own a K850i and I absolutely adore it, i think its the Dog's Dangleys! If you ever own one you will understand! :-)
Seeing as you're posting on this forum maybe you can answer me a simple question? You can take a guess if you like...
Do you remember when mobile phones were a modest size, and Nokia made thier phones smaller and smaller? Can you tell me what happened to their ethos? What changed their strategy to say that, holding a house brick up to your head was ever fashionable?
Can you tell me Nick? Can you tell me...
PSP PHONE with UMD of SE, leaked picture @ http://www.tecnocino.it/articolo/psp-phone-doppio-scorrimento/6129/
k850i is like a candybar
n95 is like a huge brick ready for constructing a house.
k850i is known to be a camera expert, it is known to be Cyber-shot... unlike n95, carl zeiss lens does nothing to do in the picture.
k850 is not that bad on video recording unlike n95 bad on still photos, still bad on video recording.
SE rocks, Nokia sucks

I owned this phone for two days, and it was fantastic during the time. Great pictures, auto rotation for pictures and video. Keys were small and weird but it wasn't uncomfortable. In response to the recent post, for some strange reason you have to use Mass Storage mode ( not media mode) for the media program to transfer music and pictures to the phone, I was rather excited to get this working and when it was finished , I ejected the phone but apparently this wasn't enough and when I disconnected the usb cable, the phone wouldn't turn on again no matter what, only mass storage mode would work. I got this phone when it first came out, I love Sony Ericsson especially for the camera, but this phone was fragile and disappointed me, so I returned the phone where I bought it and told them it was defective( took a while) and instead of replacment , I choose store credit and bought a Nokia N95( because it was proven to work with no bugs), everyone says they prefer the quality with the N95 saying it's the best but I still feel my pictures I took with the K850 were better( and I keep them saved to remember).
K850 video really does suck in comparison even for 320x240, but I read recent firmware imporved this, but ericsson was never good with video recording anyway.
