Yep i agree to ur comment below. Nokia use cheap components. wereas Sony ericsson use expensive componenets.
Too all you Nokia Fans. I was once a VERY BIG fan of Nokia but now I gave up.
First of all before you lot keep dissing which phone is better read what I am writing coz this is from experience. I have K850i, P1i, N95, N95 8GB & N81.
I have tested all these phones so here are the details for battery life;
Listening to Music via Speaker full Volume for 2 hours, Wi-fi usage for 1 - 3 hours, 10 txt, 3 or 4 calls n battery dead within 10 Hours. (3G Mode, Full Display Resoultion, Wifi 100mw)
13 - 16 Hours life if phone used in 2G Mode, Half Display, Wifi 4mw)
- N95 8GB
Lisnteing to music for 1 - 3 hours via headphones, calls lasting 40 mins all together, Camera taking 5 - 12 pics, Video recording, Wifi for about 2 - 3 hours n battery dies within 16 hours (3G Mode, Full Display Colour, Wifi 100mw)
if using 2G Mode, Half Way Colour Display, Wifi 4Mw u wil get up to 2 days battery life.
- SE K850i
listening to music for 2 - 3 hours, txt about 20 odd, 1 - 2 hours calls all together, taking about 10 odd pics, video recording n still throughout the day battery still FULL. it will last up to 3 days n maybe 4 possibly. (3G Mode, Full Colour Display)
If setting it to 2G mode, Full colour Display, battery will last up to 5 days! outstadanding performance.
My verdict is that N95, N95 8GB, N81 perform better over K850i in Features wise, coz nseries have a lot to offer ie gaming, music, wifi etc wereas SE is just a nomral phone for camera, music etc but not for hardcore stuff such as gaming, softawre installing etc. However main crucial point is that the K850i beats any nseries phone in battery life wise.
My Comment to new people who are going to get a phone is this; whould they want a phone with more features or better battery life?
- Get Nseries for features
- Get K850i for Battery Life
Also do keep in mind Nseries phone are the buggiest phones, After about 3 - 8 months wen the phone are in market they gettter better software upgrade but sometimes nokia take features out n so on. Sony Ericsson on other hand release new updates wen it is necessary.
If those of u who have access to nokia discusisons boards like me u will notice in the software upgrades section how much firmware updates problems nokia have!
In future keep to Sony Ericsson untill Nokia fixes battery issue n software issues n that is my personal opnion
The nokia N95 does outclass this phone completely. No argument. its not cheap plastic!!! its actually a magnesium frame
Buy the K850 and the N82 and you will put the K850 in the garbage very fast! The K850 has nothing to offer, NOTHING! Only dark picture and very bad video recording (QVGA). The K850 and N82 have the same thickness, so don't say N82 is bulky. K850 price is 520USD and N82 price is 620USD.
The K850 is very expensive for what you get (RIP OFF). The design is ugly, the screen is small, you can't install nice application, this phone is the worst mistake of SE. The K850 cannot be on the category as N82. The K850 is not even as good as the K800. The N82 as no competitor yet!
Cybershot range is beauty-full and lightweight. Nokia phones are ugly, bulky, extra expensive, low quality software, hardware and body. N95 and 82 have 16M colors yet so much different. Why ? Nokia gps maps are not good as Google. At the end you get trapped and bound to pay more. In manual of n82 they recommand external gps chip. No flight mode to listen music and take shots in airplane. Flash is of cheap quality. Sound is bad. Softwares are in trial version. Nokia make fool by their advertisments. No sophistication.
Does anyone know how to rename a picture or video because I don't seem to be able to
forget about N95 and N82 and symbian
K850i is the BEST
SONY is the BEST!
@kDnq again (sorry for double post)
Everyone should learn how to use Symbian OS. It's as easy as learning how to use Windows OS on a PC.
Well, we all know how biased and hypocritic Americans and Canadians are. Maybe the server would have had a different reaction if he/she actually saw the front face of the phone, and also the BRAND.
The K850i CANNOT, and I repeat CANNOT, be on the same level as N95. First of all, the N95 is a SMARTPHONE, whilst K850i is NOT. The N95, as well as other Symbian/Windows Mobile OS devices, are literally PORTABLE COMPUTERS. You can install various helpful and useful third-party apps. WiFi gives the device a broader sense of connectivity. BTW, Symbian OS is the MOST user-friendly mobile OS currently available in the market. Its interface beats Windows Mobile and Linux hands-down.
I agree that N95 seems to be in the way of everything. Because the device itself is almost EVERYTHING. An "all-in-one" device. As I can see, Nokia is the only MAJOR rival against the likes of Apple and Microsoft.
I'm tired of cell phone with normal pic quality with bad video recording (QVGA) I will never this phone even if the price is 240USD. My K800 take better pic compare to the K850.
Next SE phone has to be build with VGA video recording and more features...Come on we are in 2007-08 already!
Umm.. did you know that Nokia owns about 30% of SYMBIAN market share?? Obviously, they they would take this as an advantage over the other brands. That's what business is: Competition, then monopoly. And Nokia probably also has a part ownership on Carl Zeiss lens
the screen resolution is the same with n82., only the colors differ
my connection would only appear either start with TCxx or ibxx...dont believe the others
