SE must improve on their video or else people will surely go with nokia n82 anytime of the day.
on youtube there are some great demo's of the k850 "these are proto types and not the full saling product so there will be bugs.
But it is a camera first and a phone second
Well, what if n95's camera is better? I suppose K850's camera is more than enough for house hold use or office use. And if you are a real professional photographer, HENRY, then go buy yourself a digital SLR not n95 or 82 whatever that is.
The choice is all yours. It depends on your prefrences. I prefer faster software. Solid construction. Good sound. So i'll go for k850.
And to be really honest nokia is like toyota or honda, there's nothing special in toyota cars but since they are toyota so everybody's sayin i want that similarly, nothin special in nokia but people are crazy because they think they'll get more respect by buyin nokia or... they'll feel richer or something...
This phone is outstanding, fast software, excellent camera, and lots of usable features.
The battery life and ease of use make this phone a top contender in my book.
In reply to Mr Padington,i bought the k800 a few months (6ish) after its release mainly for two reasons(1)To knock the price down(2) for the final stable version to be released .becoz going back to repair/exchange the phone is a hassle:(
So i would suggest, wait for a couple of months but do buy the phone as it is a significantly improved k-series phone and a bigger screened cell phone is always worth it in the end
Which version of the phone green and black or the blue and silver one is doing better(sales wise)?Which one do you guys prefer?i think the phone probably looks sleeker in the green version but i would have a blue one(if they made it with all black body).
I have the K800,
anybody who have "updated" to K850,
is it worth it???
This forum has become a fish market anybody comming ad asking stupid questions as where does blutooth switches onn .Talkserious experience n a wayh\ to teach parent company good software changes or faults odstyle not compatible.u hav to qualify better than on roads at least buying fone 500$ upgrade to be attainable to handle.
I have SE K850i and a Nokia N95 8gb and SE P1i so far all of my phones are working just fine i should agree that we better stop comparing phones and if you come to a point where you want to choose between them, choose a phone that not only suit your lifestyle but a phone that you can maximize your use of it.i say SE an Nokia Phones are the best cell makers.Se K850i is great as well.
my opinion is that you all should have something bether to do than comm some phones:| they`re only devices that facilitates our every day life...
don't really care what are people who their names appearing so many times in this say...maybe they are some jobless freak who has so much time posting the opinions in this and who are always dreaming to get a great phones like this and many others but cannot afford to buy it..:D...better get a professional review guys...hehehe
I don't car which brand it is! I am able to recognize a good cell phone compare to another. If SE would have build the N82, i would still love the phone.
I wanted to buy this phone K850 with camera 5 mega for personal purpose use bcoz I can use it direct printing to a printer. As I read carefully its full specifications, it does not hve infarred system for my printer use. How disappointed am I?
Never cease to amaze. You just keep lobbing softballs at me. You make it so easy. http://www.phonesource-usa.com/Sony-Ericsson-K850i-P-405.htm?gclid=CPSQj6uw4I8CFQibggod8jp07g
SE K850i $504.00
450 euros (you got something right!)But that converts to (you were doing so good)
N82 $657.00 not $600.00
A $153.00 difference. Dummy.
I know the "N" series has much better vid than the k850i. It was a mistake to release this phone w/o vga. Nokia is losing ground especially in the larger, mid-range handset market. Hence the focus on their higher-end phones. To think thats the end result of their main focus at nokia. Glenn plz don't follow 4Bbn around. He truly is dumb.
Look at the N82 features that K850 does/doesn't have: Rewritten and edited by Ed.
-Video recording(VGA 30fps)/K850i doesn't have this but is a better camera with more features and decent video.
-Built-in GPS receive/K850i has a optional gps attachment. Both are useless.(cannot be used in car) Better off logging onto google maps on your phone. I hope 4Bbn's gps leads him off a cliff.
-3.5 mm audio output jack/K850i has this not built in on purpose. It's fast-port allows for a in-line mic/3.5mm jack which allows you to recieve/make phone calls all while listening to music on the headphones of your choice.
-TV out/k850 has this as a attachment to quickport
-2.4 inches screen/K850i 2.2" and is 10, thats right 10mm's shorter. Which is huge in phone land.
-TFT, 16M colors/K850 doesn't have this cause it's a battery drain w/o any noticeable difference to the human eye.
-Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, UPnP technology/k850i does not have it. Nor will it have any of the viruses/trojans that come with public wifi. K850 is 3G, which last I checked is faster than most public wifi.
-MicroSD, hot swap, 2 GB card included/K850i does too. k850i does not come with a 2 GB card though. Seeing as that most ppl this level of phone purchasing will be getting the largest card possible at moment of purchase (6GB,8GB) the one it comes with doesn't matter. In fact they could cut down on price if they didn't bundle it.
A lot more important features for THE SAME PRICE. SE is going down!/Not any faster than your priest is on you. THE N82 Is $150 MORE ya putz!
If you need me to continue to make you look like a ass, let me know. I'm here for you 4Bbn.
Sorry for double post. It didn't load the lower half?
You mean to tell me newly released phone bought in hong kong had problems with it? NO WAY! I can't believe it. You should check the paint for lead too. They're normally so stringent over there. Shocking.
If I had to buy a nokia it would be the n95-3 north american one. n-95 8g is useless since mem cards are already the same capacity and it doesnt have a mem card slot.(way to plan ahead nokia)n82 is not 1st choice. When are you going to realize there is a reason se hasnt built in a 3.5mm jack. Fast-port with 3.5mm jack allows for in-line mic. There is a reason they don't use 16 million screens that are bigger. It kills battery! Do some research on things b4 you trash them. Perhaps you'll be heard more. PPL like>>>>>> 4Bbn
