Well I got my new SE K850i today after the problem with the "Operation Failed" message that appears when trying to do anything with text messages. I did try a Master Reset last night, which did actually do the trick but by then it was too late as I had to put it all back in the box ready for an exhcange! So they're going to get it back with nothing wrong (d'oh!). It's definately a fault with the phones firmware though and I've sent an email to SE describing the problem and how it ocurred, hopefully they'll be able to make something of it. Good service from o2 though with their returns! Rang them up wednesday evening and they sent me a replacement today... I'm just wondering how long it's going to take SE to come up with a fix, because I don't want to have to keep master reseting the thing everytime this happens!
The low-light pics are great. The flash is the best of any camera phone. It comes with a pamphlet in the box on how to properly hold the phone to take a picture. You can't have a single finger or object on the camera side when taking a pic, otherwise it messes with the light sensor affecting the flash firing. I'm sure alot of ppl didn't even read the paper.
Could you tell your dad that your friend Ed in NY needs a velvet blue k850i. That would be a solid. If you want to throw in the gps-enabler too that would be great. ;)
tracey its the other way round the n95 that takes the rich pictures and the k850i takes the natural ones i have compared them with my friend who has the n95 as they are being taken
LOOL, nice comment!
This is the reason why you're not incorperated with Sony, 007 or the movies in anyway, because you can't handle to use a SE phone.
You can't exactly send them all at once, not even with Samsung, but if you're talking about selecting and marking multiple images to transfer in one go, you just play around with the phone (because I don't know how the newer interface is) and try to find select multiple images, or send multiple, and choose bluetooth.
I just read this and AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Sony MAKES the lenses INSIDE the n-fanboy's "PRECIOUS" 'dupe of all phones'?
Too funny, but that's one point for Sony.
See boys and girls on Nokia land, this is WHY SE's hot.
Either way, nothing can be done about any phone. Once it's out, most likely, if it's not Nokia, it won't be changed other then by firmware. So this phone is locked into the body that it's in. K850 and N95 are better than each other in various aspects, maybe more over then the other, while the worthy-ness of the features might go to the one that loses in number.
All in all, it's down to the battle of the;
Features (bare essentials, no GPS or TV-Out crap, or no IT'S CYBERSHOT or IT'S Sony crap)
It's completely down to the feel, or the way you feel about it when you've used it. Which one your hand, not your feelings, but your hand will be able to be more dependant upon.
That helped me choose between the W850 and RAZR V6 nearly two years ago. V6 was just so ergonomic while the feel of the W850 was just awkward, so one point for Motorola from me there.
Anyway N-fanboys, stop coming into the SE territory, otherwise we'll have to just say that you just love coming back to SE because you want to keep looking at this phone. I'm so glad it's mutual.
its simple guys sony ericsson k850i takes richer more colorful pictures, which some people like, whereas nokia n95 8gb takes more natural pictures where the colors are not as rich, which others like. which is why if you like more rich colorful pictures you will like sony better, if you like more natural pictures without the rich color than you will like the nokia n95 8gb. its all in what you like rich colorful pictures than go for the sony, if you want less rich color and more natural than go for the nokia, as for me i thought i would like the more natural pictures in the nokia, but after looking at the pictures i like the rich colorful pictures that the sony takes
Can anyone tell me if the phone has trouble taking pictures in the dark? Ive read the Xenon flashes timimg is out and therefore the pic ends up black?
Can someone let me know how easy it is too bluetooth pics from the K850, my current Sony Ericson only allows sending one at a time, where my boyf Samsung allows sending all pics at once. . . thanks
dude, what does your dad do? you have like 10 phones! wat do you do with all of them, dont tell me you're using all of them at the same time. Oh by the way, can you tell me hows is the sound quality of k850i, is it good compare to symbian phones. is it as good and as loud as 3250 or louder?

PLS STOP THESE NOKIA FANBOYS!!:
Because in OUR opinion, sony ericsson is far way better than nokia, i have owned a lot of phone, i have nokia n73, but the camera and the overall system is horribly slow!, then i decided to buy a nokia n95, but, of course birds of the same feather flock together!, same problem so slow, and the construction and that color coating, easily flakes, same with the shrome peeling issues of nokia n76..
SONY ERICSSON COMES, MY LIFE SAVIOR:
After that ugly n95, ive downgraded my phone into a simple, Sony Ericsson K800i, but, im mistaken, i think i didint downgraded, but, upgraded my phone, superbly!!... after 1 week of use, ive switch into this, Sony Ericsson K850i, one of the best phone I ever had, i think second only to my vertu, but with a micro difference!..
SO IF THIS NOKIA FANBOYS WANTS A COMMENT AND COMPARING WAR, LETS CREATE THE SONY ERICSSON FAN BOY!! so the S.E. will have representative on the net!!.
THANK YOU, PLS READ
1) If a nokia fanboy votes lowest possible and SE fanboy votes the highest possible despite never even handling the phone, they cancel one another out! Leaving the mostly honest reviews to set the score. Simple math.
2)Perhaps you'd like to try reading a bit. It's the internet, information is limitless. Here ya go: http://www.letsgodigital.org/en/news/articles/story_4740.html
It's very possible Sony makes the lenses in your nokia.
is it heat sensitive someone told me it was but i want to knw cause i might buy it
It's marketing, people. An all-in-one phone, e.g. Symbian+Walkman+Cybershot, will hurt sales of those respective products. Who would just buy Walkman or Cybershot if they're both available in the same package? (Unless money constraints of course) Already, Sony is hurting sales of its own camera and MP3 player ranges by incorporating these technology into SE phones. So kudos to them.
Hey! Guys Check out these pics and wont belive great these enjoy!
