It's not funny some people do have that bad eye's but i don't care for 16m colours i prefer reliability so i WON'T get the n95
i wonder you refuse about GPS because of your eyes since you keep telling n95 price is 890USD
you cant even read the price, how can u read GPS? Now i understand the reason....as a gentlement i pity you as visual disability, but i am glad you still can write with a bunch of pointless reply..dun be sad, if you think n95 16million color are too bright for you blinky eyes, go for k850...i wun tease on that ok...hhh
NO MORE FLAMING! If you like the N95... GREAT - keep yours or buy one! Guess what, people are gonna buy what they either like or think they will like. Most people that would buy the K850i know what to expect, and until people have this phone in their hands all coments are speculative.
can anybody actually tell me how long the battery life is because on here it says up to 9hrs talk time but on the 02 site it says its only got 3 hrs... i want this phone but i need it to have at least 5 hrs talk time, please help!
guys, i have the manuscript for w960i and k850i, i have the full feature list and size everything about it, about memory etc....
memory...it is capable upto 32Gb .....then? hmm? it has lots of stuff in it..aroung 50+ pages...:P ahaaha
How comes lowpricecell.com have the K850 for weeks now & no one else has?
Again, the price of $750 is because the k850i is not officially released yet. And stop comparing it with the N95!
Same story every time...
"C'mon, please don't compare this with the N95. They are completely different, the N95 is a smart phone, and the K850i is a "normal phone". If you like to pay more for some (useless) gadgets, get the Nokia. If you want everything you actually need in good quality, get the SonyEricsson......"
just because it doesn't have Symbian OS,in-built GPS and WiFi doesn't mean that it's not smart. a smartphone is a phone capable of PDA functions alongside with it's extensive messaging and 3rd party application functions. well if you are not familiar with SE's new A200 platform(a.k.a. JP-8) it has quite similar number of programming APIs with symbian OS v8.0 and it even beats N95's S60 v9.1 with it's accelerometer API mandated by SE itself which was not available in S60 v3.1
Just wondering about the button backlighting. I've seen pics of only the blue one so far and it looks like the backlighting is blue as well. I wonder if the green one has green backlighting??? Any thoughts? Or has anyone seen pics of the green one other than the stock pics?
Where did you get the phone from in Melb? Was it from one of those mobile shops down at China town or something? Didnt think it was even officially released anywhere?
Let us know... been waiting on this one for a while.
True, I forgot about that. Every memory card has a theoretical 32GB maximum, so that only means, your phone is capable to a very theoretical 64GB.
Let's see SanDisk come out with the 16GB MicroSD(HC) card first, because Sony doesn't usually go past 8...
Most likely, you'll be able to sort it by ID3 tags, otherwise, it'll order the songs by the name of the file.
The thing about 16GB, is if you shave down on the plastic that surrounds the plastic flash memory, though they might cause interference with both cards. AND the phone might not sense both cards at the same time. But it's a probability.
-no answer.,(but it should be)
- theoretically it can handle 32gb of memory
Carphone warehouse are showing limited stock for the K850 on 02 on their website. Also stating "hurry while stocks last".

But, I have some questions which you probably could help me with:
- Is it possible to sort the tracks in the right no. of track in the new Media Player of the K850i? Handy if you have overflowing songs in an album...
- Is it possible to use a M2 card and a MicroSD at the same time? - And what's the max. GB's it can handle? The official site says 4GB, but I've read something about 16GB...
hello been scanning thru posts on k850i but the trouble is that altho its not out here in uk yet does anyone know in pounds a figure range wich this will fit into for sim free and payg...I ask this because in general its hard to define whether s/e sre going to make this a flagship model and charge a premium or just consider it a next step up and sell it at a fair price like 5mp samsung. My N95 is beeing sold because of faults and i am going to miss the video record resolution that attracted me to samsungs and nokias in first place,,but this is a step up from qcif/15fps but at what price??
Nope, it isn't. 1200 is not worth a brick. I'll just go to the habitate for humanity building and take one. Drill holes and put in a screen, and there you have it, an N95.
Also, N95 isn't worth 800, it's worth like 300. SE k850 is worth 500, because of it's exotic materials. I mean, who'd thunk it? The glass was the thing on the K850 that made it heavy. But that's why it's compact and sturdy.
Most likely, next model is not K880, though that one would probably be the thin K series phone, like the W880. The next flagship model would be K860, following the success of this here K850.
