Baig, 09 May 2009how can i make a firmware updateon the cd that u got with the phone there will be a few softwares. of them, install the SE PC Suite (version 4.0, i think) to back up all your data.
then use the SE Update Service software to update your firmware. its a simple procedure. 1st the program checks your firmware version and then downloads the latest version if required or available. Follow the on screen instructions. its simple.
u'll need your data cable too.
in case u dont have the cd download the programs from here
nick, 09 May 2009the k800 really was good value for money, and was a really nice handset when it came out, that... moreYeah but still K800i did have a good camera..
I might also considering getting Nokia 5310 though. (this is as a secondary phone)
I had the same problem "application failed" and it got progressively worse ie. i could'nt get into my games, apps, videos etc. either a firmware update over seus or a new flash if you wish to retrive those gaames that where deleted over DaVinci or Wotanserver which cost 7 Euros
Dani, 09 May 2009I might be buying a K800i again.the k800 really was good value for money, and was a really nice handset when it came out, that said, the N73 still trumphed it.
and yes, the cybershot branding is what pulls them through. It seems apparent that Sony Ericsson camera phones are not as good as the competition, and it is only a matter of time until consumers realise this.
K850i, 09 May 2009Is there any latest firmware update for K850i after(R1FA035)Yeah thats the latest firmware.
nick, 09 May 2009phones cost money, and a lot of poor people insist on buying really flashy phones, so i am jus... moreps 'pushing' is a form of force so why are you forcing ppl? why dont you 'show' ppl an alternative direction and let them judge?
Dr Adedoyin, 09 May 2009It appears you don't like the s.e. Symbian phones, otherwise, your preferences would have been... moreyes you are correct i am not too fond of symbian or touchscreen phones (yes i know k850 has a touchscreen part but its got a hardware alphanumeric keypad and dpad) i dont like symbian software at all hence why ive been usin SE for nearly 4yrs
nick, 09 May 2009phones cost money, and a lot of poor people insist on buying really flashy phones, so i am jus... morenick, you have a very very very good point and i think that you are correct about SEs value for money. i think SE should have put alot more into its so called 5mp 'flagship' especially when it came out after the n95 to compete with it but i think SE used the hype from the k800i (which is an excellent phone for its time) to help its sales and also and they relied on the cybershot branding too which i think they milk too much. and the answer to your qustion? i got my unlocked unbranded k850 in january for 25quid off my GFs mother and i dont think you can get an N95 for that price
