Use a free program like MP3Tag and erase the tags of your mp3 files in your PC before loading them into the phone...cannot be easier.

What i would really love is to have all my songs displayed by Artist - Song title. And that is how they are displayed in my computer but it always changes when it's in my phone and it groups them too and that's what i want to change.
Andy, 26 Oct 2012Easy to have a list of all your songs in alphabetical order: simply delete all their mp3 tags ... moreThat is exactly what i want, a list displaying Artist - song name. What is this mp3 tag? Is it an application? I'm sorry, i really don't know anything about smartphones... I did have folders in my old phone, like one for Dance music, other for Fado and so on. I would create a playlist by simply selecting the folder. I am not sure i can do that here, usually i have to select one by one. I am also not sure how to create folders but i will explore that. But yes, even with folders created, i would really like the phone to display Artist - song name and definitely not group them!
Tip 1: in the phone there is a folder called notifications. Create a folder called "Ringtones" inside, and put your ringtones files insides. That way you will have access to those ringtones in the sound settings for ringtones and also in the notification settings menu you have access to when you have clicked on the message icon
Tip 2: with MP3Tag write Ringtone in the "genre" of your mp3 ringtones. That way the phone will know what this file is, and won't mixed it up with your music files in the music player.
Tip 3: Use MP3Gain to have all your mp3s at the same volume (96 db is ok for me)

I use "name of singer-name of song" as my files' titles.
In my PC the mp3s are classified in different folders according to their kind of music, so i simply copy the folders in the phone.
Then on the LWW player i click on the upper left icon then choose Albums to have the list of the folders, or Tracks to have the list of all the mp3s in the phone in alphabetic order...
Great phone by the way, can play Riptide GP without a hitch, like my powerful GS2

Select "Tracks" in order to sort the songs in alphabetical order. Doesn't matter if the songs are stored in different folders.
1) The list will be sorted by song's ID tags, not by file name
2) I'd suggest you to restart the phone after you added new songs in order to add the songs info/tags to media storage database.

james79, 26 Oct 2012Just press the music icon in top left corner on walkman app!I guess you didn't get my question. I know how to access the player. I know how to create lists. It is just extremely confusing that it groups my songs instead of displaying them all in one list. I am asking if that is possible.
