james79, 05 Oct 2012Im quite happy with standard sdhc at present. Using 8gb version but I think a 16gb is needed. ... moreYou are correct, a class 4 sd card SanDisk or class 6 from other brand is more enough for this phone. The highest writing speed of sd card is mostly needed by this phone when recording video. To result a proper continuous HD recording file (without facing out sync problem) it needs a card with writing speed higher than 6MB/s - that's the avg bitrate of video recording that this phone can make. A Class 10 SanDisk sdhc with 30MB/s of writing speed is just overkilled for this phone.
Thanks for all the reply. So for clarifications sake what class can lww handle? Any official info from Sony?

Ive previously avoided higher class because of the price!

james79, 05 Oct 2012Actually there is! Ive just googled 'sandisk ultra class 10' and the first thing I see is sand... moreI think here's the official product name given by SanDisk: The SanDisk Ultra UHS-I http://www.sandisk.com/products/memory-cards/microsd/ultra-class10-for-android/
It's said that the card features a class 10 and UHS Speed class 1 ratings, means that on UHS compatible devices it will perform as its maximum speed capacity but in other devices it will perform like a standard class 10 sd card, so there's no use of using a UHS speed class card if your device support up to class 10 sd card only.
Anonymous, 05 Oct 2012There's no SD card class 10 UHS-I - or if you meant by uhs1. UHS or ultra-high speed sd cards ... moreActually there is! Ive just googled 'sandisk ultra class 10' and the first thing I see is sandisk ultra class 10 UHS-I 16gb so jean is right again. Jean doesnt normally get things wrong!
kay jay, 05 Oct 2012My camera lens coating was scraped off. Wondering whether this will make it prone to scratchesIt should be ok as ive not had any probs and the coating came off mine a long time ago!
nikko, 04 Oct 2012Has anyone used SanDisk 32gb class10 uhs1 on lww? Im planning to buy it but the salesman told ... moreThere's no SD card class 10 UHS-I - or if you meant by uhs1. UHS or ultra-high speed sd cards are the latest class speed categories which could provide minimum performance @ 50MB/s or 5x faster than the class 10 sd cards. The UHS-I or declared as UHS104 is the only class of ultra-high speed sd card which are currently available could transfer 100MB/s at its minimum performance. You won't get the benefit of its speed on LwW. This card requires UHS certified devices to be working on its max capability, if not it'll be read as a class 10 sd card - which costs only 1/8 - 1/4 UHS-I card.
