ratolsnik, when playing mp3s, open up the equalizer, select either one of the options like mega bass, treble, normal, pop, rock, jazzz......etc, u just need to choose one of the option with regards to the type of mp3s u are listening to.
john doe, p990i is a great phone, after the latest firmware update, most application opens up fast, ringing tone must louder, mp3 player voice clarity much better etc, SE just need to work on the alarm, a bit too soft. If you ever decides to purchase any phone, do not listen to others opinion, just test out the phone,
sometimes the best thing to do to be able to discern it's cons and pros is by holding it with your hand, exploring it and using it in such time before making a desicion of purchasing it. review does help very well but personal usage matters most.
to calvin,,,thats 3 separate reports ive read on gsm arena about the e61 being a competent fone,,im going to have a look now since its been recommended so much,,altho ive cursed my p990 to bits it does get better with updates but on another point rim blakberry are starting to bring out camera type fones now so im keeping an eye on that forum for advice and postings plus with t-mobile uk offering all you can eat for £7.50 im looking to see if the sidkick 3 is any good but just trying to broaden my horizons in the nokia s/e battles that go on and on,,quite honestly none are up to scratch,,definetly not going for s/e p1 or n95 so see wat pops up over next few months, contract up in november,, but you know that feeling you get when a brilliant product is released and you cannot wait to get it,,well,,have not had that feeling for months !!!
hell i am hondureÑa and i not like the telphone very ugly y complacated
My experience with the P990i has fortunitely been a pleasurable one. After the latest firmware update it has just got better.I read all the comments and the bad far outweigh the good.Pity about that.So about upgrading your phone in two weeks. If its a SE you really want,I say get the p990i and update firmware so your experience can get off to a good start and you dont have to encounter what most those comments cover.Or if you looking at a Nokia I would recommend a Nokia E61i.I loved the E61 and the 'i' gives you a camera and i think a radio. My second choice of phone after the P990i.Good luck in making your choice.I love my 'stable' P990i. :)
The release of P1 means that SE has 'officially' announced that there is a shortage of RAM in P990. This may be bad for u coz it will seriously drop its(P990's) resale value. P1 only has more RAM but NO VGA screen? The 3.2CAM is not much worth an upgrde but if its more stable then the scared away developers may turn towards UIQ 3 once more other than very basic applications.
should i buy this mobile or not i need da advice please or temme another mobile in this range
i will cut to the chase here, i am due an upgrade in two weeks time and am thinking of getting my first smartphone. i have heard rumours of the p990i having lots of software bugs and being unreliable.
is it really as bad as people make out or is it user error?
i would welcome opinions from people who actually own and use this phone for business,
as opposed to the 'NOKIA GREAT - SE SUCKS'brigade!

is there any other way to adjust the volume aside from using the jog dial?
that is the final version now i mean in 10 may?what is the final version realese number?
Yes u can. Either thro the wired handsfree or thro the Bluetooth stereo handsfree
Great free themes are avaliable for our phone on www.UIQ.com
Can you listen to the music (songs) on this phone through bluetooth headphones? Thanx in advance.
My advice. Before posting about a problem on your P990,spend some time trying to fix the problem yourself,in most cases you can.It just takes a little time exploring.I suppose it just gets tiring hearing about all these nigly problems when in most cases they just user errors or ignorance.Im not saying dont post problems.Just stop been lazy and try be a bit more self efficient.Thats part of the FUN.Fixing it yourself and then if u cant, posting and asking for assistance.Just want this phone to get a better deal.I think it deserves better than its getting.
